To me, Georgian music is at once unique and like the 13th-century European polyphony with which I'm familiar.
It was curious, I heard an Easter song and thought "I'm not sure what kinds of thirds these sre, but they resolve nicely to fifths in the csdences, and so I feel at home."

Music is very moving. I watched your Notre Dame video, and then a couple of the videos which followed automatically. Including this talk I am leaving this comment on,; and, the wonderful Lashari video. . .interesting that some of this Georgian music has a little similarity with the Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum's, music which I also have loved - heard a description once that her music is like a plane taking off, soaring . . . . I hear the same quality here.

Hi John, would it be possible to interview you for our channel (distance interview either by sending you questions in written form and you'd record us a clip or via skype splitscreen). My German partner and I make Videos about the Georgian Language and Culture and we think you'd be wonderful to interview. We'd link your channel and any other channels you have of course. Let us know what you think!
