How is a horse placed in 1D vs2D etc classifications and can a horse move from one classification to another such as Dupe placed in 4D. Could she move up in classifications as she continues training. Do you always compete 1D because of your experience even if on a new horse?
It’s just based on the the time 1st in the 1d is first overall and the fastest time ran. First in the 2d is .5 seconds slower than the 1d. So If babyflo ran a 17.4 then the 2d time is a 17.9. Then 3D is .5 seconds slower than the 2d ect.
Fallon Taylor Thank you! How do you know a horse has that ability to be a top contender when you begin training? I enjoy your vlogs. Not a racer myself but still find them entertaining and inspirational. I appreciate Dupe’s story line and the kill pen rescue. There are so many horses that have potential to have a productive life out there!
