Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Like so many others, my lifestyle changed due to the pandemic.
Before the pandemic, my families lives had become so hectic & busy that there never seemed to be a good time to travel anymore. Somewhere along the line we realized that our last vacation was in 2011. We decided that it was time we made some travel plans.
Then the pandemic hit! I no longer wanted to travel by plane or stay in a hotel. We decided that a bettter and safer alternative would be to travel in our own vehicle, one that we could also sleep in, cook our own meals in, vacation in. The rest is history!
However, the RV shopping process is not easy and required a lot of research. I want to share what I have learned along with my ongoing experiences and adventures through my channel which offers:
RV tours / walkthroughs
Camping destinations
Hiking
RV modifications & DIYs
RV Cooking
And much more…..
So I invite you to come along with me on this ongoing RV journey.
Ruby is so good, she is the master of telling folks what they want to know..awesome
Hello Todd, I am so glad you find my videos informative. I always appreciate hearing from you! Thank you so much for watching!
Really like this over the Sol Horizon. It fixes the bed access issue and creates a very functional lounge space to read, watch TV, play cards or other activities. The side by side twins allows one partner to get to the bathroom without waking them.
Hello Michael, I agree, I love the functional layout as well. It provides a lot of space for more than one person to move around. Thank you so much for watching! 🤗
Better counter top space would help, maybe have a hinged flap on the end to provide extra space. Apart from that it’s a very decent design.
Hello Mark, I agree. I also would personally prefer more countertop space but it might not be an issue or dealbreaker for many people especially for those that prefer to do the majority of their cooking outdoors. Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for the detailed tour! If they had a flip out counter top for any area at all to prep it’d be perfect!
Hello, I totally agree! Thank you so much for watching!
Hi, why did you not show all available storage space under the dinette and under the twin bed area? These units have very little storage, so it would be good to know if there is more storage under those seats.
Another great video Ruby. It's always a pleasure watching your videos. I hope you never stop doing these videos.
Hello, I appreciate the compliments! Thank you so much for watching my videos!
Ruby, I have a question.... Are these Intech trailers true 4 season trailers?@@Adventure-Mom
Best walkthrough you do!!!
Hello, thanks for the compliment and thank you so much for watching! 🤗
Very nice Ruby, the interior has good lighting and functionality. Thank you
Hello, I am so glad you liked the RV. Thank you so much for watching!
Good review! Everything looks well built. Could you please show us the construction of the drawers. Dovetail? Staples? Every stapled drawer I’ve had came apart eventually. Aluminum construction or dovetail joints only from now on!
Awesome review Ruby! Thank You! I was torn between the Oliver Elite II, the MDCUSA Island and the Dusk. Thank you for helping me decide! Love your reviews!❤
Hello, I’m so glad my video was helpful! What did you decide on? I wish you safe travels in your new RV! Thank you so much for watching my videos! 🤗
Another good review Ruby, you give us some much good info. What we like is how impartial u r
Hello DMyatt, I always look forward to your wonderful comments! I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much for watching!
Just an FYI from an owner of 2 Intech campers. Before you do anything, get a brake away bar for the lug nuts underneath the camper for the spare tire holder. It was torqued so tight that you cant release the spare tire on the side of the road when you have a flat. Shame on Intech for doing that. I recommend a dry run tire change at your home base before traveling. Also you'll need a camper jack as one is not provided, "Hello"....
Love this design. Is there any extra storage under the seating/bed area?
I could use a APP for the switches and displays. Bring in a geek.
QQ Ruby...does the dinette when converted to sleeper fit one or two teens? in effect, will the camper sleep four? Great job...
I enjoy watching your videos. Why does the bathroom door make so much noise? Oh, and no sink in the bathroom 😮
Hello, I prefer a sink in the bathroom as well but it’s not a dealbreaker for some people. Thanks for watching!
Ammai Super Video I Love You
Hello, I am so glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you so much for watching!
This is not bad but I think the AirStream is the King of campers when it comes to the overall design
Airstreams cost about 2.5 to 3 times as much also. These are aluminum welded frames and very nice especially at the price point. You can find the 2023 models in the low 30k range. Plus the outside kitchen give it a extra feature airstream doesn't have. Airstreams are beautiful and I have always wanted one but they are very expensive.
Hello, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Thanks for watching!
Airstream tends to have way too LOW a CCC number...and they refuse to up it. In some of their smaller models, it's so low you can't carry much at all before you're at max capacity. Not good, at least for me anyway, as I can live with most RV designs/layouts -- I'm more into performance, capability and otherwise real-life usefulness (and quality/warranty/customer care after the sale as well).
No, I don't PLAN on carrying a lot, but I like to have the extra capacity just in case (one reason I bought a truck with more towing-capacity than I'll likely ever need). Don't get it with Airstream no matter how nice it looks. And nowadays their "quality rating" is mixed -- don't know about the "quality" of their customer care (but then since Thor owns Airstream, I'm a bit concerned about BOTH of those things).
This Intech Sol TT has a pretty decent layout, and has (apparently) an electric/compressor refrigerator, not the obsolete ammonia/absorption ones STILL seen to today in some RVs. Bathroom seems quite roomy, too.
But given it's length and only one axle, they may want to consider upping the axle's carrying-capacity just a tad so if nothing else it's more robust, especially if taking it off-road (since looks to have some decent ground-clearance for doing that).

@@billredding2000 They do make some double axle models. They cost a lot more. The good thing about intech RV's is that they are aluminum framed and not wooden framed like cheaper models.
@@kingslender1874 I was just talking about this model (wouldn't want one this long though so for sure the double axles models would be way too long for me).
As for pricing, when you get into this category of TT, they ALL seem to be "more expensive." And of course, a double axle is safer (even though you have to buy 4 tires occasionally vs. 2).
So to me it seemed a 21' TT was a bit large for 1 axle, and not even that high rated capacity (weight-wise). If people are boon-docking in it, they may want to carry extra water/propane and even a generator -- maybe extra solar panels and more batteries -- that weight adds up quickly.
I can see single axles for something small -- like a 16' Bambi or 16' Basecamp or 16' Caravel, or the Scamps/Casitas...although THEY need beefing up as well, and lose the dinky toy-like axle/tires (and make stronger frames) they've had on them for decades -- but those also are the ones with a low CC.
A truck-camper woudl also be a choice, but I don't have the huge honkin' full-size truck needed to carry that weight, and trucks nowadays are insanely expensive -- I'll pass on getting one (I have a mid-size truck).
I'm still struggling with a towable vs. motorized (such as a small Class B or camper-van)...so will have to do more research on that.
Happy Travels,
-- BR
No sink in the bathroom, c'mon intech.
Hello Manuel, I also prefer a sink in the bathroom of my camper but some people prefer to maximize the space in a wet bath by not having a sink in there. Thank you so much for watching! 🤗
