Happy New Year Katharine. Thanks for your enthusiasm and spark.
Here are two motivational quotes from the Harry Potter books which drive me, maybe you'll like them:

    and
"It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." - Dumbledore

Wow, you must have read my mind. You modern psychology is amazing, especially in how you put it into practice. You know a lot for a young woman.
Great advice for those who are practicing their English. It is funny that you mentioned January as a good start to practice the positive things in life. Believe it or not, I started in what you advised not this January but last January. I started writing my first novel, which is a realistic romance novel, and completed the draft in nine months. The following three months was self-editing and now it is in the publisher’s hand. Talk about goals, you really ‘hit it on the nail’. Good for your young learners.
Anyway, looking forward to your 2024 videos.

Kat, happy new year!!!! January is a good month, because every passing by day approach you to the warm season! Positivity and optimism must be the light to follow to make our life a great life! Kat you are THE positivity, you are THE optimism and you are THE beauty in person! I wanna warn you...your smile is contagious! I just cut out on alchool and fortunately, being a sporty man, this should help me living a healthier life. My resolutions for 2024 are easy...being a kind and generous person, always with a smile painted on my face and ready to help people if they're going through hard times. I hope to improve my english skills and get to know you better. Last but not least is to visit London, because I've never been there in my life...I feel ashamed of it! You're a number one, Kat, never forget it! Lots of kisses from Rome!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

and thank you for pouring us some positivity !
I definitely recommend you Yoga , for
staying calm and take it easy when things
take a different turn as scheduled .
I usually follow your videos on my laptop ,
but as I travel a lot by train, and as a dissipated traveller,
looking for elegant, gentleman-like and comfortable ways to travel ,
I recently figured out how to follow your videos on the train on my smartphone ,
so a good intention / resolution in 2024 will be - English with Kat " On the go " .

My wife and I have the goal to up our English level to speak more fluently with our two daughters in law. Aldo we like traveling. In my case, my main issue is in listening and understanding in accurate mode, more than speaking.
Our deadline is in August, although it is difficult to measure the improvement. We contract some sets of 10 lessons’ hours every two or three months with an English teacher from Liverpool. We combine it with your videos and other ones.
I have an inclination to procrastination. I will try your system to fight against it, just in few minuts.
    Thanks for your videos.

