Funny story, Kevin Conroy leaked Arkham Knight before it was even announced, sometime before Origins released. When asked if he was in the new Arkham game, Conroy said yes. But when he heard Arkham Origins he said "Arkham what," and to which someone responded "which game are you talking about?" Knight took nearly 2 years to make and most of the production time was just recording dialogue and most of the original cast were too busy, Origins was only made to keep fans happy in the meantime.
Yea when I was younger I thought origins was it's own game because it didn't go with Arkham asylum and Arkham city and batman's voice was different than I realized that the game goes back to batman's early years as a crime fighter and he is way younger and inexperience
Fun fact. Shiva has multiple ties to the Bat Family, as one of the trainers of Tim Drake in his attempts to become the 3rd Robin, as well as the mother of Cassandra Cain, the 2nd major Batgirl.
@@BabyThor420Isn't Steph Batgirl after Cass, I think she did debut before her, but as Spoiler, then Robin, she only became Batgirl after Cass vacated the role and I said major because most modern lists discount Bette and Make Barbra the original Batgirl, although technically Cass is still 3rd as Huntress was Batgirl using the same suit, at the start of No Man's Land before being stripped of the title, which was then handed to Cass, and again, most people listing would discount her.
@medafan53 Yep, Steph was Batgirl after Cass. You're right on that one. Though I still consider Bette Batgirl. While her introduction was for a weird reason (Parents didn't want their kids to think Bruce and Dick were gay because they shared a bed), she is still the OG Batgirl.
Considering how Origins was made mainly so that we wouldn’t be waiting too long for another Arkham game whilst Rocksteady worked on Arkham Knight, Origins turned out pretty well, I think it’s got the best story out of all the Arkham games as well as some of the best boss battles, voice actors are great, combat is still as solid as ever, and getting to visit the original Batcave was just great, the main gripes I have with Origins is that the world doesn’t really feel alive and I don’t feel like I’m in Gotham City, it just feels like Arkham City with an extra Island with a long bridge connecting the two but apart from that I do enjoy Origins and am happy that you’re not skipping it 🙂

Deathstroke funny enough was the inspiration behind Deadpool. The creator loved the Teen Titan comics that heavily feature Deathstroke as one of the villains so he based Deadpool on Deathstroke while also pulling from Spider-Man as well. To make reference to this connection they named Deadpool Wade 'Wilson' a nod to Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke.
Yeah, having watched Skyytea go through the Arkham games a few months ago, seeing her constantly launching thugs into orbit was a highlight of her play through and I'm sure it'll be the same here.

Glad to see this being played. I always recommend playing this game, being 'early Batman' stories, as knowing the past gives more weight to what happens in Knight. I also recommend Gotham Knights. While it's not considered an Arkham game (and I haven't finished it yet) but I do find it fun playing as Batman's sidekicks, learning more about them, and seeing how they handle keeping Gotham safe similarly or differently to Batman. Plus I really think you'd like Harley's looks as cosplay while playing
Great playthrough! Loving your learning about these villains. Deathstroke had a good representation in live action with the CW's Arrow. Also his best animated representation was in the animated Deathstroke movie.
I love that you read some comics whilst playing Arkham Asylum and City, it makes Arkham Origins that much better when your familiar with some of the lore. I’m so glad I found this channel, I love these playthroughs!
I've got one more note on Lady Shiva, since you were so interested, and it isn't in any of the games. Just the comics. When Tim Drake (Robin 3, whom you met in the last game) was training to take up his cowl, Lady Shiva was one of his teachers. She's the one that instructed him in the use of the bo staff, and he was eventually able to defeat her with it, making him one of the best in the world with the weapon. She's a pretty interesting, if rather minor, character.
Once more, your enthusiasm, eagerness to learn and bubbly persona makes my day. Hope you get to all this game has to offer cause I think there’s a lot you’ll like here.
This is the first Mirandalorian playthrough I am watching (I mean to watch the others too). I have played the other Arkham games but I don't own this one so it will be fun to see everything the same time as you
In spite of Origins not being a part of the "official" trilogy, it is a GREAT game. The voice-acting alone is superb. Roger Craig Smiths impression of Conroys Batman is spot-on and really fits a "younger" Bruce Wayne / Batman. Story, gameplay, cutscenes... everything about this game is really well done.
Dude, let’s go! This is easily one of my favourite Arkham games. It’s so underrated and does a great job at contrasting this more vengeful and raw Batman compared to the main trilogy.
When I JUST set my mind to gaming, I can actually play through it thoroughly really quickly! The reason it takes me so long is because I edited in between gaming days! I dedicated my time to just finishing the game before editing and it really helped!
Miranda you're gonna love death stroke and Shiva. The only few of the characters to genuinely give Batman some challenge in combat. Shiva is also the mother of Cassandra Cain, who is one of Bruce's ward.
