Man it's crazy how many benefits fall off once you lose Trainer Card access, it's weird how much of our taxes go to that. I guess it's good for growth though, going on an adventure that way can really give kids some perspective, but I do wish the state had a weaning-off period where the benefits went away as your income increased, instead of dropping it all once you turn 18...
