Thank you so very much for all the instructions, information, ideas and the fun time visits on you utube channel. I am restarting cross stitching after years (lots of Years) of my previous attempts. The world of cross stitch has changed so very much since the round wooden hoops that I use to use.
It has been hard being a senior citizen enduring the pandemic. As many can attest to depression is always knocking on the door. Your videos have inspired me to begin anew that which I had forgotten about. You are so very upbeat I look forward to each time that I can watch another of your videos. I am back to your Autumn Floss Tube video of a couple of years ago. Love the autumn wreath that you have made on this video also loved the picture of heels on your wall. I did find video so can see if I can find the pattern and stitch that up (heels, that is). I have far too many ideas and wants. I have started my first full coverage (again thank you for instruction videos) I have never done one. I did take you suggestion and am just beginning "a walk in the park" HAED.
I have written an essay so had better close before it becomes a book. Thank You Again!! Love Lori

I really appreciated what you had to say about on line businesses that aren’t following through on orders. Last year I started the Victorian Motto floss of the month. The first two months were fine but then the shortages started because of the pandemic. They sent out an email saying they would fill the orders as quickly as they could depending on the availability of the floss. They continued sending a monthly invoice through PayPal which I paid. After five months I quit paying. Other floss tubers received their orders but I never did. I contacted them by email several times but never received a response. I made a dispute through PayPal but they would only go back a certain amount of days so I received my money back for two months. I’ve called them and left messages and wrote letters but have never received a response. They’re still in business but how do they sleep at night knowing they basically stole money from me and others. Stories like your s and mine put a black mark on the on line cross stitch community.

Those bobbins remind me of the old spoolies hair curlers. Also they remind me of the bobbins used in knitting when knitting a lot of colorwork

I am sooo glad you had the rant about the fabric supplier, I've had this exact experience with this supplier, with a matching email. In the end I had to get a refund because, despite me trying to be as patient as possible and having lots of sympathy for her situation, I still hadn't received it after 6 months. She made lots of promises but sent nothing. I will never order from this company again. It's actually put me off ordering from any other hand dyed fabric company in the future.
I love watching your flosstubes and really look forward to them. Andromeda looks amazing.

Getting to this video late - love your stitching! Thanks for highlighting the fabric supplier issue - my order is now two years old so this is a long-standing problem for whatever reason. Totally agree - the lack of communication to current customers who have paid is not acceptable whatever the issues.

I’m so happy you touched on the fabric issue in the UK. I placed an order in September 2019, have been promised that it will be sent three separate times and still don’t have it 🥲. It’s not the end of the world, but has made me so nervous about ordering from others!

Hi Teresa, yep 100% with you on the 46ct 😂 I just wouldn’t have been brave enough to try it! Thanks for the info about the hand-dyed fabric, I know which company you’re talking about and I’ll avoid in future. I don’t have the budget to take the chance. I only ever hear good things about xju Designs so will have to give them a try. Interested to see how you get on with your HATS sampler, I would have interpreted it the same way you did I think. Good luck with the retreat sign-up, I’m sure it will sell out fast 😄 Great video 👍🏻 x

I think the only way to stitch on 46 ct for these 50 year old eyes would be mag eyes + magnifying light floor lamp. Oh my I am super excited to hear all about the Chatelaine retreat. Yeah.... This fabric problem was a problem last year. I noticed she was having problems to deliver the I FoM and she didn't send the costume order I made as well, so I stopped my FoM a year ago and kept messaging her for months on email and her FB group. I waited at least 10 months before I finally got my order. I found it concerning that she has problem getting fabric to dye because of covid, but so does all the other dyers and still they produces the fabric to their costumers. I was questioning why she didn't stop the orders a year ago and just kept letting people placing orders.. I won't be shopping there for a long time.
    Thanks for the rant!
I would love to stitch one of Hands Across the Sea sampler's little gems on the tin roof 46ct fabric. I'm stitching Ann Morison on 46ct and it is beautiful! 😍

I figured it would be less bother to order them from her than to make them myself (and in Canada the shipping was free.. double bonus).

I had a very similar issue ordering fabric last October. After 3-4 months waiting and several emails, they told me it was sent. I never received it. After even more weeks waiting and more emails, she said it must have “slipped in the cracks” and I was offered a refund, that I took, because I was not going to wait another 5 months for fabric. I bought my fabric somewhere else and I got it in less than 2 weeks. I will never order from them again, even if the supply issues get resolved

Thanks for another fab video, Teresa!
Having read through the comments, I’d love to know who this supplier is so I don’t make the mistake of ordering from them once the backlog is “cleared” - if it ever is. I totally understand why no-one is mentioning any names though!
One day, once I’ve worked through all my WIPS and made a dent in my kit stash, I have in mind to start a chatelaine myself - mine would have to be “Poison Garden” though - having visited Alnwick and seen the garden, it has a bit of meaning (and is not just cos we’re dark and spooky in this house 🤣). Enjoy that retreat!

That tin roof fabric is a gorgeous color! I've stitched on 20 count aida no problem so I think I would be able to use it!

Love your Mirabilia, she’s beautiful. Love your new starts. I would just love to go to a needlework shop here but there are none close by. I’d like to see the fabric choices. Keep up the great videos and continued prayers for a speedy recovery. ❤️❤️❤️

Such a great video thank you so much for sharing. I've been meaning to ask you throughout your videos.. what are the holders on your canvas for the thread called.. they're sort of plastic looking.. were they purchased from Amazon? Ty.. wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year. Kaitlyn from Calgary, Alberta Canada

I cracked up when you tried to see the holes in the 46 count. There is absolutely no way that I could stitch on that high of count. I'm lucky to be able to stitch on 28 count but I usually take the cowards way out and use 18 count aida. 😂

I've been curious about those crazy high counts! I love higher counts, 5x on the mag eyes I have may be able to see 46 count, I haven't seen any that high at my LNS but would sure love to see the tin roof for myself 💜 from 🇨🇦
