Nah… The devs are simply not done optimizing. This is in a ridicoulous state. Look how bad the graphic settings scale. It doesn‘t matter if you have mid / high / epic settings. Looks the same and all run like shit.

Tbh I've got a 1660ti and I can run it on medium pretty ok ish. There are some sudden lag spikes when loading new terrain but for the most part it's fine

I got a 3060 and playing around with the settings i get about 70fps playing on med settings at 2k res. I never crashed yet and ive only had a server disconnect once but so far i love it for the price
People really need to make sure their rigs are running well. My main rig of 7800X3D [yes top tier gaming CPU] + rtx 4070 [not top tier but very nice 1440P GPU] i never drop below 110 to 150 fps Epic settings, actually dropping to low preset barely makes any difference maybe 3 frames at best but i do drop foilage to help spot AI. Now for the juciy bit. My 6 year old rig 8600K + 1080TI low or medium preset [after extensive testing these presets make no difference on this rig] im getting a solid 80-90 fps [i lock it to 90] but it never drops below 80 @ 1440P
04:02 you hit the guy 3 times in the 15 or so shots you fired, the game simulates body armor and a vital system, meaning if you get shot in a non-vital area despite being hit with a round you will only bleed at a moderate rate if shot by regular ammunition (this is even less effective when the opponent is wearing body armor) and the weapon you are using whilst effective if you land your shots on their vital organs does not have enough stopping power to completely take down the opponent immidiately. If you would have stopped firing after the reload he most likely would have bled out within 10 or so seconds. However I will say the game could do with a sort of "stagger system" with the AI as they sometimes get hit in a non-vital area and then snap round and begin shooting instantly, not as bad as it is in Ready Or Not but still not very accurate.
i cant say with certainty in this specific case... but often in recent video games, especially in Unreal Engine 5.. when you set the graphics options to low, occasionally even medium..it will actually shunt much of the performance load onto your CPU as opposed to your gpu, and you'll get worse performance overall ... that's why some people are experiencing worst performance on Lower settings.. and in some instances it can actually help to use higher, but not the highest options And of course, for those having buku issues.. a lot of games these days, and particularly those that have yet to be optimized.. are designed with dlss/ssr, whatever, frame generation in mind honestly, and unfortunately, even if you have a 4090 or whatever these days (sry for typos, on phone atm using speech to text haha, will edit shortly)

Additionally as someone who does own the game, apart from server issues, the game is smooth (once you have optimized your setting correctly for your PC's specs, obv dont run DX12 on a 2070) and is extremely fun to play.

I don't really know much about this game but if feels like one of these "games" where the developpers took a lot of assets, combined them together with no effort and selled it at a high price. It would explain the fancy graphics (Unreal Engine 5 + assets so it's easy to make), wanky animations, poorly designed sound (need too much effort to make or assets were too expensive), dumb AI (again, need too much effort to make or assets were too expensive) and the horrible optimisation (need a lot of effort). It's just like The Day Before, the goal behind it is to make the most amount of money of a "game" you didn't really made. I feel like it won't be supported for long so my advice, don't buy this game and take Helldivers 2, it's much better
Your graphics card might be limited due to the 8 GBs of VRAM. Especially early access games aren't optimized enough, so they claim a lot of the available VRAM causing stability and frame rate issues.

Escape from tarkov looks better than gray zone warfare and runs on my dell g15 smooth, this game runs in 13 FPS . Im happy that T-bag pointed this out.
One thing that always confuses me is why people get so defensive and/or confused when their once relevant computer part is not as good as it once was. I have owned pcs since 13 years old in 1999 and have seen and bought every imaginable console and pc configuration you can think of. Starting my humble beginnings on my Intel Celeron 233 mhz and a voodoo graphics card trying to play star wars episode 1 at anything acceptable. To my sli 580gtx setup that would absolutely annihilate anything you threw at it. Until it didn't. Even now once again with my 2080 build I am min maxing settings just to try and keep consistent framerates and decent visuals. Your shits getting old. Time to suck it up and deal with it 😢

This game is early early early access and in a bad state when it comes to optimization and performance. i got a 6700xt and ryzen 9 5900x and it plays with like 100 frames normally so its not too bad...not great. Needs improvement for sure, but its a new release so it'll get there.
why are you so sure that "it'll get there"? You paid for a buggy tech demo from devs who only made mobile games before, once you paid them they don't owe you anything, they don't care about you, they already have your money
it does say minimum requirements are pretty much all 8gb cards. that includes the 3060 and 4060. your 3070ti only meets recommended so i wouldnt be expecting high frames anyway. what settings are you playing with? if you cant afford high end card, you might have to make do with lower settings.
I couldn't even launch this game! Would crash on the boot screen every time! I changed so many things, followed all the discussion forums and still nothing. First game I ever refunded on Steam

I have a 7800xt and this game plays perfectly for me at 144fps
record it and post it otherwise your full of it, dedicated channels benchmarking this game don't even show that performance

it does say minimum requirements are pretty much all 8gb cards. that includes the 3060 and 4060. your 3070ti only meets recommended so i wouldnt be expecting high frames anyway. what settings are you playing with? if you cant afford high end card, you might have to make do with lower settings.

I saw too many complaints about the cheating AI and Chopper being horrible to use so I'm gonna wait until those are addressed.

Bought it, spawned in moved about a bit, didn't like the movement... refunded it. Was getting around 150fps with an AMD RX6800 and 5600x

I couldn't even launch this game! Would crash on the boot screen every time! I changed so many things, followed all the discussion forums and still nothing. First game I ever refunded on Steam

got 70h in game so far, wanna join me? Got all the knowledge, all the rat spots, money runs, even a secrets in the middle of the map nobody knows about. I didnt know what to do with that information about middle of the map, but i kept it for myself. Now i know what to do with it :D Wanna give it to ya and spread it via you as a way to support your content. Btw I also play on 3070ti xD game runs well on 80fps, if not, its a server issue, change a server...

@@TBAG optimalisation and server stability is 1st in line on a roadmap. Hope it wont take all. But to a finished product its gonna be a long ride, im guessing few years
