Is the baffle removable for repacking ? If so is the baffle held in place with threaded bolts or rivets ? To give it the extra length you're talking about you could've bought a car exhaust chrome end pipe and used it between the header pipe and muffler to extend the lengh It says on the sales information at the beginning of the video it's stainless steel, you're talking about it being chrome plated, if its stainless steel it would be polished not plated Stainless steel will usually turn to a sort of goldish colour when used Did it turn gold when used ?
Great questions. I think you’d have to remove the rivets to repack. Yes or any suitable tubing to extend the length. I’m guessing it’s chrome plated. I didn’t keep it installed long and went back to OEM. It doesn’t sound as good but may pull a tad stronger. Also really hard to beat a Harley Dyna muffler for sound.
@@someguitarguy. I've got an SR500 it usually has an Emgo 27 inch Dunstall style muffler with a removable baffle I also have a standard Harley Davidson Sportster muffle as a spare if I'm working on the other pipe The Harley pipe look fantastic but wipes 15 kilometres off the top speed and makes it sound like a Honda 90 step through
@@someguitarguy. .... I'm looking for a replacement for my Dunstall muffler, it's a bit rusty but I've done some modifications to it so I'm in no hurry and will probably get another muffler the same as Dunstall style muffler I have now and then do the same modifications to it But I have an aftermarket stainless steel header pipe and wouldn't mind finding a stainless steel muffler but I've been looking for one with a removable baffle for convenience when it comes to repacking it
