One of the most underrated boxers of the 21st century imo. Usyk is nothing short of a magician in the ring and I feel like it took beating Joshua (it shouldn't have) for him to truly get the accolades he deserved a LONG while back.

That's one way of looking at it. And I don't entirely disagree.
But there's more to it. Name a big name cruiser. There really aren't any right now. Boxing fans tend to love the heavyweights, and the middleweights. But cruiserweight and anything lighter than lightweight don't really get much love. We can argue how wrong that is all we want, but it doesn't matter.
So if there are no big names there to destory, how will fans know of him? "Oh man, he beat Johnny Nobody??? That's amazing!"
But the moment he went to heavyweight, he started getting coverage. He was everywhere before he even challenged Joshua. He was just a victim of a low popularity weight class.

@@mr.doctorcaptain1124 100%. Cruiserweight has never been high up on people's list of the golden divisions. Another fighter that people should definitely pay more attention to is Mairis Briedis. 3 time cruiserweight champ out of Latvia and arguably the guy who's given Usyk the toughest fight of his career back in early 2018. Really underheralded boxer.

Usyk is the Andre Ward of this generation. To the casual, usyk is nothing special or a big name to watch. To those who know boxing, know that usyk is a freaking monster and a half. Demolished a division with ease and moved up to challenge himself. Usyk is a master that doesn't get the love he should.

Andre Ward was a coward and cock shotter.
      He ducked Bivol and Beterbieve.
Retired in his prime. And is a biased TRASH ring announcer. Just go look at him during Wilder/Fury 3 the dude looked sick when fury starched wilder.

Looking at his agility, elegance and speed of movement, I understand why he is nicknamed „The Cat”. He is so fast and dexterous both on his feet and in with his fists and manages to squeeze punches through blocks and lands them with speed and precision. I remember when everyone said that he may be fast but being too small will mean he will loose to bigger heavier opponents with a longer reach. his agility, speed and determination create a constant barrage of shots that overwhelm and disorientate his opponents to the point they have little to no control over the mach. Its like they are competing in different fighting styles.
