A seamstress would hem the first dress by pulling it up from that seam below your hips. It would be a more expensive alteration cause the pleats would have to be redone, but certainly not impossible and probably worth it on such an affordable item if it was your main dress. The second one is my favorite. It gives me Kate Hudson vibes.

I knew there was a way to shorten a dress like that but have wondered whether on a less expensive dress that kind of alteration would be worth it. If the day ever comes I will have to figure out how to balance alteration cost with original dress cost. .
@@joyfuljaj One of the things that makes any outfit look expensive is the fit, so you’ll be surprised at how much alterations can effect the appearance. If the fabric is decent and you didn’t pay much for it, putting a few hundred dollars into alterations can be worth it, but like you said you have to weigh your options and judge the situation individually.
I just ordered 4 dresses to try from lulus, and im really grateful that you made this video. It was very reassuring to hear positive reviews on the brand, as I've already gone through (and hated) many dresses from other brands. The wedding is extremely low budget, and I've found it really discouraging that I haven't found a dress that I love, that also meets the budget. Hopefully for this delivery!

Hem on the first dress, they will take it up from the skirt seam so the design stay as it should be. The second one is exactly like my Senior Ball dress I made, but it was a maroon velvet. Yes functionality is really important in a dress, especially if you are going to be wearing it all day.

What's the return policy?
They’re pretty great with returns! As long as tags are attached and the items are in store-bought condition, I haven’t had a problem with returning. The website has the exact days that they allow for returns, so I would check that out!
