You're not in war with Magnus Mr. DunningKruger. You're at war with your perception vs reality. The names that people talk about as the next world champions are guys like Nodirbek, Gukesh, Pragg, and the next generation Yagiz, Movahed, Oro. People aren't talking about you, and that's entirely your fault. Scoring a title tuesday win against Magnus or Hikaru, or beating your chest in false bravado during banter blitz games doesn't make you a world champion, more a cynosure of buttbead humor and ridicule feeding internet trolls and reddiots. Go win the US championship or a major tournament and let the chess do the talking.
Magnus is one of if not the best player to have lived. Respect that you took the gracious and humble approach to say you need to learn more. It was an amazing game, and worth adding you fought on instead of creating a draw. 👏👏👏👏
Real. At 4:42 I was wondering where it all went wrong because Hans was playing good chess from what I could tell until that point. And the QC8 move by Carlsen was so proactive that it looked really weird when he played it.
@@nictamer8754 Same way Magnus resigned a game against Hans in the first tournament they had after the cheating allegations in the Sinquefield cup. Why would he want to play a cheater? Also, Magnus resigned that game and still won the tournament like he does 99% of the time, lol.

You will not beat Magnus with the mindset of 'draw isn't an option'. Magnus sometimes doesn't play the position alone. If he knows the player, he will play the 'player'. I think everyone knows the story and Hikaru and Magnus spending hours in a hotel room playing over 50 games, right? After that, Hikaru V Magnus was never the same match. If he knows that you will not agree to a draw, he will, and he will use that against you and make you make a mistake. That's what lead to the loss here. That is what I believe you stand to learn from this game. I know that you have history with Magnus and victory will surely come. But one win doesn't prove anything. If you really want to win the war, you need to defeat him consistently. To do that, you have to first stop losing consistently. And to do that, you have to learn to accept the draw when it's presented. That's just my two cents tho, I admire your resolve and the work you've put into growing this channel. Godspeed Smokey!
It's always a positive sign when a gm plays the 5 time world champion to win every opportunity he gets. Most of the gm's are scared shitless and want to just make a draw or resign early... And ppl make fun when hans looses

Black's position was remarkably resilient and after ...Nb4 and ...c5, it sprang forward very dynamically. Maybe Nxd4 rather than cxd4 would have helped. Knowing when to go for a space advantage or to fight directly with the pieces is important, and Hans does that fairly well. Could be just that this particular game wasn't his to win. But can we say Magnus was winning when he had to retreat ...Nb8, ...Qc8 because of pawn a6? I don't think so.
I think you’re still intimidated and I want to recommend playing without knowing who you’re playing against in the Next Title Tuesday! It would also be very entertaining! Just a thought but it might be truly chess speaking for itself without being wrapped up in the psychological double layer.
