I hate that it is always like you have to figure out everything for yourself before we admit anything. Naruto should not trust anyone in the village at this point besides Hinata since everyone else has been keeping everything from him. The only thing she has kept from him is her feelings for him.

If you check the author which you can find in another comment the story is a work in progress with one more chapter out released on the 10th of January there is a chance it has been abandoned but it kind of looks like the author is just a slow writer
