Well I don't know where the clinchfield sub is from you(NS) but it went through Helene and Trump just dumped a boatload of money on it and the A.C.E. even if it's just for the residents it could mean a lot for the railroad(NS). I have never seen a flood pick up railroad track and denude it of it's ties then throw it in the river, It's appalling. 100 ton bridge girders ripped apart and scattered along with their ballast and track, just tossed about like tissue paper. There's a small dam down there on an impoundment called Lake Lure at it's crest the waster was flowing over the top with all gates open 5 feet deep and it held. It was not very wide maybe 75 feet and 30 feet tall but it was strong. If you get a chance click on North Carolina hurricane damage.
