Getting lost on the Back40 | Finding Blowing Springs Loop with Boom Diggity | Bentonville, AR

- Day 1 of a 4 day drip in Bentonville and I start with the Back40 as it had been wet prior to this and the Back40 is a good wet weather route. On the way I accidentally turn off the Back40 and find the Blowing Springs Loop along with Boom Diggerty. I really enjoyed this route. It's rated as a blue (intermediate) but TrailForks users rate it Black (advanced) for the technicality. I'd put it in-between. Most of the trail is blue with a few elevated sections that put in into black. Most intermediate riders should not have fear to tackle this though.

oh man, ride that first part (BS Loop South) the other direction! So much more fun! Glad you got to ride the tech of Bella Vista!!
Next time I'm there. I'll definitely be back!
Apologies to Bella Vista/Bentonville for continually calling this trail Bowling Springs and not Blowing Springs. Also, it should be Boom Diggity. I will link to the Back40 video when it posts up! That one is still in edit...
Just watched your video of The Back 40 -- curious what app you were using that displayed your stats & route?
I use an obsolete and unsupported app called Garmin VIRB Edit. The actual data comes from a Garmin Edge computer .fit file. My workflow is not standard though and I use a customized template to generate a keyable green screen version for Final Cut Pro.
What are you using to overlay the ride data?
I use VIRBEdit from Garmin bit it is fairly obsolete now and not supported by Garmin anymore. I only use it to generate the overlay on a green screen which I then add to my main edit in Final Cut Pro.
FWIW, the trail name is "Bomb Diggity"
Thanks. I'll fix it in the title. EDIT: I just checked the video and the sign in the video says Boom Diggity. So Trailforks is wrong on "Bomb" and I'm wrong on "Diggity".
@@Roaming50 It's one of my fav's as well. We have a loop that we ride regularly from Blowing Springs that we like to call the "Happy Hour Loop". You go out of the east end of the park to the Back 40 loop and proceed CCW until you get to it's intersection with "Mulligan". Turn left onto Mulligan and after you pass the golf course, turn left onto "Rago". Rago takes you all the way back to the Back 40 loop, where you turn right to go back to Blowing Springs. After doing that loop, if I'm feeling good, I'll run down Bomb Diggity from east to west and end up near the parking lot.
@@brooksbooher2585 Nice! I see a need for another trip once I get my new bike that will allow me to ride further and explore more. I would like to check that out.
