Naoki's build was crazy. It was somehow both bulkier and more slender at the same time in places that needed to be, and still retained the feminine silhouette.
@@comradegunpla you said it! Also the shield being mostly light grey and the main body being mostly white is a chef's kiss. Bit-on form looks incredible.
This was very informative to see the thought process behind complicated seem line removals. I've only just started to dip my toes into this, so I really appreciate the explanations in your videos
I've done seam-line removal before, but not on the HG Aerial; it seemed pretty gnarly as far as seam-line removal goes! Getting in to the detail was great though, that's what I appreciate about your content. I'll also make sure to come back to this video if I ever want to re-proportion a kit's legs. On the topic of your usage of super glue, I actually bought the madworks black super glue after watching your content and it made a big difference in how fast I could get through seam-line removal compared to tamiya extra thin. I also use it to fix my (many) mistakes in scribing, so thanks! it's made a big difference for me. Great video, Keep em coming!
Excellent video and great tips. Was a bit baffled by these seams as the rest of the kit is so well designed. I found it easier to paint the inner parts first then mask and seal around them but i love checking out other slice n' dice methods. The proportion adjustment turned out great and a lot more natural looking than others I've seen that just extend the ankle peg. Looking forward to that glue video! I've tried the madworks high viscosity and the bob smith industries super thick (with berry scented activator) but I'd love some of that white glue for filling gaps. Also intrigued by using superglue/activator to seal seams, i've never thought of that. Thanks for another great informative video!
Yeah... The leg seams aren't great, especially because since they already had that knee mechanism, they totally could have come up with something better. This is pretty much the only one that's this bad in the entire WfM line too, at least out of the ones that I've got. Everything else on this kit is absolutely amazing though. Thanks for the kind words!
@@comradegunpla I agree! But how about those side of the leg seams on the Dilanza? 🤣 Not a kit I'm gonna build anyway. But yeah. The rest of the line is fantastic and I've really come to appreciate a lot of the designs I wasn't so hot on initially.
@@worldofequip The Dilanza legs would actually be infinitely easier to work with because they don't have interlocking parts, lol. It's just a matter of gluing and sanding. Not that it matters, I feel like everyone is only using the Dilanza for that one cut-up scene lmao
Great tutorial! This is an area I havent really gotten into because it is a bit intimidating but I feel a lot more confident about it after watching this. Thanks for taking the time to make it!
Glad that was helpful! I would say just start by copying someone's detailed build process on UA-cam and you'll eventually get the idea. It's a great step for getting familiar with sculpting techniques so you can move on to bigger modifications down the road.
Would definitely be interested in more info on the glues that you use. Right now I only use Loctite super glue which dries fast with activator but is too brittle for a lot of use cases and plastic cement which works well but takes too long to dry.
I think I know what you are talking about, is it the square peg hole on the clear part? I probably just didn't film that part so completely forgot to mention it during editing. Glad you figured it out!
@@comradegunpla Oh that too. I was referring to the circular thing in the middle of the frame. This is the first kit I'm trying to paint! Very exciting. Thanks for the videos!
you make it look easy to do🤯
Commie! Thanks for the trick, looking forward to the full review and eventual glue video
hell yeah, glue highlights! I wasn't really vibing with og Areal, but Naoki's build of FM is something else. Truly a Valkyrie

Glad to see another video from you and your channel. Stay strong. Thanks for the inspiration ⭐️

very helpfull tutorial! Thank you so much
Hg Gundvolva seam lines on the arm are stumping me right now.
Hmmm I think you left out something w.r.t. the thigh piece and how the frame fits in... Well I just had to cut off a bit more...

With all modification process it seems to me the kit would be a hand grenade with all the trimmings done.
Not sure if I’m reading it right, are you concerned with the sturdiness?
