I know the comment I am replying to is is 10 years old, but leaving this here for future listeners. I see this comment as well as the video poster describing this as "Hard Bop". My limited understanding is that "Hard Bop" is a pretty unintuitive label, and in fact "Hard Bop" was a reaction against how aggressive bebop was too intellectual and 'un-danceable' and alienated too much of an audience that just wanted to have fun and dance. In 21st century terms, we associate the word 'hard' with 'hardcore' or 'difficult', which this song would absolutely fit with, but, in its own time, the term was referring more to the feeling of the groove: Slower and more robust. Something more "hard" for you grab on to.
I don't know what else you would call this though. Modal Bebop? Up-tempo Modal Post-Bop?
Discogs seems to agree and has this one labeled as "Post Bop". For those wondering, how can something that goes so hard and so fast with such a busy melodic theme be "Post" bop, the key to the answer is actually the intervals in that theme and the chord movement in the piano. The tempo is blistering and that head is busy, but all of the chordal lessons of early and mid 60s moving light years beyond the blues have been internalized and are on full display. They are ripping here, but it is late 60s modal jazz doing a bebop-paced workout more than actual bebop.
