Hi Lisa! There’s a ton of amazing Vietnamese-Cajun fusion but you have to go a bit out of the French quarter to find it. Enjoy Nola!!
To anyone who goes to the Old Absinthe House: don't let the bartenders talk you into letting them set your absinthe on fire. This effectively ruins your very expensive drink.
Only if u are young and very drunk it’s the only good thing but I don’t like the liquorice taste either

Truly appreciate your style of shooting. Even though you can easily show off your looks like dozens of other content creators, you keep it strictly about the food, place and people. Sometimes, we get a quick glance or two of you but I swear, I get tired of seeing people incorporate themselves in unnecessary ways. Keep it up!
One of my goals in 2023 is to do a solo trip. For me, as a woman it feels really intimidating but seeing videos like this put me at ease. Loved all the food & great video Lisa 😍

I absolutely love solo trips, but situational awareness is key! It was intimidating at first but definitely gets easier

If you mean to New Orleans, absolutely do not go alone, each year it has more stupid people who can't understand consequences and so much violence. i live in Louisiana and have only been to NO once and that's fine with me bc they got some weird ass people
As a native New Orleanian you are one of the only youtubers to did New Orleans the right way! I worked in the French Quarter for many years and you went to the "right" places. I would've also went to a few other French Quater staples but great job! 👍🏾 👏🏾 #LoveFromNewOrleans ❤️⚜️

I am so happy you came and visited our City. We can always tell when someone is not from here by how they pronounce words unique to the City...because we pronounce "New Orleans" differently as well. 😂
True. And I rarely hear anyone say "moo-fuh-LEH-tuh". Most people say "muh-fuh-LAH-tuh".

Ever since watching Princess and The Frog a thing on my bucket list has been to go to New Orleans and get a Beignets
Not that you never have packed a lot of good eating into one day, but this almost seems like the most I’ve watched you eat or get food in a video in quite some time… New Orleans is still on my bucket list of places I’ve never been to, but need to get to before I ever leave this mortal coil

egg, sugar, milk, mix it and then put it in a pan and turn on the stove and mix it until it's solid, put it in a bread and put strawberries and chocolate on it and yumm!!!

Port of Call is also a really great burger place. It’s a hole in the wall but I think it’s amazing.

Well that’s how it’s pronounced there I guess 😂 I’ve definitely heard “pray-lean” in the northeast.

INGREDIENTS
UNITS: US
1 1⁄2cups powdered sugar
8ounces cream cheese
16ounces Cool Whip, card says Large size tub
1cup peanut butter
2graham cracker crust
DIRECTIONS
mix together sugar, peanut butter and cream cheese in a bowl.
Fold in the Cool Whip.
Pour into crusts and chill.
Yummyy

That muffaletta is so tiny, Central might have started it but they are by no means the best muffaletta, there are muffalettas out there with four times that amount of meat and olive spread, I'm from the West Bank of New Orleans... Also you went to all the touristy places and none of the actual good ones

@@roseanna1652 depends on where you're going, and how far you want to travel coming to Orleans is a fairly large place but in terms of driving you can get anywhere you want in like 20 or 30 minutes tops, if you're going to be in Nola proper there's a different place to recommend than if you're on the outskirts
@@roseanna1652 if you're close to the West Bank, in Terrytown there's a place called dimartino's on carol sue ave, in Nola there's parran's poboy, not sure the address (I don't live in New Orleans anymore so it's been a while) or Nola poboys, you can google any of them for directions, also ask a local about where they eat, they'll know all the best in the general area where you are
@@emilymulcahy We’ll be in the French quarter but don’t mind traveling out to see/try things! We just like to stay in central/busy areas for things to do directly outside of the hotel 😊
