Hemdrix did that too. i guess a left handed guitar was a rarity back then.? that and kurt was still amaznlllngly broke during this time.
Jeremy Fischer it's because most guitarists are right handed. Most lefty guitars had to either be specially made or ordered. Also, right handed guitars were more affordable because they weren't as rare, so often they would just take a right handed guitar and switch out the nut and strings for a lefty player.
Kurt was poor. So basically any guitar would be fine for him, and it's hard to find lefty ones and they are usually expensive

Well I have basically all of Nirvana on my computer, physical albums I have are nevermind, bleach, and incesticide on CD and on vinyl I got Cigarette Burns and Unplugged. I'll definitely look into finding this Hormoaning on vinyl if it exists :)

I believe it was a guitar from a different band that he borrowed because his was either really shit or broken, because they loved breaking their shit. It looks like a mudhoney guitar because they loved hagstrom guitars. They flipped the nut, and restrung the guitar left handed so Kurt could play it. Yes he is right handed but he didnt learn guitar upside down, he learned it the correct way, just a righty guitar restrung lefty.
Im a lefty and play righty, i wish i could switch to left handed, and be more different but its way too hard to learn, i tried for a few months, couldnt do it.

So many great songs from kurt! If only he'd continued on past in utero. I've heard his demos post that album & i really liked the direction he was headed. There will nvr be another band as big and good as nirvana was/is. Blame the internet, whatever. I just don't see a rock band coming up, playing & writing music that revolutionary & nvr sacrificing their integrity. Bands like that came before nirvana (ie the beatles, van halen etc) but nothing came after. Kids nowadays have instant gratification & access. They want the fame & money. Thats the difference. Obviously this is just my one worthless opinion, but i feel strongly about it. Can you really get behind a Taylor Swift? Is Lil Yachty or Drake really making music that will inspire future artists to make incredible music? Will there be another punk style movement or a seattle grunge scene? I srsly doubt it. You can't even call them musicians. Their popularity is due to the lack of anything better existing. What a shame.
