    Glad to see the videos back Ivers. Jay is funny under a bit of pressure. Boy did you have him spooked on the last video. He’s a great hand on the farm. Good guy

    I'm seeing other 'Tubers singing praise for Salford tillage equipment. The farms around my AO are not anywhere the size of the farms I'm watching on youtube. Most use just use a disk for their tillage. Nice review. Good the see the Salfoed engineers keeping an eye on the equipment in use to gauge where the design might need improvements.

    Rolling baskets in southern Ontario were popular in the 80s, I pulled a double row back then that did just as good a job as your salford.

    Case IH introduced the Big 715 Quadtrac today. Maybe we will see y'all with one someday! I wish I could see it in person. If you get a chance Reese, can you get some good video of it at the farm progress show?

    The only thing we didn’t like about the 20ft demo VRT was we couldn’t get it to rip up the compaction from the tractor tracks in our dirt. But really like all the features it has though.

    Can you get insurance on farm equipment like you would your personal car, or are things just covered under warranty’s?

    • @agger838
      @agger838 Рік тому +1

      Tractors have extended warrantys. And then you have insurance coverage for acts of god and such

      Why do you think they get brand new combines every year? They want the new warranty and new technology. But you better bet they are all insured for loss or theft or........ It makes good business sense if you can do it. But you must have the cash flow. A few bad years with the weather or disease and you could be kicking rocks.

    • @iversfarms
      @iversfarms  Рік тому +1

      Warranty is 2 years and we have everything insured

    So ive been looking into a halo for our operation which is much different than yours we farm in Saskatchewan and really only do tillage in the low spots we couldn't seed in the spring im wondering if you've run this unit through weeds and or ruts from a sprayer or tractor and how it does, the reason im looking at a halo is the versatility because for what i want to do a high speed disk like a pro till would be perfect but for the amount i would use it for the job it is intended to do it doesn't seem worth it at least with a halo id have the option to do some vertical tillage if i needed to dry the ground up in the spring. Im also wondering does this unit leave any kind of ridging or hard pan in the ground when you sink it deep and are really trying to move some dirt.

      We breakout the ripper in the fall for the areas with big ruts or compaction problems then use this in the spring and on everything else

      @iversfarms have you ran the halo in tall weeds at all or tall anything how does it chop up the tall residue and bury it? Thats primarily what i would be hsing it for. Thanks for the reply by the way!
