Ann is like fire with that red dress while Celeste (MUP winner) is water with her blue dress when she won. I love the contrast. Both are deserving to compete in Miss Universe.

Opal's dress is inspired by Amelia Vega's evening dress in 2003.
Fun fact: Opal was born in 2003 and she is now 18 years old, like the same age of Amelia Vega when she competed back in 2003.

Anna and Nicolene, the top two next to each other during the opening number. The last time I remember that was at Miss World 2003 when Rossana Davison and Nazanin Afshin Jam were next to each other in the opening number.

I must admit that I was a bit disappointed that my best bet 'Eye' did not win and thought that Anna was not Thai/Asian looking enough. But after having heard about her background and upbringing, I was in awe and I now can see why MUT thought that she would be deserving winner. Congrats, Anna! I think that you'll do great in MU.

Anna grandma from father side is German. Then again people always say “ Pure Thai “ no such thing as pure blood that perhaps 500-1000 years ago…. Thai’s are mixed with many Asean and south Asian and East Asian and in the 1300-1700 Portuguese Iranian other European settlers in thailand. There is still a Portuguese settlement in Ayuthaya sitting there as a museum. Ancient king made all foreigners to changed their surname to Thais, so future generations can unite as one. But last 50-100 years more migration from other Asian countries and the Chinese are still trying to migrate in. Also last 30-50 years more American & European making thailand their home.

My favourite MUT this year from the prelims to the final was Eye (MUT18) she is pretty, fierce, dinamic and she had Miss Universe material. I hope she doesn't just settle for a 2nd runner-up, and that she applies for the next edition next year, if she keeps the same approach and works her language she could win.

Probably only the gay mamas of these two girls are bullying one another. You know they do get obsessed and they called their candidates their daughter. Thai gays, will attacked back if their girl is attacked first. And news in their country stated Filipinos went after Anna just right after she got crowned so all her gay mamma got pissed and fired back …. But now Indonesian are being attacked by Fil for copying Catriona.
