But I still remember sliding my fingernail accross the cellophane to open them up. Sitting in my bedroom making tapes from all the b-sides and outtakes/cover songs. We were all very fortunate to grow up back then.

@@ihaverabies17 Yeah it's a very different world now. Back then you couldn't even use a band's image on a poster without paying them. (You can see footage of Axl Rose freaking out when a fan takes a picture of him from the crowd, jumps off stage to get the camera off him). Those bands would have been stunned to learn one day their tunes would be free to hear for anyone with internet. We'd sometimes sit by the radio trying to catch our fav bands getting played so we could tape it off the radio & onto a casette.

I believe you're right, he was playing a Twin Reverb at this point. if I remember correctly, he borrowed Jack Endinos to record Bleach and loved the sound.
