If you ask me, it makes perfect sense to go before origins' story. I mean, there even is Darius' statue in Assassin's Creed 2 in the Monteriggioni Villa. They were trying to explain that there was this conflict between Templars and Assassin's even before the official creation of the brotherhood or the Templars order. There were people with the same ideology even before that. And I think this is what Odyssey wanted to show us on the story side. Now, I won't defend the gameplay. Though i enjoyed it, it was far from what Assassin's Creed was before.

I love Odyssey, but I always found it amusing every time you roasted it 😂 I understand where you’re coming from, as I miss the old AC games with real assassins so much. We don’t even know what happened with Desmond and I’m so lost. AC mirage trailer looks promising though and I’m glad you’re giving Odyssey more tries cause it’s still a good game. Should’ve been done under a different Ubisoft division maybe. AC 1 was the first game I ever pirated as a broke kid lmaoo
We know what happened with desmon. He was left in that weird simulation where you can see different futures to find a solution to the end of world. Then, at the end of valhalla layla joins him
@@docomega7862 yea but i feel like that’s just a vague easy way to cop out. It’s no where near the level of focus the original games had on the future storyline.
I look at Odyssey’s story like this: they wanted to set up Kassandra as a character who was “there the whole time” and slowly introduce her role in the race for various artifacts. I think she’ll will (should) show up in nearly every AC game going forward. That’s just how I see it :)
I prefer the older games but personally I feel like there is a way to merge the two styles of games , An Ac game with RPG elements can work without turning it unrecognizable
The mercenary system in this game is broken you could be doing a mission where you would be fighting someone and a mercenary would come by and try to kill you it very annoying
@I'll Be Back decent RPG but it could’ve been better, but I like immersion and Odyssey, although not good enough to be an AC, was actually enjoyable for me
In my opinion, odyssey is not really that good of an assassin’s creed game but it’s a very good Rpg Also thank you for being the best mentor assassin on UA-cam
I do think if Odyssey opened with a scene like: A war torn field upon dawn at its shoulders, with two sides unyielding to each others increasingly desperate attacks. The chants of thousands of soldiers can be heard marching towards them; they are about to die. The Spartans prepare their final rally to finish the battle once and for all, with Leonidas inspiring great hope in his remaining troops. With a final cry, the army surges towards the oncoming mass of soldiers. All that can be heard for miles are the screams of many men and metal clashing against metal. On a distant hill, a group of figures rise, their faint silhouettes guarded by hooded cloaks. They make their way down the hill in an agile, cat like fashion, the morning sun peaking over the horizon to reveal these mysterious adversaries. The assassins. They make their way to the battlefield in a graceful manner, slicing down any opposition with ease. Once they reach the main fight, the cinematic transitions fluidly to game play, with you controlling an assassin wielding dual hidden blades. Would've been much better for the game and set a drastically different tone
Honestly I don’t care what people say about Odyssey. I loved it way more than most of the other Ac games except Origins. Greek mythology and the Ancient Greek world is just amazing and you can easily avoid the grind by using a mod manager.
The grind made the game more fun. My friend gave up midway through chapter 7. I tried to tell him he was very close to the end but he didn’t want to do side quests to level up.
@@ravensfan1016 Yeah I feel like In a way the grind was fitting considering how you slowly turn into a Demi god just like in Greek mythology and the game being called „Odyssey“. Not sure if this was done intentionally though but in my head it is 🤣
when i play this game i just force myself to forget it’s an AC game and i love it. this game should have been its own entity, it feels like they wanted to make this game but were forced to make it an AC.
I prefer the color palettes of this game to Valhalla. And the side quests, merc system was fun in Odyssey. The only thing i like about valhalla was the inventory/weapon system.
Personally I think the mercenaries system in Odyssey is kinda broken because you can have them on your back pretty easily and one bad decision while clearing out a stronghold can cost you with a few of them attacking you. It's always a bit annoying when you have to fight the soldiers in a stronghold and deal with a mercenary (or mercenaries) at the same time. Other than that, I agree. Valhalla felt and looked kinda bland. It was a fun game but side activities were repetitive and the open world was quite boring because the middle-age England or Norway isn't as unique, as exotic as ancient Egypt or Greece. That's why the world in Odyssey is my favourite out of the entire series.
