How the hell is this possible? How can this be so perfect??? This is a live performance by a relatively little known (or at least not overly hyped) pianist and it is better than any of the other 20 studio recordings of this piece I have heard with the greatest piano magicians. Well, for me anyway. This is definitely my new reference recording for Scherzo und Marsch. By far. Thank you to Maestro Abduraimov for this transcendental performance!

This is more than just another talent with great virtuosity. Abduraimov has something to say, when he makes music. He is the most extraordinary artist to enter the ranks of great artists I have seen for a very long time.

Very impressive performance revealing Liszt once again ahead of his time with the percussive details emerging clearer&cleaner than anybody else's.Maybe the acoustic&piano are just too clean&dry as i miss the demented urgency of expression heard chez Horowitz,(particularly H's grisly menacing Mahlerian Marsch).This is one of many of Liszt needing invention to replace the dreadful ending(H once again!).But at this point Bezhod is best of all, fantastic.I don't understand such tepid applause...

I'm glad you've discovered him too! I heard him play this very piece in London and was equally (if not even more) riveted then! He can also play Schubert beautifully. (I do however prefer Steinway sound!)

The audience sounds like it's been woken from a nap. Scandalous.
No, it's not Scandalous ,, it's the normal reaction of being DAZZLED,, Audience have been stunned by the technic and the performance, it takes about a second or a fraction to restore the full conscience again, that's why you got the sensation as if they were awaken from a nap.

You were lucky if he plo a Steinway in London.The piano sound & acoustic work against him here;i'd love to hear this in more sympathetic conditions.The older pianos have great sound but in their modern production WineWay&Stains wins over Booze-end-offer!
