Mr. Incredible Becoming Uncanny - Black Metal

- PLEASE STOP ASKING ME WHY EMIT ISN'T IN THE VIDEO ! I watched a lot of My Uncanny memes on Metal/Black Metal and almost half of theses had Emit on the last tier, so that would be very redundant and uninteresting to include them. I like Emit a lot tho
Mr. Incredible listens to black metal, but it becomes darker and weirder.
All the names of the bands, tracks and albums are in the pinned comment. Enjoy !

I want to believe
Bold of you to start a Kvelertak. I mean, you could have started at Dimmu Borgir, which is black metal for people who actually do not want to listen to black metal. (I admit, however, that the orchestral Version of "Dimmu Borgir" by Dimmu Borgir was solid.)

Hello SpongeBob
Careful, SpongeBob! _Careful, SpongeBob!_ *CAREFUL, SPONGEBOOOOOOOOBBBBB!!!*

I just love how every band chose something straight out of their worst nightmares for their cover art, and then there's Deafheaven
And then there's murmuure...
Well, what do you expect from Shoegaze?
@@larrikinlancer685 *blackgaze
I love how they just went "Well the trve kvlt crowd are going to hate our sound anyway so lets make a cover thats going to piss them off as much as possible"
And then there’s Gnaw Their Tongues having a seemingly normal looking album cover
Finally a good uncanny video by someone who actually listens to black metal
Wait people actually listen to this shit?
@@hannesgreen638 Taste in music is subjective.
@@Strangled_Elmo it's a joke, don't take it too seriously
This but unironically
The good music bro
I love how the production slowly gets worse as the list goes on
It's not trve kvlt if it has production and masteting.
that's what's so silly about these bands, if you don't respect your music enough to have top of the line mastering and production, why produce at all?
@@ArthaxtaDaVince777 Because top of the line production and quality is not the point. For some of these bands it's almost like a dark performance art, and shitty production plays into that. In some cases, the fact that this is self-made and self-produced, in whatever quality, shows they take their own music more seriously than someone who records their parts and ships it off for someone else to deal with. It's all subjective.
@@ArthaxtaDaVince777 Because an artist's creative output shouldn't have to be limited by whether or not their work sounds crisp and clean. Say what you want about the sound (I personally think a lot of black metal bands sound like shit, and not just because of their production), but if they're making a stylistic choice to sound like they recorded their music with a jackoff sock, then that's their prerogative as artists.
Never knew mr incredible had such good taste
Gnaw Their Tongues was legitimately scary as hell sounding. Kudos!
their collab album with Dragged Into Sunlight is the most evil shit ive ever heard, while simultaneously grooving hard the entire time
@@sloppysorabji I NEED to know the name of this. That sounds dope lol
@@Hadalium it's called N.V. Good shit. My favourite was Visceral repulsion.
Gnaw Their Tongues has some really dope music. But their most interesting piece must be the Issei Sagawa-EP. It's basically just two songs, dedicated to an infamous Japanese killer cannibal (whose name is the EP's title) who murdered a french university student whilst he was studying there. He then proceeded to perform a mixture of necrophilic deeds on her body, including eating the parts of her that he was sexually attracted to, including her genitals, lips, breasts and buttocks. I once saw the police image of her butchered body... Yeah, it's very much NSFL.
The worst part? Due to a legal technicality he was declared incompetent to stand trial due to insanity in France, deported to Japan, where they basically bungled his entire case, leading him to get away scot free. In fact, he remains free to this day, and even became something of a local celebrity in Japan, appearing in several documentaries, and even a porn film. It's a fascinating but highly disturbing case. He's claimed that he wants to kill and eat someone again, but given that he's basically close to his 60's at this point, I thankfully doubt he'll get to fulfill that desire.
The EP is up here on UA-cam, if you're curious: ua-cam.com/video/fmn2LX2_D2s/v-deo.html

Ulver's last black metal album is a frostbitten gem.
Also, another good black metal artist that brings into the uncanny territory is La Torture des Ténèbres. It just a barrage of black metal, dark ambient, and noise that may turn off on some people, but it gained a following that liked this chaotic, haunting sound.
La Torture des Ténèbres is noisy as fuck
but I need to dig more this band
Ulver is pretty underrated
Hot take: Martens Madrigal is mediocre and their best album is easily The Assassination of Julius Cesar
@@greatcoldemptiness For me, Ulver's non-black metal albums (as you mentioned T.A.o.J.C.) are either good or not (depending on those albums). Shadows of the Sun is pretty much my favorite non-black metal album from Ulver.

