They swallowed the whole bottle of DEI koolaid. They sincerely believe that theirosuccess as a business depends not on hiw good their products are, but how ethnically and "gender" diverse and intellectually sheepish the company is.
Jaguar sent a note to the other luxury car brands to do the same, from what i was told by an investor of the brand. they(🏳️🌈☭🚩)wants the entire car industry to fail, since sitting on busy roads to combat climate isn't working at all
Except that pretty much anybody can afford to buy Bud Light. Quite a few people who say on UA-cam that they're boycotting Jaguar can't afford one. (And it's come up on other comments. Yes. Due to selling 2 properties, I can afford to. Bought an A8 instead).
As A Brit to see this level of Wokery diminish a legendary British Brand is heartbreaking. I'd like to think some good will come of this self destruction of a company. In that other companies won't be so stupid. I feel sorry for the blue collar workers at re styled "DraGuar" when the sales Tank.
To be honest, Jaguar stopped being competitive with the CX75 blunder. If they had started producing the car, they would have made history long before McLaren, Ferrari and Porsche. It seems like their Marketing team has always been their Achilles' heel.
Unfortunately i don't see Jaguar being around much longer. It used to be an iconic brand that made pretty cool looking unreliable cars. The best older Jaguar's are small block Chevy swapped 😂
I guess I am no longer the target for them. 41, straight man, I now need to look to know what my next car is.... I currently drive a 2016 manual jaguar XE black edition. I have owned it for 6 years and will be looking to upgrade soon.

It definitely got a lot of attention, reaction, and people talking which is what Jaguar needs. It seems to be a teaser to what’s to come, I think the artsy avant-garde theme was overdone/overplayed and your description of it as an “art project from college” was hilarious and spot on! The new logo looks like a buckle from a designer handbag, and the new font type makes it way look too modern and trendy to suit a legendary British carmaker. I hope the next ads will at least show parts of the car and explain WTF is going on. There is huge pressure to produce something brilliant and innovative to justify such a (so-far) weird ad campaign, and it also would be a shame to ignore Jaguar’s history.
Remember Edsel? There were many factors that made that car the biggest flop in history but I believe one of them was that it was built up so much it had no chance but to be an anti climax when it finally came out. Jaguar, take heed. Will your EVs meet expectations?
They've been in trouble for at least a decade. The E type was the pinnacle of Jaguar, and that was mechanically flawed beyond belief. The design was perfect, but implementation was less than spectacular. No, they're going after the rainbow crowd, and there are some who are into that. I'm not judging, but if I was a shareholder, I would sell. If I owned a modern jaguar, I'd sell.
I love the old Jags. I hate the woke agenda shoved in my face. They have always had a bad reputation for their electronics, and now they are going to be all electronic. Hate the new Jaguar.
Catering for the people who are never going to buy a Jaguar great marketing fail will go down in history with Bud Light as the worst marketing decisions of the 21 st century
I would bet $10k that Jaguar will be completely dead as company within 3 years. They'll flop massively the 1st year, but they will have funds to keep going for a couple more, then Tata will pull the plug, and someone else will buy jaguar, but as a legacy brand, supplying parts, making one-offs, that sort of thing. Sad for Jaguar...
I owned two REAL Jaguars. If I ever bought another one, I have a great plan for it. The fire department would use it for trainees to learn to put out car fires. Like they burn down old houses for training purposes.
I think Jaguar definitely needed a re brand. I'm not sure this is the right move for them but if they didn't do a move they would no longer be in existence
People ditching Jaguar over this when Tesla has one of the worst quality records, per JD Power & Inside EV's. Amazing. My son has had about 6 or 7 recalls on his model S. He had to join a class action suit due to the screen being defective. Musk said too bad. He lost. "Tesla Is One Of The Least Reliable Used Car Brands: Consumer Reports" - Inside EV's "Tech, Tesla Problematic In J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, Stellantis Shines" - Forbes
The boss of Jaguar is upset about the public reaction, who care about his feeling??? HE'S NOT THE CUSTOMER!!! GOD DAMN IT!!!🤦♂, I thought that the customer was the most important in a business that works properly, and well apparently for those clowns at Jaguar it’s quite the opposite, already that Jaguar was not selling much so now we are sure they will sell nothing at all, the road bank is waiting for them very kindly! 😅
i see what most others cant! jaguar sales have been so low that they might have focused on creating more revenue by selling more jaguar-branded lifestyle stuff! LOL!
I remember when, a few decades ago Nissan/Datsun unveiled the new Infinity Q45 with an ad campaign that, for months, had no car in the ads. A true head scratcher as well but what the heck, give 'em a chance.....we are so quick to not only judge but get so phrenetic about it..........
Fink of black rock is definitely pressuring companies but forced I don't think so much. It's that they want to look cool and those employed at the top are clueless idiots on huge salaries.
Meanwhile Jaguar is recalling 3000 of its Ipace EV's because the batteries are overheating! Maybe spend less on the rebrand and more on your quality control there Jaguar!
Well, in my opinion, this might start the end of jaguar even existing because this image that they put out there. Just looks super terrible Timmy. And I used to love jaguar cars, now. I'm starting to regret it.
I think there is bad press, Jaguar is heading down the path of Bud Light and this is even worse for an auto company as sales will dip and then what options do they have?
It's not brilliant, it's an expensive advertising agency who employs newly graduated youngsters whose view is slanted by lack of experience yet who think they are original and ground breaking. But they did follow a brief from jaguar. That brief could have been change the drivers of jags from your fathers to your friends. But only the fathers can afford jags. Alienated owners from the off. Jaguaren't
I don’t care what anyone says,, it’s good to see Jaguar rolling the dice and taking some chances. It will always come down to the car. I look forward to seeing it. As far as the advertisement goes,, it got your attention, didn’t it? I know for some it will be hard. It’s definitely pushes some peoples buttons for sure 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Especially for anyone that might be a little homophobic or against Trans people, extreme futuristic fashion,,, or whatever this advertisement is supposed to be about. By the way, I think it was a bowl move by Jaguar. I’ve loved jaguar ever since I was a kid. It’s nice to know that they’re not afraid to push the line a little bit. I look forward to seeing what it all really means.
While Jaguar's styling was becoming SO outdated, I still liked it way better than all the competition that it was always trying to keep up with. I never liked the stylings of the competitors that much while Jaguar still had its outdated styling. I attended the Seattle International Auto Show a week ago. This, time I didn't even look much at BMW, Mercedes, or Audi. And after all the bad things I've heard about the reliability of all those makes and how they're all known for turning into big-ass money pits once all their warranties expire, I'd much rather own a 2000 base S-Type, yes even despite what's going on with that company now, than any far more modern German Luxury car or EV. The now old & ancient S-Type is everything that the company is going 100% away from now as it does its new sickening "woke" add. I'm an "old-school" person and damn proud of it, just in case somebody wants to come and attack me here in the comment section.
Its true Jaguar has lost its way and has done for a while now. You cannot argue this isn't very bold and yes looks suicidal. BUT If the cars they produce as a result are world beaters as they were in their glory days this will be a seriously.good result.
If you can't handle words, you may need to get off of the internet altogether. Strange, I see you play Postal 2 but feel the need to virtue signal about offensive (to you) language. So, what kind of "offensive" is okay in your book?
So far, it looks like a total clusterfuck. However, I'm going to be generous and give DRAGUAR/FAGUAR the benefit of the doubt. At their next branding event, blow me away with their brilliance. Surprise the hell outta me.

