Any Australian based NRL team is worth watching, but my favourites to watch the Brisbane Broncos the Melbourne storm the New Zealand Warriors, and the Penrith Panthers for sheer entertainment value. The guy in the pink jersey who kicked the field goal is Nathan Cleary who now has four rings from four consecutive premiership victories
Top 3 teams you should check out are 1. Penrith Panthers 2. Sydney Roosters 3. Melbourne Storm Can't really think of a 4th team. Most other teams vary from season to season in strength but these 3 are consistent. If anyone says Brisbane Bronocs, they on the pipe so disregard anything else they say. Every NRL fan knows that Broncos are the greatest chokers ever. They chocked the 2015 with 20seconds left in the game and chocked the 2023 Grand Final when leading by 16 points with 20mins left in the match. The player you stopped the video at 3:33secs asking who he was is Nathan Cleary. Arguably the Top Halfback in the World Right now. Even getting offers from Rugby Union. For the record theres 2 types of Rugby which are League & Union. League is 13 a side & Union is 15 a side. Union is popular in the Northern Hemisphere + South Africa & New Zealand while League is Popular in Northern England, Australia and the Pacific. Union is more global than League thou with Union talent spreadout World Wide while League talent mainly stems from Australia, New Zealand (though Union more populat there) and the Pacific Islands. League will be more easier to understand for an American as its more simplied and teams have a set of 6 tackles to score a try, similar to downs in grid iron. Union has unlimited tackles/downs and has special rules and gameplay tactics around rucks, mauls, scrums & lineouts. People may argue which is better but judge for yourself. I've played both forms of the game and love em both. Btw you have to watch a State of Origin match. Its when the best rugby league players in the NRL go off at eachother in a 3 game series. The intensity is higher than a normal rugby league match however watch a few rugby league matches before you watch State of Origin or you'll ruin it!
7:19 Rugby is tough. Most people stop playing this game after 30. It’s tough on the body when you cant heal as fast as when you was 18😂 I’d say give it a try but expect to feel little Niggling injuries. If your in 30s though, these are your final years when you wanna consider retiring and play touch or flag footy instead 😂
When new to a sport, I always recommend picking the best team. Only because you can enjoy your team winning and also learn a new sport. In the nrl. Top 2 teams are panthers and storm but not always because unlike most sport, the nrl, have a salary cap meaning every team has the same amount of money to spend on all their players. This evens out the talent making it hard and to predict the outcome of a game equal competiton. The dog on his day can beat the favourites at home.
I'm a Manly Sea Eagles supporter. So of course I'd say follow the Sea Eagles. However if I'm honest with you, I would say that the greatest team in the NRL in modern history is hands down the Penrith Panthers.
@@TySJSTwo There's not really a team that represents a place like Alabama here. closest thing is Northern Territory here and there's no teams from NT. If you want a team that's usually at the top of the ladder, go for Melbourne Storm, Manly Sea Eagles, Canterbury Bulldogs or Penrith Panthers. Penrith Panthers have won the NRL grand final for the last four years, but they've just lost some MVPs so it'll be interesting to see how they do in 2025 - they're still a pretty safe bet to be in the top 5 though. They have an amazing coach, Ivan Cleary, who knows how to bring out the best in his players (extremely good team coordination and tactics, brutal offence and solid defense). Also, you mentioned the guy with the aura - that's Nathan Cleary, a Penrith player and son of the coach. Extremely good player, great strategist, and pretty much the poster boy for NRL at the moment. Penrith will be one of the male NRL teams that are playing in Vegas in 2025 along with Canberra Raiders, Cronulla Sharks and New Zealand Warriors. We also have a rugby women's league - the WNRL. Oh, and a little extra info, the Panther's jersey is pink there because it's their away jersey. Their home jersey is black (you can see it at 04:51).
Thought u were a Yawnion fan?. You wont like this. Just ask a south African. "Blasphemy that's not proper rugby, u should watch our mighty BOKS they are the best of the best". Boring talk from a boring game. League is a sport.
If your gonna call it anything it's known as league definitely not rugby. Some people would beat you up for calling it rugby and vise versa. Will someone ever get this correct I doubt it 😒
I'm loving seeing Americans checking out & discovering league & union, that's dope
you weren't wrong @ 4:23 that's Nathan clearly one of the best players too ever play the game

If you want a winning team then there are two stand outs.
You want either the "Melbourne Storm" or "Penrith Panthers".
3:51 that Kick Is From The 2023 Eels Vs Panthers Match was an Insane Match it was a Rematch of the 2022 Grand Final Definitely Check out that Game