No matter what even if it’s not a good AC game it is insanely huge and every side mission choice has ripple effects and it’s not like Ubisoft can keep making the exact same game over and over or else they won’t sell anything
Hate when people complain about Odyssey not being about Assassins. The AC franchise is not about hoods, hidden blades and leaps of faith, all of which actually exist in Odyssey, nor is it about the Creed and the different brotherhoods... Odyssey contains more Isu and First Civilisation content out of all the AC games combined. Odyssey had by far the best rpg system, with actual abilities and a good leveling system. Better than Origins in every single way except for the story, which was actually pretty good. Bigger map than both Origins and Valhalla combined, the most beautiful visuals dare I say in the whole franchise and overall, if small minded people get past the fact that the game takes place before the creation of the Hidden Ones, the best new system game out of the 3. Valhalla is too long and grindy for no reason without a ship to navigate and it was repetitive af after 20 hours or so. Also, you can only tell apart the kingdoms by their different colors, other than that everything is the same. Weapons were just boring, fighting seemed like a chore and the DLC's were uninteresting at best except for Dawn of Ragnarok. Origins had the best story out of the 3, but the rpg system, due to it being the first one, was bad. There were no abilities, no ship, of course, to navigate and the weapons had literally the same playstyle. The DLC's were very good but not peak like they were in Odyssey. In Odyssey on the other hand, you got Naval gameplay that was actually amazing, a wide variety of Weapons, the biggest one in any AC game, the biggest amount of Customization after Unity, with imo the best armor sets I have ever seen in any game. You had a ship which you could actually hone and feel the difference, a quite good story filled with amazing characters, and in the main game there were 3 campaigns. The Atlantis, the Cult of Cosmos and the main story, excluding the best DLC's an AC game has ever gotten. The Legacy of the First Blade not only gave us the history behind the Hidden Blades, not only made another weapon of Adrestia available, it also intoduced a new cult and a new type of enemy with an exceptional final battle. Fate of Atlantis is peak content. It is the pinnacle of DLC's in any game. It is an example of how DLC's should be made. Related to the main game, beautiful scenery, actually meaningful story to the rest of the series, new content such as weapons and gear, amazing boss fights, a new intriguing type of enemies and not 1, but 3 new "realms". And, we can't forget the new ability enhancements which let to new playstyles, new fun ways to fight. If people stopped putting the Ezio trilogy first due to nostalgia and nostalgia only (on every other aspect every game that came after the Ezio trilogy was better) and for once matured, AC Odyssey would be one of the mose loved and appreciated games of the franchise.
Good to see another Dawn Of Ragnarok supporter. Many people seemed to criticise this DLC but it was really fun and the Svartalfheim was an amazing place to explore in comparison to The Wrath of The Druids or The Siege of Paris which were quite boring and could've been easily a part of the main story as their main quest is almost the same as invading any place in England.
I’ve been replaying odyssey and actually having a lot of fun I’ve been playing it as more of solo open world rpg and avoiding the assassins creed label of it. Makes the game 20x better
Hi, MasterAssassin! I personally am pretty excited for Mirage, but are you thinking about preordering? I might regret it, but I'm considering it. What do you think about it?
Origins one my favorite because Im Native North African egyptians are our cousins. Odyssey my second best ac game. i still Remember as 14 year old when ac 1 Came out back in 07-08. man time goes so fast.
Assassins Creed used to be like oh you’re a assassin with like a really bad backstory and stuff like that, but now they’re just like oh yeah, you’re a God with a hidden blade oh you’re a Viking with a hidden blade or you’re just a normal person with a hidden blade that’s what it is. It’s just you have a hidden blade. That’s all it used to be like so much better.
IF UBISOFT KEEPS RELEASING GAMES LIKE ODYSSEY AND ORIGINS STYLED I WILL BUY EVERY SINGLE ONE. And I’ll die in this hill. The only reason the franchise survived is because of origins. Odyssey is fit for a different type of player. And both are my favorite. Before these I hadn’t enjoyed an ac game since black flag and before that was brotherhood. Those two games gave us the future of ac. And with minor tweaks it’s gonna be amazing with new gen. Don’t fuck it up Ubisoft.
Yea that is sort of the problem of Odyssey: it is a really fun game but it just sits really awkwardly in the storyline. I really like it and have spend a lot of time in it, but in the back of my mind I'm considering it to be more of a 'inspired on AC' instead of it being part of the actual story. Like I was out of AC for some time, skipped Syndicate and Origins, and started with this. After some time, I was really just waiting for the assassins show up until I just went looking up on the internet about what was going on. The realisation that they didn't exist during Odyssey was a really weird one 😅
Well the DLC is better in my opinion because it gives good context to the Templars but other than that it’s not really an AC but I still think it’s a good game
I really enjoy odyssey along with Origins and Valhalla. I think they’re good games but they’re missing a lot of what make Assassin’s Creed what it is like stealth and blending in, Fun and intuitive parkour, and as beautifully detailed the massive open worlds are they’re just too big for an AC game which is why I prefer the open worlds that take place in one single city, but I still enjoyed the games and had a good time with them and I’m glad they’re returning to the roots of the franchise with mirage
whenever I played Valhalla and picked whatever its max difficulty was, I remember getting one shot spammed by arrows a goood few missions through the story. so idk what you mean by this being harder 💀 the detection was broken in Valhalla as well yup, that's part of the issue with one shotting archers.
