Hi again guys. This was a little mini-concert in addition to the full Nightwish show on an earlier evening. It started out with just Marko and Troy doing a bunch of covers and having a blast. Then Kai joined them, followed by Floor later in the show, while Tuomas and Empuu watched from the balcony. It was hilarious when Floor first rushed on stage to put a stop to Troy playing the theme song of Titanic aboard a ship. Then she performed her brilliant cover of Alone by Heart. As others have said, the Edema Ruh is the name for a people in the King Killer Chronicles by Patrick Rothfus. Along with being the best musicians they were also the best story tellers. In fact they knew the forgotten stories, ones that weren’t supposed to be told.

This was a concert on the Nightwish cruise featuring Marko and Troy only, Floor and Kai came on as 'special guest's' for a couple of song's including Alone.

That's so nice and above all you can see that it's not just Floor, Marco and Troy singing, no, Kai also sings in the chorus.
I get a real Judith Durham and the Seekers vibe from this, especially with Floor using a faster vibrato than normal, giving a real folk sound to the song.
She can do anything she wants...

Love this song. Song is inspired by the Patrick Rothfuss books of the Kingkiller Chronicles. The Edema Rue are a group of nomadic performers who travel about the countryside performing music, plays, and storytelling. They are the keepers of the culture and myth. A beautiful song that was almost the single off Endless Forms Most Beautiful instead of Elan. Tuomas clearly identifies with Nightwish being like the Edema Ruh.

Intended by Tuomas to be the first single from EFMB, but didn't happen as Troy and Marco persuaded him Elan should be the single.

I was in this cruise back in 2015. It was fun, saw Kai, Troy and Floor walking around. Got to talk with Kai. Anyway Happy new year from Finland. Let's hope year 2023 will be a good one for us all.

Got so excited about New Year's Nightwish, I let out a sort-of of whoop and scared my cat. I think she's in the other room under the bed and now I have to get a band-aid of my leg...but I'm still totally stoked for New Year's Nightwish! 😂😊❤
