Define "truth". Especially as it relates to Katt's interview and him running a 40 yard dash faster than any NFL player, Him selling $2k worth of car stereos a DAY for years at age 14, reading 3k books a YEAR for 4 years, him claiming he wrote the money mike script, him saying Cedric has never had a comedy special on netflix (even though Ced has had one for 18 months and is still on netflix), saying Tiffany never performed at the COmedy Store and Guy Torry posting video otherwise. So who isnt lying?

Right. I guess tph will be next on the show. I hope not. She needs to go figure out a few things and get her stories straight bc it's not making sense. Wendy warned her about talking out against empire. Tyler wrote about 2-3 movies to have her in the leading role. She was in steve harvey's movie, lions gates hidden figures and proud mary,. She has had more opportunities that most and still complaining yet not made any lanes for herself. I think she is/was still recovering from the breakup with the young nfl player imo.

Blacks have traditionally made less money too. Cookie on Empire is not gonna make what Elaine made on Seinfeld. Seinfeld had bigger numbers and cost less to make.
American Pie, Barbershop and Next Friday all had the same budget. American Pie made over 6 times the money. So those white boys are gonna get paid well.
It's just a numbers game... we live in a white country. Monique & Taraji know this. I can't speak on Taraji, but Monique is manipulating the narrative. Either that or she's ignorant at her old age.

There is definitely a disconnect, because Monique is not the first person. Oprah has tried to do this with …look how she wanted to be Michael Jackson‘s Bestie, and when she didn’t feel that was going to happen, she turned on him. She did interviews with him, and she asked all the ridiculous questions instead of important ones, but she wanted to be his Bestie😳🙄?! I believe Tyler may have turned on Monique because every show he had was on an Oprah channel and he felt if he went against Oprah he’d be back to where he started . It was a cloud in his judgment. I think the real problem is Oprah, and others like her she also threw Toni Braxton for no reason under an atomic bus. Oprah cares about Oprah.

Monique's interview with Steve Harvey many years ago is one that sticks with me to this day. When Mo talked about the integrity game, I knew right then and there she'd suffer and it would take years for her truth to do her justice. I myself worked as a private tutor. After teaching for 2 years with stellar academic results, I asked for a raise. Unfortunately the parents and I didn't see eye to eye, so we parted ways, seemingly on peaceful terms. But my old students in that class started saying that I was overcharging, which I speculated to be spoon-fed to them by their own parents, and one of the moms actually called me something along the line of arrogant to my face. The paradox here was that, even though they labelled me with various negative epithets, they were actually willing to pay other teachers the same rate that I had suggested, along with extra gifts on special holidays. And after one year and 3 replacements of teachers, they called me up again. The moment Mo talked about not succumbing to higher authority, I knew what would unfold. I also knew that, although she was able to start the conversation, her voice would not be heard, because she was perceived by most to be the underdog, the disposable, the "you should be happy just to be invited". Years have passed Mo. I don't think things can ever be made right. You cannot relieve the years the have past, along with all of the joy and glory they could have bestowed upon you. I do hope that, as you continue this journey, you'll get your piece of mind.

Always thought it interesting the way that prior to Oprah granting Iyanla Vanzant a show on her network, Iyanla chose to publicly apologize to Oprah merely for attempting to have a talk show, independent of Oprah- an act that shouldn’t have required a public apology and expression of gratitude for the friendship; despite the fact that they were both accomplished, their interactions appeared to be very unequal. The next time I viewed them together, if I am not mistaken, Iyanla was providing viewers a tour of the upgrades to her home that Oprah had paid for as a friendly gift, with Iyanla profusely expressing gratitude to Oprah for the gift of friendship and housing upgrade. I remember thinking at that time: real friends don’t provide gifts and conduct joint announcement of it, and that I had never witnessed seen Oprah doing this for her long-time friend Gayle King, unless Gayle mentioned it first.
I did not know how the “game” that truth-tellers like Mo’Nique refer to, was played, but I understood that Iyanla did. That’s why I did not understand when it appeared that Iyanla left Oprah’s network complaining about the guests that appeared on the show and and the followers of the show Oprah gave her, holding her accountable for her treatment of the guests for ratings; it seemed clear when Iyanla unnecessarily apologized to Oprah before being granted the show on Oprah’s network, that she knew what she was signing up for and exactly how the game was played.

Having a job/career does not mean only learning a skill, ability or trade. It means knowing the industry, knowing the region, knowing the compensation rate for your skill and experience for where you are at and what the industry is looking for at that time.
At my last job, there were three managers, one left and my boss and I were moved up in leadership. Then my boss left and i was not moved up, even tho i had more experience than he did when they moved him up to GM. I said Ok, stayed quiet and went looking for other employment. After 4 months I got 2 offers and both were better positions than my current one. Now im GM
