Multiple Alarm Fire on Valley Street in Maplewood, Several Smoke Inhalation Victims

Garden Apartment Complex Fire, Valley Street, Maplewood
Maplewood, NJ - A multiple-alarm fire at 747 Valley Street damaged an apartment on the lower level
of the south building, and caused a heavy smoke condition throughout the building
Two victims were removed from the building by firefighters. Both were transported to St Barnabas Medical Center by EMS for smoke inhalation.
Two firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries. One with smoke inhalation and the other with heat exhaustion.

Wow! I lived there for 24 years, right above where the fire was. Moved to Miami one year ago. Many on that side of the building have lived there a lifetime. I pray that Loretta apartment will be ok. She was there MANY YEARS before I moved in. God bless all!!!! 🙏

What ever happened to the Station near the pool in Maplewood, I remember they used to be quick responding to fires in other towns.
