My brother sent this to me one year before he went to the sky world. We honored his wishes when daylight came for him January 2, 2019. I love you little brother, I'll find you in the music.....
I am 62 and contemplating my mortality. I used to be an avid hiker and camped in high wilderness... This is my dream way of going.. Lean me against a tree and let me go naturally and may the animals and woods I adored prosper from my remains.

I am 70, I was recently diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimers. I am ready. My mother had it and I took care of her until she passed. I don’t want to go through that. No point 🙏
To me, this song has always been about finding peace with the world and with yourself. Whatever the situation may be, whatever circumstances befall you, just accept reality for what it is. And be at peace with it.
@buckeyeman98 I kinda get those same feelings when I hear this song. I use to be the kinda person that would worry about almost everything & just let little insignificant things bother me.. but now I’m at peace with my life and myself and it’s so hard to explain to others who haven’t walked through the fire. I do believe they’ll come a time in a chapter of everyone’s life to experience the transition of this crossover. All my blessings to anyone that’s going through some type of hardship and struggling to stay afloat in this stormy sea of life.
There is something deeply spiritual about letting a departed one be consumed and mingle with the elements, which this piercing ballad captures quite well. The meditative undertones of the visuals complements the melancholic beauty of this great song.
Heard this song last night when I watched The Stand at Paxton County. Fell in love with it immediately. Not many songs truly touch my soul...but this is on the top of my list. Been searching your songs all morning. Your voice is beautiful.
Found out my best friend since middle school overdosed and died today . Left behind 3 kids and so many people that loved her. This song brings me comfort.
My friend, who owned wolves, always said that he wanted his wolves to feed on his bones after he died. He just died last week and that night I heard this song for the first time. It's so eerily beautiful. I hope he is in a better place now. I'll miss you, GG
My cousins ashes were spread in the ocean here near Santa Monica pier. Mine will be spread just down from here at Mugu Rock. We all grew up in Calif. Him and his brothers in Santa Monica and me and my sister in Camarillo abt 10 miles from Mugu Rock in Ventura County. I have two friends with their ashes around Mugu Rock and mine and a friend of mine will be here too. To all that are flying over the Pacific Ocean right now, enjoy your ride in the waves and rest with each sunset. ✌🏻y’all.
This song reached into me and moved me. I will keep it in my archives and share with those who will play it at my funeral. It's so me...the beach, watching seabirds in flight. Quite moving.
I legit want to write this in my will that this song needs to be playing as my ashes are spread along my where my heart is on the Southern California coast. 🙏🏼
That's right. Never understood why the preacher said the most about people I loved at their funeral. How the fuck does he know? He should just ask people who show up to come up and share some stories instead of telling people how to feel...
Why would you have a clergy person conduct your funeral or memorial service if you don't know them?1 As a living person YOU absolutely have the power to declare to your loved ones/family/friends what you want in your service!! Don't act like a victim to the norms, Jonny! Most people don't make after-life decisions beforehand because THEY are afraid to 'go there'. That is on you! Don't blame those who remain, who are merely seeking a word of comfort in their grief, and who have reached out to standard service providers!! OWN your own service, "(go) nad-up" or "ovum-up" and have a party inviting a bunch of family and friends to plan their funerals! While you're at it, do your will! All of this makes getting along without you (WHEN you do eventually die,) much easier on them. It's an act of love, after all AND you get the service that you think you want.
Knowing death, knows life and seeing the end after the future has become past. Presently living to die free. Seems freedom only asks for a death of an enslaved life. Live the life you love and love the life you lived. In the end...there are only wolves enjoying the bones..
This is the most incredible song!! I cannot stop listening to it, at least twice a day. There is something so soothing and calming about it! and as morbid as this is, i want this to be my funeral song :) its how i would want to leave this beautiful world! FREE!!
Complicated but understated. Single bass notes. Singing in octaves instead of harmonizing (except in the chorus and the bridge). Fucking genius. Dark isn't usually my thing but I love this song.
I just discovered down like silver and I realized they are a silent online profiled guys. Just incase they are seeing this. Please guys your guys are the best folks recording acts I have seen since 2010. Please do more music . Love your music and give us a place to follow your updates. God bless
There is maybe a handful of songs that wasn't made in the 80s that I like. I only heard this song recently, I really love this song, it just does it for me. This song gives me the same feelings that Joy division back in the 80s when I first heard them play. two years ago I survived stage 4 metastatic cancer when a doctor told me I had four weeks left to live, I tried to explain to people that I didn't need a $10,000 casket or a huge funeral, but nobody understood. I wish I would have been able to play this song for them maybe they would have understood.
I feel that my husband reached out and picked this song to help me get through the loss of losing him, I think I will spread his ashes over the sea. beautiful song💖
I feel like this song is the perfect eulogy for the first 28 years of my life. Some of the most unbearable suffering of my life. Thankfully, things are much better now. I'm glad I hung on.
Heard this song for the first time and it immediately felt like a gut punch; my dad would have loved this, and it almost felt like a gift from him. I'm sorry for your loss

I have never heard a more perfect song, I refuse to let such magic go unheard. Ironically, there is a tower in the beginning of the video, and that is what I do for work. I understand what you're saying. It may seem silly, but every pet I lose, I feel like I should have given them more of my time and attention. Then, suddenly it's too late, no more time! Peace and love to you and yours!

Life has no meaning. None. Only what we make it, but in and of itself, life has no meaning.
Verse 1]
When I die, let the wolves enjoy my bones
When I die, let me go
When I die, let the wolves enjoy my bones
When I die, let me go

When I die, you can push me out to sea
When I die, set me free
When I die, let the sharks come 'round to feed
When I die, set me free
[Chorus 1]
Oh the world is dark
And I've looked as far I can see
When the years have torn me apart
Let me be

When I die, let the flames devour me
When I die, set me free
When I die, throw my ashes to the breeze
When I die, scatter me