The cutscenes of this one are absolutely elite - they did a really good job on that aspect, and the investigation mode was a step up vs the Arkham games for me.
Slade Wilson (Deathstroke) is one of my favorite DC villains. He appears in several other DC heroes' comics as a villain and he was also the inspiration for Marvel's Wade Wilson (Deadpool)
Deathstroke and Bane are the definite standouts of this game for me! Plus the crime scene investigation that actually got carried forward into Knight and essentially copied by Detroit Become Human, those were definitely an innovative feature of this game.
OMG I GOT BATMAN ORIGINS OFF THE STEAM SALE TOO LOL. I rebought it since I don't have my old PS3 anymore, but when this game first came out it was awesome! You should've been there when the Arkham Origins Mulitplayer was still up. 2 people played as Batman and Robin, and as the Dynamic Duo, your goal was to take out thugs to raise your Fear Meter. If it fills all the way up, the heroes win! The other players play as a thug in either Joker or Bane's gang. You could even get the chance to play as Bane or Joker!!! It's still technically possible to play the Multiplayer, but you'd need to mod your PC copy of the game. It's pretty simple tho! Hope you enjoyed this game. It's my second favorite right behind Arkham Knight!
I'm excited for this playthrough, as this will be my first time experiencing the story in full. Unfortunately the game initially released with a bug which could corrupt your save data, and halfway through my own playthrough my data was corrupted. I was so disappointed that I didn't restart the game, though I did manage to get a complete refund. Seems like the leftover bugs are more the harmless and fun type now, so hoping you have a great experience with it.
I'm sorry that happened! Yeah this version wasn't bug free either! I couldn't finish the black mask side mission because getting into the church was bugged, which means I also can't finish enigma!
I'm so stoked! This is my favorite Arkham game, and I was planning to replay it right around the time you started on Asylum. So I held off, choosing to live vicariously through your first time through it. Can't wait to see what you think about the narrative twist in this one!
Knight may always be my favorite, but origins is special to me in a very unique way. It came out my freshman year of high school and it was the first game I ever followed the news of up until it came out. I would watch every trailer, every gameplay demo, I even redrew all the promotional art that came out for it. I make it a tradition to play this game every Christmas ever since I first got it because it’s such a huge part of my teenage years and is just an incredible game that, just like all of the Arkham games, everyone should play💙🦇
1:05:45 You completely misunderstood that about Killer Croc, nobody has said anything chameleons. It is about his skin condition and how continues to get worse for him, that is why it mentions his appereance changing.
Just to clear up the question on Calendar Man, I'm pretty sure you're thinking of how in Long Halloween he's not "The Holiday Killer" so isn't guilty of those particular murders, but he's still very much a serial killer. (It's a lot like how, in The Silence of the Lambs, Clarice goes to talk to Hannibal Lector to gather some profiling information about a different killer on the loose, with Batman and Gordon going to Calendar Man to get information about The Holiday Killer.)

Origins and knight are my favs of the arkham games. I love them so much. I own so many arkham knight figures pops and posters lol. Origins has some of my fav gameplay and leveling systems
Black Mask is my favorite Batman villain. He basically a mix between Joe Pesci from “Goodfellas” & Tuco from “Breaking Bad”. Suave, intelligent, but more sadistic and violent than nearly any villain. It’s why Joker was able to impersonate him and no one noticed. Mask is just as crazy
34:52 Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I personally prefer the way Arkham Asylum and Arkham City generally have more of a quirky, cartoony feel. The whole reason I like Batman so much in the first place is because Batman: The Animated Series was my favourite childhood show. So, I very much appreciate how obvious it is that Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were both heavily inspired by that show. Not only do Asylum and City feature the same two voice actors from The Animated Series (Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill), but they're also not afraid to be a bit goofy and far-fetched in certain ways. Even the menus in Arkham Asylum (when you're looking at the character bios and such) have a very comic/cartoon-like feel, which I think is a great aesthetic. I'm not as much of a fan of the way Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight have a much more serious tone to them. I find their tone to be more akin to the Christopher Nolan films, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's just not something I care for quite as much. Anyway, keep up the good work! It's been really fun following your playthroughs, knowing you were new to the Batman universe when you started all this. 🙂
I honestly liked the boss fights in this game more than the others. Kevin or Mark may not have voiced their guys, but the actors they got here did pretty good.
This game has an online multiplayer. I remembered playing it with my friends. Idk if they took the servers down, but if not, I recommend playing it. It’s super fun
I hope you have a wonderful playthrough Miranda!! You are making me so excited to pick these games up for the first time! I hope you have a wonderful week ❤️
When I was a kid, Calendar Man wasn’t a killer, but when I was a kid, a lot of them weren’t except the Joker. He was always a killer. He just forgot from some time in the 40s until like 1973.