Thoughts on the Jaguar rebrand?! Are they gonna make it?
"Is this the worst rebrand in automotive history?"
Probably the worst rebrand in history. I can't think of a worse one, can you?
Not just car history. In all history period.
I give Jaguar another year before going bankrupt and Tata motors ditching it.
If they want to rebrand Jag how about they make them more reliable?
You would think...
How about a sub brand called "Puddycat" !!!
They swallowed the whole bottle of DEI koolaid. They sincerely believe that theirosuccess as a business depends not on hiw good their products are, but how ethnically and "gender" diverse and intellectually sheepish the company is.
This is what happens when you let marketing folks take over, instead of car folks and engineers.
Well we already know what happens when Jaguar engineers take over. You take the bus...
But when marketing takes over you don't walk, you run...
LOL. 😀
Jaguar actively WANTS to fail.
Jaguar sent a note to the other luxury car brands to do the same, from what i was told by an investor of the brand. they(🏳️🌈☭🚩)wants the entire car industry to fail, since sitting on busy roads to combat climate isn't working at all
Jaguar rebrand, brought to you by the creators of Zoolander.
What is this... a comment for ants ...
Excellent ! Can I have my new Draguar in "Blue Steel" !!!!
brought to you by Blackrock
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills watching this commercial!
Jag is being dead serious. There isn't going to be a "HAH FOOLED YOU!" kinda moment. Look into their current leadership.
They need to be fired
Now it's FAGUAR.
Hahaha. That's the perfect comment. 😂
You got something original in that vaccuum head, instead of just copying others.
🤣
The new marketing is a total disaster.
Yeah I see a swift and brutal "Bud Lighting".
Except that pretty much anybody can afford to buy Bud Light. Quite a few people who say on UA-cam that they're boycotting Jaguar can't afford one.
(And it's come up on other comments. Yes. Due to selling 2 properties, I can afford to. Bought an A8 instead).
They are targeting people who dont give a darn about cars, and more often than not, hate them and want them banned... Genius...
As A Brit to see this level of Wokery diminish a legendary British Brand is heartbreaking. I'd like to think some good will come of this self destruction of a company. In that other companies won't be so stupid. I feel sorry for the blue collar workers at re styled "DraGuar" when the sales Tank.
Yes it's the workers on the factory floor who will loose jobs
Sir William Lyons is turning over in his grave!!!
Turning over the Bri'ish way😂😂😂😂😂
“To the queen!!”
*turn*
😀
His family should sue.
Well it is an UK company and the UK has gone full stupid and you never go full stupid.
You just did with this comment 😂
@@jamiepike6909 Well can't use the r word anymore as it triggers people for some reason.

