Leghorn Chickens - Why You Should Have Them.

The Leghorn is a breed of chicken originating in Tuscany, in central Italy. It was originally raised for the table and is now one of the most popular breeds in the world.
The Leghorn is an active bird that loves to fly about, pecking for food and insects on the ground. They are great foragers and love to go outdoors to roam around.
Leghorns are very loyal birds and will follow you around if you let them. They can also be quite loud when they want something from you!
The breed was developed by crossbreeding stock from Italy with other local breeds to create a bird that would thrive in the hot Mediterranean climate.
It comes in three colour varieties: white, red and black. The black variety is rare and has no commercial value because it cannot be efficiently bred for meat production.
they are among the best layers and you can expect them to begin laying when they are around 5 months of age. Most of the white-shell eggs you see at the supermarket were laid by Leghorn hens.

i have two leghorns chickens theyre rlly cute but the only thing im scared about is people who will complain about them crowing in the morning because theyre in an urban area with me😭

@@kathiex780same I have chickens two my neighbors don’t complain about em one of my chickens flew to the top of the fence and they didn’t mind that they thought it was funny but if your rooster crows in the night I would feel bad