Miranduhh....errr i mean Miranda will have a blast playing Batman Arkham Knight....specially the opening scene of it will blow her away... 😎 Not to mention it has quite a number of ridiculous jumpscares at the perfect moments! 😎
So it makes since why Killer Croc is called a croc, because much like how a croc sheds their skin to grow and change so does Wayland Jones. It's really interesting to me how they adapted the themes of a crocodile to create a Batman villain!
My favorite story in the Arkham games & love the elements of year 1 in this seeing Bruce be 2 years or so into being Batman & people think of him as a myth & I love Alfred in this! Year One highlights Selina well too it’s so funny people in that comic keep thinking she and him are working together when she’s trying to make her own image
Just a heads up, when you're using detective-mode and looking at a door, if it's got three vertical yellow lines at the bottom of it, that means the door is locked. It's a useful shorthand for telling which direction you're meant to go in.
If you want to see a lot more of Jim Gordon like you were saying, you should check out the TV show "Gotham". It takes place right after Bruce's parents are murdered in front of an adolescent Bruce Wayne, give or take a few months I think. And the show follows a lot of Bruce, from grieving orphan kid, to the day he became The Batman. But more importantly for what you were saying, it also follows a lot of Jim as well. As he tries to clean up Gotham, as well as its infamously corrupt police station. Obviously I won't spoil any of the actual meat of what all happens in the show, that's just the basic premise of it.
Sorry if anyone thinks the info I put in is too much as well, I just suck at summarizing things succinctly, as it is I deleted and re-wrote a ton of this, trying my best to give a clear explanation of the premise, without spoiling too much.
The game where it all started the younger most badass version of batman they portrayed him sooo much better in this game then in arkham asylum city and knight in this game batman was kicking a*s and taking names 👊
Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker took over as Batman and Joker respectively. Barbra Gordon also got a new voice actor and James Gordon was actually voiced by a different actor in each game. Everyone else such as Bane, Enigma, Vicky Vale, Alfred and so on retained their voice actor. Fun fact for you, Enigma AKA Riddler is the only character to appear in all four games with the same voice actor.
The voice you're talking about is none other than Roger Craig Smith. Voiced Ezio in Assassin's Creed 2 through Brotherhood, Crane from Dying Light 1, and Chris Redfield in Resident Evil 5 and 6. Great voice actor that's been kinda laying low in the voice acting industry

Also if you like a game with good story and detective work you should check out Murdered Soul Suspect when it goes on sale on any system (its dirt cheap when it's on sale) either way love your playthoughs and have a good 1
Glade you picked up that it's Christmas early lol. Love the Christmas theme soundtrack and snow and such
Arkham Origins is my favorite game in the entire Batman franchise.
Yay, she’s back. Can’t wait to watch this series ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯💯💯 i’m so excited to watch💯💯💯💯💯🙂☺️☺️☺️☺️🙂
This game has an online multiplayer. I remembered playing it with my friends. Idk if they took the servers down, but if not, I recommend playing it. It’s super fun
I hope you have a wonderful playthrough Miranda!! You are making me so excited to pick these games up for the first time! I hope you have a wonderful week ❤️
you will love it!
Just a few days ago I'm also playing this game, it was the only one I didn't finish of the Arkham saga, very good, one of my favorites
Not to mention it has quite a number of ridiculous jumpscares at the perfect moments! 😎
So it makes since why Killer Croc is called a croc, because much like how a croc sheds their skin to grow and change so does Wayland Jones. It's really interesting to me how they adapted the themes of a crocodile to create a Batman villain!
All these Batman games are SO good. Also, cant wait for you to read The Killing Joke if you haven't already ❤ keep up the awesome content
32:23 for some reason they repeated Loeb’s previous line when he’s supposed to say “I’m not on it? After everything I’ve done for you?!?!”
Raimi trilogy Peter hitting Mary Jane and Arkham Bruce being disrespectful to Alfred were my reminders to keep myself in check.
I can’t wait for Miranda to get to THAT boss fight. The one in which the game is over before it even begins.
Technically this game is part of the Arkham series. Some of his events are referenced in Arkham Knight.
The voice you're talking about is none other than Roger Craig Smith. Voiced Ezio in Assassin's Creed 2 through Brotherhood, Crane from Dying Light 1, and Chris Redfield in Resident Evil 5 and 6. Great voice actor that's been kinda laying low in the voice acting industry
no way! that's so cool!
Sonic the Hedgehog as well
Origins is my favourite imo good storyline and even a multiplayer so you had something to do after you finished the storyline
A bit too many glitches but love it how he sent that one dude flying 24:04 😂😂
Ayee! Finally! So so happy to see an upload 😍
Another reason why I loved this game is because it had Commissioner Loeb and a lot of earlier characters from Batman Year 1
18:16 I feel like being an employee would be a conflict of interest for legal guardianship. "If you ground me, you're fired!"
A good graphic novel to read that ties into a later part of this game is the killing joke
*plops down in my bed with popcorn*
This is the series I have been waiting for. 😁
Haha let's goooo!
