I recently picked up a 2023 klx230r off road only model. Like you, i am surprised by the lack of aftermarket support for this bike. But that's not a problem, except for hand guards and skid plate, I'm leaving it stock. Ricochet makes a nice skid plate for the klx230. Handlebar, levers, and foot pegs may get replaced too after I bend or break them.😊
I agree with you, It is like the little brother of the KLX300 but has better equipment, like the LED headlight. I have yet to find handguards as well. I ordered generic ones and of course, they did not fit ... lol The only other item I wish it had is a gear indicator. Funny enough, there is a space for it in the instrument cluster, not sure why Kawasaki did not enable it.
Both were ebay finds, let me see if I can find them again. The rear rack made a huge difference to have something to hold onto when moving the bike or picking it up, highly recommend.
The KLX 230 is a great bike, I got one myself back in 2020 when it was available here in Sweden, also got myself the original rear rack from Kawasaki. I don't see alot of the KLX230 today here, no new ones :( I'm looking to upgrade my exhaust to some louder and deeper sounding type, what brand would you recommend for the KLX230?
I looked into that as well but the reality is that for some reason despite being a fantastic little bike, it never caught on, hence options are very limited. There are a few options on ebay from China and Thailand but not sure what you are getting there. Sorry, I could not be of more help. I did the air intake mod which changed the noise level somewhat which was good enough for me.
@@hasianmanik8689 And I don't need to re-map or flash the bike's ECU then? Just swap the pipes? My KLX230 is a 2020 model with ABS, and it has that oxygen sensor on the pipe.

I am running the specs from Kawasaki, 22PSI in the front and 29PSI in the rear. I am riding 50/50 street/gravel & sand roads and it does just fine. Hope this helps.
Always add some stickers along with some common sense mods looks good! Peace from Minneapolis Minnesota. ✌

Looks good. Just put a deposit on one today. Happy riding
Congrats! and happy modding ... =) I added a Garmin Zumo XT after the video so I don't get lost anymore ... lol
Good stuff. Gave it a like. Could you please provide links for the bash plate and rear rack?

Looked everywhere for footpegs like yours. Would you have a link? Biggest improvement to my ‘22 klx230s was a seat concepts upgrade…😏
They are Pivot Pegz, my go to brand. www.pivotpegz.com

Not tapped into but rather using a clamp that is wrapped around it and using a black mirror hole plug to close the opening.
What exhausts would make it louder? I just got one for finishing my rosa and looking to make her a bit louder
There are a bunch of systems on ebay in the 150-300 range. I personally just removed the snorkel from the air intake to give it a bit more growl.
Do you still have the link for the rear rack, looks like it fits so well!