I mean, I played it free from ps plus anyway, but that shit made me quit. 💀 I actually remembered, I'm pretty sure I dismantled or whatevered my shield or something bcs I was going dual wield, full assault. so I would've had to do a bunch of side stuff leaving that mission, or restarted so I said eh, it was fun, cya.

Don't follow why you were surprised about an obsidian eye, I don't know if anyone ever had one but plenty of people had glass eyes (and false teeth taking from the corpses of soldiers killed at Waterloo). Good video as well
That low solopisism at 5:18 is one hell of a coincidence I was watching death note literally right before I got the notification that you uploaded
Masterassasin is secretly developing a love for oddysey. Masterassasin is secretly developing a love for oddysey.
A good way I describe odyssey is that it’s not a great “assassins creed” game but it’s one of my favorite RPGs
They should make odyssey into there own series about other Time periods with little Easter eggs from other Ubisoft games
Master assassin saying "I like this" while playing demigod simulator just feels wrong
Love odyssey such an epic game
I know everyone has different opinions when it comes the new Assassin‘s Creed games with it being a RPG game but I like them all
I prefer the older games but personally I feel like there is a way to merge the two styles of games , An Ac game with RPG elements can work without turning it unrecognizable
@@coolguy8725odyssey perfected that. It has by far the most fun stealth of every ac game
The mercenary system in this game is broken you could be doing a mission where you would be fighting someone and a mercenary would come by and try to kill you it very annoying
The Deimos fight had a bear and 2 mercenaries
@@fat_baguette2140 really?
@@AxionGaming2139 yeah, it was practically unplayable, I had to load an earlier save and clear my bounty
Odyssey was my first ac game even though it’s not really an ac game it’s a really fun game by itself
I can't imagine the suffering and torture that Master Assassin was bestowed upon while playing this game full of heathenry.
I dont get why everyone is so biased, Odyssey is a great AC game and like 3% of the complaints are actually not negatively valid
@@Engille967 You have become a heathen, Engille. You have to repent your sins.
@@Engille967 you are obviously a bot
@@Engille967 I can actually bring up lots of valid points against the game tbh, It’s not that hard.
I love the game!
The video may have ended at 19:06 but you can tell he was dead inside at the main menu
Na it ended at 5:37
If you don’t kill the bandits at the beginning they ambush you if you go down the road
Master always comes back to where he was happy... Best Anthology game ever
Same, love Odyssey, put in over 220 hours this summer in my 3rd playthrough.
@I'll Be Back decent RPG but it could’ve been better, but I like immersion and Odyssey, although not good enough to be an AC, was actually enjoyable for me
In my opinion, odyssey is not really that good of an assassin’s creed game but it’s a very good Rpg
Also thank you for being the best mentor assassin on UA-cam
I do think if Odyssey opened with a scene like:
A war torn field upon dawn at its shoulders, with two sides unyielding to each others increasingly desperate attacks.
Would've been much better for the game and set a drastically different tone
bro u gotta do a series for this its too funny
I come to this channel for enjoying some snacks and watching some odyssey
. Pls more I’m hungry
imagine he will die before leaving the kefalonia
it's surprisingly easy to die in combat if you're not paying attention actually
Not really at most archers are announcing but as long as you have them in your peripheral your fine.
Honestly I don’t care what people say about Odyssey. I loved it way more than most of the other Ac games except Origins.
Greek mythology and the Ancient Greek world is just amazing and you can easily avoid the grind by using a mod manager.
Based
The grind made the game more fun.
Not sure if this was done intentionally though but in my head it is 🤣
One of the biggest frauds this game committed is being a greek game and NOT letting you use shields.
Nobody gives a fuck about your scams bro
5:46 Master Assassin, you dying did happen!!! IT DID HAPPEN!!!...🤣🤣🤣🤣
First Ac game was freedom cry, but odyssey was what really made me play the other assassins creed games
If you didn’t tell someone this was assassins creed then even after fully completing the game they still wouldn’t know
What do you mean, it looks like an assassin creed game, have you seen the stealth?
About the obsidian eye, I don't think the cyclops wears it, but just has it as a personal treasure.
when i play this game i just force myself to forget it’s an AC game and i love it. this game should have been its own entity, it feels like they wanted to make this game but were forced to make it an AC.
