- We are fly fishing Alberta Canada on the Livingstone River in Alberta, using nymphs, dry flies and emergers to catch and release scrappy Cutthroat trout. We get a cool cloudy day in August which seems to help with insect hatches and fishing.
You guys always do such a good and fish friendly release of anything you catch.
Thanks Lyndon.
What a shame about the proposed coal mines in theese headwaters. You guys should write a letter to the environment minister and link your videos. Poisoned river equals no more cutthroat fishing.
So we can’t fish the livingstone river anymore ??
that is dry fly country.
Yes it is.
unfortunately small fish numbers seemed down last year probably whirling disease.
what is the difference between the cutthroat and the westslope cutthroat?
I am not an expert but I think the West slope is a specific variety of Cutthroat.
What is happening to protect this river from coal mining?
I do not know. Sorry.
And to think they are proposing coal mines in those headwaters....what a fucking waste
