One of my all time favorite Dylan songs, from any era. This is so far beyond pop or rock music, it's insane.
i had the amazing fortune to be in a band that could play this and well. the audience response was always a blast. they knew it was unique and even though we were an all dylan band people asked who it was lol. like dreaming of you, and blind willie, and all his best...it's an unique eternal microcosm.

Yes indeed. He's such am American treasure of the old poets.. I've absorbed his early catalog well, then a silence for a while before this mammoth Lanois record. Bob hated the production of it but some capitulation and adventure, maybe? won it over. This is my favorite track. Of course the last track Highlands is crazy.

One of Dylan's heaviest alltime tunes and a personal fave. And just like listening to Helmet, Mudhoney, Purling Hiss and other heavy music, the louder you turn it up the better it sounds