Waiting for a complete walkthrough... 😉
What's this? Master coming around to Odyssey? Let's go
I prefer the color palettes of this game to Valhalla.
Honestly if I had to do this I would just jump off a cliff as soon as possible.
I’ve been replaying odyssey and actually having a lot of fun I’ve been playing it as more of solo open world rpg and avoiding the assassins creed label of it. Makes the game 20x better
If AC Odyssey show us origins of the Order of Ancients the game would be much more interasting
Hi, MasterAssassin! I personally am pretty excited for Mirage, but are you thinking about preordering? I might regret it, but I'm considering it. What do you think about it?
Dont do it before actual gameplay showcase.
I’m gonna wait until they show gameplay but I’m thinking about preordering too.. depends what the bonus is
@ashy True, true.
@ashy agree never preording after valhalla fail
Origins one my favorite because Im Native North African egyptians are our cousins. Odyssey my second best ac game. i still Remember as 14 year old when ac 1 Came out back in 07-08. man time goes so fast.
Master assasin playing odyssey?! What the fuck
Kurush guy with Lagetha axe from valhalla. U Bi Soft, Me Bi Hard
Playing with spears is funny in this game. You hit the enemies just right they fly away
you should do a who's the best equiped assassin video, like ranking the gear they use
I been waiting for ages
I think if this game was released with a different title, not assassins creed, it would be loved by most people.
I think Odyssey would be higher on everyone’s list, if they just give the option for instant assassinations like Valhalla
Your videos are a lot of fun I really enjoy them keep it up!
Waiting for ac syndicate's review video
IF UBISOFT KEEPS RELEASING GAMES LIKE ODYSSEY AND ORIGINS STYLED I WILL BUY EVERY SINGLE ONE. And I’ll die in this hill. The only reason the franchise survived is because of origins. Odyssey is fit for a different type of player. And both are my favorite. Before these I hadn’t enjoyed an ac game since black flag and before that was brotherhood. Those two games gave us the future of ac. And with minor tweaks it’s gonna be amazing with new gen. Don’t fuck it up Ubisoft.
Same here...enjoyed ODYSSEY 3000h...ORIGINS 1400h...but valhalla was made in rush
I was just starting to play in happy there r still some uploads about this game
Kassadra is the grandmother to Bayek Play the dlc legacy of the first blade great vid btw ❤
A man of his word
leonidas : telling a speech for sparta
kratos : pathetic
I thought it was going to be a joke video where you just choose to die at the very beginning lol
Greatest video game ever created in the history of gaming.
Nice joke
You see now your gassing it 😂
Well the DLC is better in my opinion because it gives good context to the Templars but other than that it’s not really an AC but I still think it’s a good game
14:55 imo Valhalla was more of the origin story to the templars
I would have died as soon as possible and call that a wrap
odyssey is so good n when I was playing it I was like no way this isn't AC ... but its such a good and pretty game gisnjdfklms
I also studied Ancient Egypt and Greece too
All i can say about this game is that i wasn't dissapointed. Also im so keen for AC mirage.
i bet having a 2nd chance was for the mid roll ads 💀💀💀
Do It with other AC games in chromological order, next would be origins
I really enjoy odyssey along with Origins and Valhalla. I think they’re good games but they’re missing a lot of what make Assassin’s Creed what it is like stealth and blending in, Fun and intuitive parkour, and as beautifully detailed the massive open worlds are they’re just too big for an AC game which is why I prefer the open worlds that take place in one single city, but I still enjoyed the games and had a good time with them and I’m glad they’re returning to the roots of the franchise with mirage
Yeaahhhhhhhh love u bro
whenever I played Valhalla and picked whatever its max difficulty was, I remember getting one shot spammed by arrows a goood few missions through the story.
so idk what you mean by this being harder 💀 the detection was broken in Valhalla as well yup, that's part of the issue with one shotting archers.
I mean, I played it free from ps plus anyway, but that shit made me quit. 💀
I actually remembered, I'm pretty sure I dismantled or whatevered my shield or something bcs I was going dual wield, full assault.
so I would've had to do a bunch of side stuff leaving that mission, or restarted so I said eh, it was fun, cya.
you don't even get one shot as a deprived in any from soft game I'm pretty sure, beside maybe like ds1-2.
I love Odyssey and I will be honest because I am a HUGE Greek Mythology fan😁 I agree though if it were just called "Odyssey" and did not have Assassins Creed attached to it, it might not have gotten the hate it did. Anyways, I am playing this on my XBOX since Ubisoft had a sale and loving every minute of it👍
The beginning looks like the movie 300
Lol I like your honesty
For some reason my stupid ten year old self played this assassins creed before any other
This challenge is fun to watch with you