Pensees nocturnes, tremenda banda.
Tremenda banda no es, es una bandototota Pensées Nocturnes.
Dictius Te Necare imo has the best vocals out of all BM. It's also my fav album of all time for a reason
What makes it better is that it's a 'in your face' album, the moment you click on the first song and Rainer Landfermann's vocals pierce your ears, you're hooked until the end.
They’re too campy for me. It’s one of the reasons I prefer Dark Metal to Dictius Te Necare (the other being the more consistent track list).
@@nicoloenricorimoldi7425 how are they campy? Nobody has done vocals like him ever since. And nobody was doing them before him.
@@n.a31214 The vocals are so exaggerated they become kitschy. Landfermann screams at the top of his lungs (in German) and it’s supposed to be sorrowful but it only comes off as ridiculous.
It still works in the context of the record and it makes it more “extreme” than the debut, but I prefer the “regular” low/high growls with whispered sections of the first album.
It is a masterpiece. The fact the vocals are in German makes me like them even more.
Love to see Pensees Nocturnes

Murmuure 🤘
Great taste
watching this in a church lmao
I personally think the last few don't count as music to me anymore
It's weird that none of these ever get that unlistenable.
I've been watching a lot of these uncanny metal vids and, as a non-metal person (I like a few songs here and there that most of you would laugh at). But I am genuinely interested in the really dark/noise/grindcore stuff as in what kind of people listen to it? Do people actually sit with headphones on and chill to it? What are the "scenes" and the gigs like?
I'm a musician and truly appreciate art and the idea of taking art to extremes, which is what I think some of these projects must be about. But, at the same time, a person who actually listens to Gnaw Their Tongues in the same way I listen to Pixies or Radiohead or something, it seems to me that they might be quite disturbed people. Maybe this one person would be a perfectly normal, perfectly functioning person, but what about a room full of them? What kind of atmosphere is there at a Gnaw Their Tongues gig? Are people using drugs recreationally and, if so, which ones? Say there's 30 people in attendance (could be way less or way more for all I know), surely there are going to be some very unstable people there?
This is a point of fascination for me. The whole satanic panic of the 80s and 90s that came about with music that seems incredibly tame - even the metal (i.e. at those Congress hearings in America, no one was talking about Burzum - they were talking about very tame, very easygoing metal when compared the stuff I'm talking about. They were even talking about Prince's music). A lot of the bands in the lower depths of this rabbit hole are actually into some very strange, possibly violent, occult practise. The O9A (Google it for those that don't know) are the real deal when it comes to a heavy mix of Satanism/neo-Nazism and they make Burzum seem like a bunch of edgy teens.
Anyway I know I'll probs get some silly comments but any insight into these scenes and the kinds of people that make and/or enjoy this music would be greatly appreciated. No judgement, I'm just genuinely curious as to how someone purchases a Gnaw Their Tongues record, gets their evening set up and has it on in the background. Do they have it on during the ride to and from work? Whilst doing the washing up after dinner? Are they chilling with their girlfriend? Do they even have girlfriends? Do many women even listen to this kind of thing (this I highly doubt)?
Most extreme metal shows are pretty chill. There's strict unspoken rules in the room, for example if you hit someone with the intent of hurting them, you'll be kicked out of the pit. If you like the music, it's great fun. Most extreme metalheads can be outcasts but generally nice. Me personally, I got bullied a lot and extreme music was my refuge for a bit, and it stuck with me. Now it can be energizing or relaxing, depending on what i listen to. No weird listening situations, i put on my headphones on the bus or while studying. Maybe sometimes i use to get a boost during the gym, that's the extent of it.
Noise and non-music can get a bit more pretentious, or not pretentious at all. I still have to go to a good amount of live shows (got into noise during the pandemic sigh) but most people i interacted with see it as a fun and expressive way to make sounds. Picture Jackson Pollock, but in sound form.
Girl that's how I feel about hiphop 🤷♀️ different people different tastes
i'm a woman and i rarely find other ladies in these kinda spaces sadly, as to why i like the music, gnaw their tongues puts me in a trance and i get lost in it, it's like navigating a sewer of sounds, of couse i have to be in the mood and mental capacity for that cause it's not something i throw on for the hell of it
If you make part two, you might want to add Emit, Blut Aus Nord, Pseudogod, Yxxan, Goat piss etc.
I will maybe make a part two, but with only obscure stuff.
Surprised Murmuüre was so low. I never really thought of them as that inaccessible (for black metal standards at least)
Amethyst by murmuure is actually a very good song. Give it a listen

Ok maybe you guys can help me out.
I am searching for a Black Metal /Doom Metal band.
I listened to them a few years ago but I forgot their name before I bought an album of them.
I think it was a solo project and the vocalist was always wearing a black robe and a creepy mask.
The songs were slow and raw but had some good rhythm in them.
The vocalist also said that all the lyrics were inspired by his nightmares.
This band was just really dark and creepy overall.
I remember one album cover.
It was a photo of an old ramshackle shed in the woods and the vocalist was kinda watching the viewer through the window. (Or he was standing next to the shed. idk anymore)
The album cover was in not black and white like most black metal album covers. It was in full colour.
I hope someone can help me out here.
That sounds like a hell of a band. Also, I've always thought about this idea of basically describing your nightmares through Black Metal. Had some rough nightmares myself, especially when I was younger but the more time passes the more I forget the details or even the nightmares themselves... Wish I wrote/drew them down.
