Driving through the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl while driving in North Grenada

- On 1st July 2024 hurricane Beryl made landfall as a category 4 destroying the sister islands of Carriacou and Petit Martinique.
On the mainland of Grenada most of the damages to houses were on the northern side of the island, but there were loads of fallen trees all over the island.
Here is a look at what it was like driving in the north of the island assessing the damages.

Keep doing what you do to bring info to interested people. I am not Grenadian, but I love the island and the people. Grenada is in my prayers.😢
Your support helps me bring it, so thanks for watching and commenting
Thank you. This video is very informative.
You are welcome!
Thanks for the upload bro. I expected this. I'm glad more houses were not damaged. Coconut trees seem to be very wind resistant.
Yeah coconut trees can usually handle a strong storm.
Thank you for your service, you are so kind!

Bless you sir. My wife and I just got back from Grenada 2 weeks ago. We rented a car and drove all over the island. Usually when we go we stay on Mt Moritz with my wife's family but this time we stayed on Morne Jaloux. Seeing the church on Leapers Hill made it seem like we were there again.
Hopefully when you come back it will be back to it's usually glory in the north
Thank you. I was hoping to see how Mount Rose is, but it’s good to see that most people’s homes in other parts of Saint Patrick didn’t take too much damage.
We didn’t pass inland Mt Rose way, took the coast instead.
Thanks for sharing. I too was watching to see you pass through MT Rose but perhaps another time. Keep up the good work.
I wasn't sure if the road inland was cleared, so we took the coast
Thank for sharing I love looking at my 🇬🇩
Glad you enjoyed
Thank for think about our animals ❤

Thank you for the update. I am a Grenadia, born in carriacou and living in the UK England. Once again thank you for your coverage.
Happy to share. I should be on the ground in Carriacou soon
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Good Job Dr
Thanks
Thank you. I’ve been worried about my family in Sauteurs.

Thank you

Well, I see electricity lines in place, you still have green and many trees survived. I see no landslides. It was bad, but not as bad as Maria in 2017.
I congratulate you and your government for those really steady electric lines. Hopefully you'll recover faster than we ever did.
The landslides were in the interior of the island.
Most of the downed electric lines and so on as well.
But the main damages were in the north and on the sister islands of Carriacou and Petit Martnique
My next video should reflect what happened up there
Thank you for the update. I saw at the end of the video that you were in seamoon. I have family there, was there alot of damage you could see around that area?
Besides the flooding only a few places I saw with damages
@drcartervet Thank you for the update, sir🙏🏾
You cut at Swayzeez, I take that to mean that both Swayzeez and the other guest house on the cliff facing the sea are fine.
They looked fine yeah. We were checking the cattle there
Doc, did you get some time to drive from St. David's to St. Andrew's? Thanks once again!!
Yeah, the eastern main road is cleared and not too much damages in those areas. Grenville was locked up, but didn’t see any significant damage.
@@drcartervet Thanks plenty! I was born in St.David's, but lived in Hope St. Andrew's.
Jus kidding eh..y u hating on my hometown Gouyave..man i jus needed a glimpse..
We passed through Gouyave and they were good, normal Gouyave things were happening.
