Landscape Photography at Church Rock, New Mexico

- In this video, we visit and photograph the magnificent, but frigid landscape at Church Rock, New Mexico. On this long road trip, we had been using the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for the first times in the field and found it too fragile and temperamental to meet my satisfaction. I found myself favoring the much older but easier to use Osmo Action version 1.

Hello dear friends.
That frozen grass and bushes are very nice for a photo with the macro lens.
The area where you are is very beautiful and photogenic.
It was very cold to see Teena, she was well wrapped up.
The graffiti is again man's footprint in nature, I think it's a shame. But on the other hand, people did this in the past and we are pleased when we find that kind of work. So maybe in a few hundred years, there will be researchers who find this once again happy with signs from the past. The photos are very beautiful. The one of Church Rock is beautiful, but my favorite is the one with the small tree in front of the rock wall. Number four.
Thank you very much for sharing this video.
Greetings from the Netherlands,
Antoine.
I like how you see photos in places I missed! The frozen grass is a very nice subject indeed!
Enjoyed this episode! Thank you!!
Great to hear! Thanks for watching and commenting
Nice job Keith and Teena!
Thank you from both of us!
When I saw the location title at the beginning, my hear immediately hear the song! I always loved the sound of hiking in crunchy snow. Thanks for taking us along!!
Thanks Charlie! I was glad that mud was crunchy instead of wet! Had planned to hike up but changed our minds. It was cold and gear wasn’t happy
@@Keithdotson Yeah, loved the little blurb about the camera complaining! LOL! Do you find that thing to be to touchy? The gimbal setup appears kind of delicate.
I’ve tried gimbals for cameras and for phones and they are so finicky that I just store them away. The pocket 3 is just as finicky although it doesn’t require constant calibration like a regular gimbal, but it is delicate and quirky and has some things about it that makes me crazy! This trip was my first real major test and I was very frustrated by it
@@Keithdotson Good to know....
I homed in on that single tree as soon as I see it in the video, you didn't disappoint Sir! Have a good trip you both.
Great minds think alike -- right!? Thanks for watching Rick. More to come from that western trip.
Gallup, New Mexico - an amazing little town...in so many ways !!! I hope you got to see the lobby of the El Rancho Hotel...an unbelievable collection of movie-star photographs.
Darn! I did not!
Great video and photos, Keith! I wasn't familiar with this location so I put it on my ever-growing list of places to visit. Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks Terry! This was us trying to make the most of a stopover on the way to other places but it was beautiful and silent there! Had intended to hike up the mountain but we decided instead to just get some shots and head on to Arizona

I know this place
It's located in a Gallup city park. We had intended to hike up but between the cold, and our gear going on the fritz, we decided to keep it short and move on to another location. But it was lovely and silent there.
