In this video i have made a 10 LEDs sequence chaser with only 4017 ic. I did not use any timer ic with it. Triggering is giving with RGB (cloured led). It looks beautiful with increasing and decreasing speed due to LED. - Наука та технологія

Is it possible to use a standard single colour flashing LED rather that the RGB LED to provide the pulse for the 4017 and produce a more regular flash pattern?

No u cant drive without RGB
U can use 555 ic for this purpose

Use a normal red blinking led instead of RGB for triger (clock) Chasing frequncy will be steadier.

Resistor value can b used 220 ohm
there is a resister whats point to joint it
1 point from - side and one point with 14 no
Rgb light 1 point with 14 no and 1 point with + side
What will if i dont use multicolored led

Because multicolor led is triggering to ic
U can use ic 555 to trigger 4017 ic if u don't want to use multicolor led