Refined sugar is completely different to the sugars found in fruit, as this is an organic bio-available sugar and not only isn't it harmful at all, but even very healthy, since it's whole!! I mean..without looking too much pushy...I mean..I know I could use routine phrases or something like that but sometimes my daughter is tired and she gets upset if I insist on speaking in English. As for me, I took again the same resolution as the last ten past years: stop smoking ... 😂
Joke aside, I don't take any resolution anymore...
However there are two I was successful with in the past. One was to improve my English and become advanced if not fluent. I immersed myself into the language since a few years and practise my English every single day since then.
The other I took up around 6 years ago was to become a veggie and I achieved to get there successfully. This is probably the greatest and most satisfying thing I've achieved, thus resolving a paradox and a contradiction which, while I admire the miracle of Life and love animals very much, has always affected me more from an ethical point of view than from a health point of view by the way. I don't miss meat anymore at all and today I've learnt to appreciate the delights without death or suffering and I have never felt better physically or mentally even if the fact of knowing that we genocide 100 to 150 billions (!!!) of animal each year (Yes, you read well, this is not a typo!) prevents me from being fully happy. You have to know that we have killed more than 60% of all the wild animal populations (all zoologic taxons confounded) in the word over the last 40 years. Today more than 90% of the total mammal biomass on earth is constituted of Livestock ! Man represents a very tiny percentage of the terrestrial biomass, but is responsible of more than 80% of the deaths/dead ... All we talk about is global warming, which is indeed a crucial issue, but in my opinion it obscures 2 other issues that are just as major, if not more so: the decline in life on earth, the increasing scarcity of wildlife habitats, and the many forms of pollution. Many points of no return have already been crossed (notably for the climate, but not only...) and according to the UN, we are now under threat of a direct existential crisis.
Therefore my resolution is now steady. Make effort for environnement and sustainable life on earth. I will pursue my almost 'zero buying' politics regading food notably that I achieve to get by many ways and that you wouldn't believe and I eat better than I ever ate. the thing is that, and especially in our western countries (but not only), we waste around 20% of all the food that is produced in the world. Yes you read well, this is just unfathomable ! This represents, hang yourself well, 40-tonne lorries end to end, circumnavigating the earth 6 times !!!! And this PER YEAR (!!!)... I was struck down and just horrified when I found out that inimaginable fact. A child still dies of thirst or hunger each 6 seconds in the world today in the 21st century ! ...
You just wouldn't believe what I find, along with some vegan friends, in the skips outside a local food rescue centre near here! Perfectly healthy food products discarded on the best-before date, or even a few days before the best-before date, and covering all types of food (plant/vegetables and animal products from starter to dessert through all the possible and imaginable extras (biscuits, chocolates, yogurts of all kinds, and basically all that you can find at a shopping center and even beer can sometimes! would you believe it? ...It just goes on and on and I spare you the doozies) Unimaginable! It is a bit constaining and burdensome, you have to move twice a week and have discipline and hygiene to select the products rigorously, clean these products perfectly good and healthy but still were deposited in bins and even if they are generally clean (packaging). I won't tell you my food budget over the last year, you just wouldn't believe it. I mainly bought coffee, sugar and vegetable oil which I find only occasionnaly. I find way more than i need and so I give and share a lot.
In addition, I cook with pyrolysis stoves and ovens that I have devised and made, perfectly ecological, which cost absolutely nothing except harvesting small wood and which allowed me to substantially reduce my energy bill.
Sobriety too regarding my personnal ecological impact and my carbon footprint, no more car but walk, bike, train or public transports. I maintain, I keep, recover and repair to the maximum and I buy things only when this is a necessity I can't avoid. I am impeeasible to harmful and deadly advertising and am not the type to replace a mobile phone, a laptop or a computer every two or three years under the pretext of the release of a new gadget perfectly useless...
In short, I listen to Aurélien Barrau (!), Jean-Marc Jancovici or Arthur keller and I am very concerned and more and more since a few years on the ecological plan having realized the absolute necessity of an ontological and axiological change that must occur urgently and imperatively in our societies and in the whole world. The solution won't be technological for had we a clean way of producing energy (I think of the fusion for ex.), this wouldn't prevent us to destroy the environment and the forests and life... with 'clean energy' ... The solution can only be AXIOLOGICAL meaning relative to our system of values !! I think that ecology should even transcend all politics because it is the sine qua non of our long-term survival even if I think we are going anyway, and given human nature, right into the wall and towards catastrophe. Man has not only dominated and mastered his environment, today they destroy it exponentially. And in fact and fundamentally, this enterprise of destruction had long begun and has always been since the diaspora of homo erectus gone to the conquest of the world. Things are dramatically amplified only from the industrial revolution (~1850) and the era of machines and fossil fuels (we thought were illimited...) that 'liberated' us and led to this world of over... of hyperconsumption with its corollary of accelerated destruction of the world. Man thinks he is a demiurge by believing he is above the environment and the living ... this is also one of the reasons why, I do not really like these terms of 'environment' or 'ecology' notably that in some way mark a kind of detachment, of an illusory and fictitious separation between humans and the rest of nature and the Living. They simply forget that without this nature and commensalism and harmony with it, they are just nothing. We produce an astronomical amount of waste and, bringing Mother Nature’s potential to one year, we have already consumed as early as the month of June or May all that Nature is capable of re-generating in one year and this border is reduced every year and is obviously not viable in the very long term yet ... The solution goes necessarily throughout a individal awareness and an (economical) decrease and a voluntary sobriety. That goes against politicians who can only advocate a deadly and eternal and infinite growth in a world of resources which they, are well and truly finite. They are not in the same temporality as the ecological measures that must be considered over a longer time than the derisory time of their mandate, their success, their wealth and their re-election... which are for the great majority of them their sole preoccupation. And this is obviously extremely problematic ... Another growth is possible and must occur and shall becometh: That of knowledge, that of love, that of sobriety, that of retrieved commensalism with Nature, that of a return to the more local production, that of sharing ...
Apart from that, wonderful lesson that I enjoyed a lot, Katherine, and so interesting on the language level as always.
Thank you so much ! Hugs and bisous to you 🌹❤❤😘
Fab, your number one fan and lover.

❤. My friend I fully agree on those things you are describing.. BUT.. you may do something more: to persuade as many as you can in the social cycle you live. . And broading the cycle.. you eventually get to succeed the really good target you are aiming. Knowing that you are not alone continue the efforts..
      Greetings and respect from Greece!.
As far as the wonderful teacher Katerina concerns, she is contributing your efforts by opening the ways of communication with so many people you cannot imagine. SHE deserves a big " THANK YOU"..

Thank you so much tanassismakris and for your encouragement!
yes I do agree, we must try to persuade as many people as possible that a change of paradigm is urgent and necessary. I advise you to follow Aurélien Barrau (!) whose very important conferences I try to share to the maximum. What he says currently with such an incredible force and eloquence is quintessential and the discourse everybody in the world should really listen to !
For Katherine, yes I'm with you on this 🙂
Thank you again for you kind message. I appreciate that so much, merci ! ;-)

I love January: it’s like a Fresh Start! 🚀First, it resonates with my love for change, and second, it’s the month I was born! 🎂 January - a month of new beginnings and fresh opportunities. 🎉✨
Did you know that our emotions during change follow a pattern? It’s called the Emotional Cycle of Change, and understanding it can make a world of difference.
1️⃣ Excitement: January kicks off with excitement, the thrill of a new beginning. Embrace this positive energy!
2️⃣ Denial: As reality sets in, there might be a phase of denial. It’s okay; change takes time to sink in.
3️⃣ Frustration: Challenges arise, and frustration may follow. Stay resilient - this is a natural part of the process.
4️⃣ Depression: A dip in motivation might happen. Don’t be too hard on yourself; it’s temporary.
5️⃣ Experiment: Trying new things leads to the experimentation phase. Keep exploring; innovation often comes from this phase.
6️⃣ Decision: A turning point! Decision-making becomes clearer, and commitment strengthens.
7️⃣ Integration: Finally, the changes become integrated into your routine, leading to a more stable and positive state.
