I had the same issue with the hose clamps being hard to maneuver in the engine bay. I was able to clamp them with a vice grip (on a table before install) and then zip tie them open. Just shove it on and cut the ties and they’ll hold fine.

I did mine a few days ago. From Oreillys. Bottom hose was too long.Cut 2" off. Still a pain in the ass. Won't do it again.