It seems like their Marketing team has always been their Achilles' heel.
The Jaguar (classic) logo is not DATED. It is a all-time CLASSIC!
Their new all-electric "car" that looks like an air conditioning unit reminds me of the Chrysler Crossfire.
So much for "copy noting."
Zoolander in the thumbnail 😭🙏, what a good movie.
Correction
Marketing have been sniffing the pink stuff 😂
Unfortunately i don't see Jaguar being around much longer. It used to be an iconic brand that made pretty cool looking unreliable cars. The best older Jaguar's are small block Chevy swapped 😂
Good luck Jaguar, you just fucked 99% of your clients. And catering to 1% of the people that buys your cars 🤦🏻♂️👍🏻
If you think that 1% of existing or potential Jaguar customers are woke activists or professors of "... studies" I'd say you are very optimistic.
I don't have any feelings for ANY Jaguars made since the 1960s.
Looks like a Chrysler Crossfire. 😅
Don't insult the crossfire like that
@@SlvrWlf88Yeah, the Crossfire needs no help 😂
Go woke go broke
The problem of polarize is that your brand could stay at the other side of the wall than your potential customers

To sum it up, jaguar has gone from car that villians drive to a car that a fashion model or fashion designer drives. I AM SO AGITATED RIGHT NOW!
Elton Jhon is going to be their first and only customer!
Remember Edsel? There were many factors that made that car the biggest flop in history but I believe one of them was that it was built up so much it had no chance but to be an anti climax when it finally came out. Jaguar, take heed. Will your EVs meet expectations?
The ad campaign worked perfectly. It's got ALL of you talking about Jag. Trolling works for more than just political campaigns and UA-cam engagement 😉
Yeah just like everyone was talking about Bud Light and most of us no how that ended up
Talking is all very well. But till they all put their money is, and buy, Jaguar ain't seeing a damn thing 🎶
No such thing as bad publicity fails in this case. 😅
No the worst rebrand of a car company but the worst of any company ever
They've been in trouble for at least a decade. The E type was the pinnacle of Jaguar, and that was mechanically flawed beyond belief. The design was perfect, but implementation was less than spectacular.

Oh, thank god this was a Jaguar commercial, I thought that Disney was recasting the seven dwarves
Anything Jaguar touches i would never touch.
The advertising is OK. I just miss the prices for the outlet clothes.
Catering for the people who are never going to buy a Jaguar great marketing fail will go down in history with Bud Light as the worst marketing decisions of the 21 st century
The only way in which a company can die is through sales. Their sales will depend on their products. Nothing else matters.
I would bet $10k that Jaguar will be completely dead as company within 3 years. At least we have a term for it. Jaguar pulled a Bud Light.
I think Jaguar definitely needed a re brand. I'm not sure this is the right move for them but if they didn't do a move they would no longer be in existence
Jaguar's very generous boost to Ben Stiller's career😂
It is not about the controversial new design. It is about the brand going too WOKE, and society doesn't want that!
Jaguar will sell nothing and be happy....

The ‘Drag-Queen market’ is not as small as you think (especially in San Francisco), so this could be a brilliance campaign for that particular group.
Because 340 million people live in San Francisco. Jesus kid, you're not very bright are you?
😢 no, it’s not a car company. it’s social obsession.

If going all electric didn't kill the company, this ad will. Now we know where the bud light marketing team ended up.
Maybe they should reintroduce the xk220! If only the 70mai camera was standard on my car. I need one!
The Jaguar Ad is because of DEI and ESG. Companies are being forced to do this now. WEF and higher is to blame.

Jaguar have had to buy back 3000 of their I-PACE EV's because of their tendency to burst into flames. Things are not going well.

maybe not the white stuff but surely the pink stuff since its new
Now the logo looks like a sink brand lol
In an attempt to gain a new audience they killed the old one!

The new jaguar logo is the same as the SMART car... and what happened to that?
