I use a Mac and the setting s file is invisible on teh sd card you need to turn on the see all invisibles fucntion then use it, not sure about PC though, that is 1080hd but ithe settings make it look lower res i've tried tweaking t but thats the best i got, so its not really a 1080hd cam

Barry Sumpter I've the same problem, in my case I created the .txt file from scratch becase in the micro SD card there was nothing but three folders (VIDEOS, PICTURES, EVENTS). No matter the way I plugged the camera nor the card there were no changes in the camera settings. Does anybody have the same problem and knows how to fix it?
The txt file is invisible thats why its probably still reading the invisible file and nt the one copied on the sd card, you must view all invisibles to see it

I have created the file and placed it in the root. I have made it hidden and read only. I have tried it with 2gb/8gb and 32gb tf cards. No such luck. I have tried both firmware updates and it does nothing with either. My date always shows 2080. The manual isnt a manual and help from the net has not worked. Do not buy this camera. Although it records well it doesnt do what it says on the tin. Someone must know how to get this working. Please dont say "show hidden files and folders". I can see a hidden folder called DATA and it has a file in it called BASE.bat but thats empty and if you copy the text from sportdv into it, it just wipes it.
I tried everything, but I am unable to change date. It always shows date with year 2158. It does not creating SportDV.txt file. There is only two folders Data ( base.dat file inlcuded) and DCIM folder.

I see F9 mini mostly is a 5MP cam, is the one from this seller really a 12MP one with better picture?
