To whoever kept asking on the past videos about how the statue threw the car, well, now you have your answer.
I'm just glad the writers were at least aware of how improbable the opening was and adressed it in some way or another... kinda was glaringly obvious.

Phoenix's response is telling me that that scene just opened up the possibility of Layton and Chelmey being shipped together, and Phoenix was trying to avoid it from happening.
I would call that a crazy possibility, but honestly anything is possible in these special episodes. I mean, they've already broken the fourth wall so much that they aren't even breaking it anymore at this point. They already obliterated it into oblivion in the previous episode! So why not be self-aware of shipping?
So let me get this straight, no one in all London was able to put down that car in a WHOLE year, since this chapter takes place 1 year after the game ending.
And that electric power still working a year later... which usually shut off halfway to now. Accidenti must had a bestest batteries installed.

I have to believe Labelum are the main supplier of something big as Caduceus to have the money to buy a park in London and the permission to put in robotic statues that can move and crash cars.
And by Labrelum's slogan, I'm gonna call they were the main supplier of Layton's game mechanics too.
Ha ha I don't remember us Londoners being much of a daredevil the last time I checked xD. Though that would be fun to see ppl dressed up as Layton down the Tower Bridge area ^_^

There's no longer a fourth wall to break after all of that.
The time where they refer to the car as a "Game-set-up" piece thing, and where they say that, people have been cosplaying/dressing up as the main characters in that park, is this happening in real life? Or is it just for, whatever reason?

I love when a game has a fantastic story, much like this one, but I also love when the 4th wall is being constantly broken (again, this game).

i may not be Slyzer, but if one did exist, i would know about, since i've been keeping an eye on www.court-records.net/ .and they're talking about the Ace Attorney 123: Wright Selection that was just released in Japan, right now.

Akise Aru yes, in The court records words, i will tell ya about it: A heads up to any of our Japanese 3DS-carrying members: the Wright Selection is now available on the Japanese eShop for 3,694 yen (~$36) plus tax and will be available physically in stores in the morning for 3,990 yen (plus tax)!
As a reminder, the game includes both English and Japanese text, though unfortunately no Western release has been announced.

+David Guthary Serious? In theater, rooms have three walls. The fourth wall is implied to be the one between the the performers and the audience, between fiction and reality. The characters normally do not acknowledge the audience's presence. A character "breaking the fourth wall" is one that is directly addressing the audience.
