I love that Laura is just talking like herself, and Liam is totally doing Vax's voice at least 50% of the time.
Honestly I think it's both an actor and gamer thing. I'm both and when I play videogames I often talk to myself, but with the character's accent xD
I think she was trying here and there but excitement and figuring out mechanics was getting the best of her

The fact that they were shocked that Vex and Vax's names were already taken was precious,. That was my first thought, "what will they wind up naming them?" lol
I think they could have added apostrophes or spaces and got those names...

I think it's kinda weird that people would make a character that is someone else's dnd character, that's just cringe to me. To each their own.

My favorite games are Hero Forge and D&D Beyond. The storylines are weak, but they have the coolest character creators. :p

I got bored and started trying to figure out what class/race combo in ESO fits each character. Downside is no short races in ESO
Make it a group of three and add Sam to have Samlan join the group. Then pair Talisen and Matt for Dercy De Polo and Filmore

Single player 1st person, online 3rd person.
Single player is for the immersion.
First person when I'm exploring and want to be immersed, third person when I'm in towns and want to see my character talk to other people.

I’m a daily ESO player, and I swear Liam and Travis voice like 50% of this game alone. I stop and nerd out everytime.
Taliesin is everywhere too! And he gets to show off his talented Crow voice anytime there’s a talking crow, which is more common than it sounds.
I didn’t know taliesen voiced crows! Amazing.

same, Thursday is normally the only day I don't play. I'm constantly hearing Liam and Travis.
I love this simply because Liam voiced like half the random NPCs in the game xD when I first started playing, I felt like every other NPC I was like "oh, hey Liam."

I got back into New Vegas recently and Liam is like half the NCR army, it's great.
I wouldn't be opposed to a series consisting of nothing but those two messing around at the character creator in various games.

Every time I'm playing Battlefront 2 and Luke Skywalker shows up, I can't help but go: "Shit, it's Matthew Mercer! Run!"
Running around un Guildwars 2 is quite often an exercise in "which Critical Role person am I talking to now then". So many Matts, Liams and Sams all over the place.

See?? And it WASN'T a bug... They just didn't do what they needed to do (find Naryu on the overhang....) before the door would open... Similar to the "Questgiver not being at the arrow" bug (which wasn't a bug, either...) A majority of the "bugs" at launch were user error....

I once played ESO with a friend and he made a templar and I made a necromancer so we had the healer, and the late-to-the-party healer
Necromancer is so fun. I cannot tell you how much i had to spend on bounties because i accidentally used my abilities in towns

Gideon Emery does a lot of the dunmers. Liam's like half of all bosmer and breton men.

I started playing last July, and still have yet to finish the last two chapters.
I genuinely adore Laura and Liam's dynamic so much, it would be intriguing to see the amount of hours they would spend on say a Blade and Soul character creation or even Black Desert Online lol, loving the part one to this already !

My DM for a side campaign, had all of us play as our ESO mains... it was absolute fun playing as my Human Nercomancer Tank... In the group we also had an Argonian Vampire Cleric (Don’t ask how, but it worked); a Khajiit Werewolf Assassin (yes, kitty turns into a puppy); a Storm Sorcerer (who was also always drunk); and an Orc Dragonknight (who was set up ability wise like a FF Dragoon)...

I watched the first fifteen minutes of this in April 2021, then as soon as they were finished with the character creator I went and bought ESO. It is now January 2022, I am nearly CP 1000 and have played through all of the zone quests up to and including Blackwood, and I have returned to this video steeped in game knowledge and ready to giggle. So worth the time. My husband and I have had so much fun playing the game all of these months. Also greatly enhanced my enjoyment of this video :) Onto the rest of the CR Blackwood content!!! (Also it was cool to see the Morrowind tutorial quest. We got the Greymoor tutorial instead. You get to meet Eoki this early on?? Cool!!!)
40 minutes in, and it's full out Vex and Vax, and Vex even has a pet bear. This is THE BEST
as a long time eso player i love seeing the game from a new player's perspective once more, and it only pains me a LITTLE bit to see them fumbling about not knowing what to do haha :D amazing new series, hoping for/looking forward to more episodes!!
