While no mod is perfect, this one is a lot better than the ones you covered last year and I like how a developer decided to make an improved version of it. Doing the special zone model was the heaviest touch, I'd say making Sonic as versatile as ever was something I liked besides working on the special zone. I think its cool how the put a lot of the modern day sonic things into the classic realm not just sonic. The music from most of the modern games is cool to here too.

Growing up on the Genesis games, the sprite/animations are really well done. However, homing attack trivializes a lot of the enemy placement/level design, there's really no need for it to navigate 2D space. I don't see the point of the slide with the spin dash either but that's another option so no big. I do think the stomp is a cool addition. Hats off to the person or design team - great work!
Who cares what everyone says? If the game holds significant value to you, then no one can take that away from you! I actually enjoyed that song choice myself! 😁
I think you should've also used the Modern Sonic Sound Pack by TeamJojo1991 for a more modern-sounding experience. I mean, Modern OST, where's the modern sfx? There also exists a version of that mod for Sonic 3 A.I.R. by the same person.

Ehh. 6/10. No Tails. I'm kidding. This mod looks good. Glad to see people are still out there modding the game. But I don't understand why most Modernization mods only focus on Sonic and leave out his buds. Maybe that'll change once we get a 100% Sonic one. Once Sonic is all set and done, folks might try to work on someone not a Hedgehog (Sonic or Shadow mods).

Me too, there is some youtuber who managed to make it without custom sprites and a lightspeed dash, but its still far away from a semiperfect port, kinda wish we had the opportunity to have this, cuz we have all of the recources but no people want to do it, or atleast release it to the public

It's really cool how sonc runs similarly in lost world(figure 8) it's probably the only thing lost world did right everything else about lost world sucked but could be better I would love a more mature sonic team taking on a lost world 2 the same light hearted adventure maybe with some depth unlike the random jokes of original LW
