What is it about this man that is so compelling?? I have not been moved by anyone’s death in years as I have been by David Crosby’s. I feel lost, devastated just as I would if a family member had passed. But I did not know David except through his music, so perhaps I did know him after all, for music was his heart. I wish all of us fans of David Crosby could gather together and have a memorial for him. I am not ready to let him go, but thankfully I don’t have to because I can listen to him anytime I wish or need to.
Crosby’s voice is pure gold. It’s effortless and so controlled at the same time. You never fear he’s going to hit a bad note even live. These songs wouldn’t be the same without Nash’s harmony on top.
🥀Beautiful song no doubt, vocals are strong but soothing I love all of his song's my thoughts and Prayers go out to his family and friends 🥀 R.I.P David Crsosby We Love You 🥀🕊🥀
Crosby was at his vocal peak for many years. And when he was at his peak, I think his voice was the purest that I heard. He could certainly write some memorable songs. He and Nash were vocal heaven.
Graham Nash had his chance more than once to forgive David Crosby. David apologized in public and in private. He begged for forgiveness more than once. But Mr. Nash refused ! For all his good works, and all the great things he brags about that he's done in his life, Graham Nash from now on will be remembered as the man that "refused to forgive a dying friend" !
If you read about David, listen to what he said, read his autobiography Long Time Gone and other info about him, he was a great artist but at times a terrible person.
The collective planetary tears of those who loved David will send him far beyond the lee shore - 3 months later, & mine still flow like a newborn on the tides of his mythic voice. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
I love this video and have watched it so many times. One thing I noticed is it doesn't look like Nash is playing the guitar. His left had never moves and his fingers are laying flat on the strings. Now I am not a guitar player but this looks strange. Maybe they are singing over a pre-recorded guitar(s) track? Anyway, it doesn't matter really. Nothing can take away from their harmonies and this really strong performance by Crosby. Sometimes it is easy to forget how great a singer he truly was.
NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. CROSBY DID NEARLY KILL HIMSELF WITH DRUGS, GET ARRESTED WITH GUNS, AND WAS SELF-DESTRUCTIVE--SAID HURTFUL THINGS. NASH DIDN'T HAVE "ANIMOSITY." HE REMEMBERED BEING HURT, OVER AND OVER, AND OVER.....THE "DEATH OF CS& NASH & YOUNG." LOTS OF DAMAGE FOR NOTHING.
Times past can stay with us by means of art.
Serenity, beauty, and peace.............
Breaks my heart. RIP Croz. You are missed.

One of the best performances on the BBC at that time. David Crosby and Graham Nash could sing so great together. Thank you for posting it.
So beautiful to see David and Graham performing together. Gorgeous!
Crosby and Nash harmonized like no other. Together, their vocals flowed effortlessly. Beautiful song.
RIP Croz

His vibrato is so natural. One of the better versions of this song I’ve heard.

such sweet, subtle harmonies....thanks Croz....it's good to be lifted up on wings of song one more time....

This is a bit of a stretch. David was a challenging person to know. Amazing musician though. Huge loss.
WRONG. STAY CURRENT WITH HISTORY.
What voices!
Astonishing

...I've been practicing...., hope I get to do it before....
What year was this recorded?
1969 ……. Beautiful song I can remember singing along with the record !!!!! 🥲
@@cindipossidento5688 YES....STILL DO
Why did Graham Nash harbor such animosity toward David Crosby? Does anybody know the story there?
David said something bad about Neil Young’s girlfriend!

@@MsJoybird1 That was a teeny part of a huge issue.
All in all, something that should have been resolved before it was too late!
Crosby’s stoned eyes….
Peak hair. Peak holier than thou. Hippies were very self obsessed.
SPELLING ERRORS.
WHAT "HIPPIES?" made up news word.
Of whom do you speak?"---hippies?"
