I would just suggest putting everything on the scale, but if we do the math. iPhone 14 pro weighs about 240 grams and the DJI mic transmitter is 28 grams. That’s 268. You’re good. It should support it.
Omg! Finally a tutorial that makes sense. I’m tech challenged and I didn’t understand that you must go through the app to use this. Duh on my part. Thanks!
Thank you bro. I bought the SE and it looked so simple online lol. Opened the box and felt so stupid lmfao. I have a much better understanding now cause of this vid
Maybe a bit dumb Q but I could not find any video showing this... Is there any way of making movement points that OM6 will follow and take a video instead of time lapse? It seems silly But that is really great feature if we want to film from point A to Point B without touching camera! I hope there is a way since I didn see that feature on any gimbal out there....
@@YoungChangGaming well that’s great! Why no one is demonstrating this… does it need to be done while using their app or could it be done manually on the gimbal while use other recording apps?
@Cor Validum I'm not sure why no one is covering it, but you need to be in the mimo app. You can use the joystick to move to the points, but you still need to click a button in the app to register that point.
Hello. Would you kindly comment on the following review, and if you have remedies for the issue raised: “I bought this as an upgrade from the OM4, but when you align your phone (iPhone 13 Pro) properly in the clamp and set the camera to ultra wide view you will see the arm of the gimbal in the bottom of the frame. It is also pretty annoying to have to remove the clamp to collapse the gimbal compared to the OM4 where it stays on. That just gives you one more piece of gear to keep track of. Overall it works well and I like the different modes, but I think I will stick to the OM4 for now.”
Great video thanks for sharing 👍 you haven't mentioned if you can go Live on UA-cam with this gimbal, do you need to have mimo running to use this or can I use UA-cam app
Hello, thank you for the 'how to'. do you think it is more suited for left-handed folks? I cannot reach around to the zoom button. this causes erratic handling and results.
I find that I cannot pan forward, moving along just above the ground. Let’s say if I want to hold the phone in landscape mode horizontally about a foot off the ground and moving forward, the gimbal will not turn the camera upward in that direction upward enough. Am I doing something wrong?
They are using the same lenses so it should be the same quality. I think the dji app just has more features and modes. I’m curious about this as well and mine will be here Monday
A UA-cam video appeared a couple of days ago from one of the regular video channels - won't name him here - who is usually very good. But he criticized the OM6 big time, mainly for those who (like me) shoot mainly in landscape mode. He made the point that the OM6 won't do the high-to-low sweep in landscape mode as it has insufficient tilt range. The phone flaps around on the end of the gimbal. I have one on order, so that is a concern. Have you tried that movement - a very basic typical gimbal move? I think if you just search UA-cam for 'DJI OM6 what nobody tells you' and look in the last few days, you'll find the one I'm talking about.
@@Roll4initiatives yeah that was the one i chose. Much more expensive, but more futureproof as it can hold heavier rigs as well so if you ever upgrade to a mirrorless then no problem. Drawback is the lower portability however. its chunky compared to the DJI.
The OM5 which has the same weight rating failed often (fell over) when using an iPhone 13 Pro Max...I wonder if they improved the motors or fixed this on the OM6
I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max. My biggest concern was the same, I bought the OM6 and left my case and no issues even added an micro sd adapter with card in it and again no issue, but limited in room movement… :)
Why don’t you recommend a cell case ? I’m scare to damage my phone and weight is not an issue for me. But how does it affect my actual footage or hardware ?? Thanks
What's a good choice for a case for an iPhone 14 Pro Max that is compatible with this gimbal, and also supports wireless charging? Amazon links would be appreciated.
Nice video!! Any suggestions to get the "Quick Launch" to actually work? Just got the osmo 6 and followed all the instructions for the mimo app and iphone settings.
I kept my magnet for the Osmo 3. It is fun to attach my phone to my car when I am filling up. 🤣 It is also nice to go in a store and have my phone sit in the shopping cart magnetized to the cart.
Hi, I I just received my DJI OSMO 6, and this video was very helpful. Thank you. One thing I didn't get is: what is supposed to happen when you "hold down" the "record button"? You get a "burst"? Sorry, I couldn't get that. I tried it, but nothing happened on my end. : (
In modes. I understand the first and fourth modes but don’t see much difference between the second and third. Please help with when to use and what they do. Thanks.
If I'm using a mic other than the DJI mic - I have a rode wireless go - what's the best way to attach it without getting in the way of gimbal? I've considered velcro or something, but i'm not sure.
How do you connect a wireless mic if the mic does not have a lighting connecter? I am struggling to find a good option since the mics that come with lightning connector are of low quality. Also, I am not sure if we can attach a receiver using adapter cable etc. thanks
Are you intermittently slowing down the footage or is the audio just distorted here and there hah? It sometimes sounds like you are adding a slow motion vibe to your audio and video.
One issue with this gimbal is the tilt range - even in PF mode (i.e. tilt lock mode), when. you've moved too far in angle, the tilt kicks in messing up the verticals. I still have my OM6 but haven't been able to use it much as a real estate videographer. Looking for other options out there to be honest if anyone knows a better gimbal which is just as compact.
I bought the OSMO 6 a few months ago, and I am really struggling to use it. It just constantly moves in all directions, making it impossible to do any decent video recording. Holding the key in the back stops it from moving, but it makes video footage very erratic, as I need to constantly release the key to re-put my subject in the center, then hold it again. The Active Track is a nightmare to use, it makes the gimbal constantly shaking to keep the subject in sight. So frustrating to use, I find myself going back to record videos with my own hands and get better results. I am starting to believe that the gimbal is a defect. Things get worse when I attach the DJI Mic receiver to my smartphone, as the gimbal is constantly unbalanced. If I move the smartphone to take into account the extra weight of the receiver, the gimbal complains the phone isn't centered. If I center the phone back as if it does not have the receiver, the latter then bumps into the gimbal arm. It drives me crazy that DJI didn't think about a better way to support the DJI mic.
Would it handle a FoldZ4? :Djust bought mine Om6 and not very happy with it as it has limited moves --' it doesn't move as it should be for a gimbal, it's ridiculous.
Does it work fine with 14 pro max + mic? Or it could handle only regular pro with microphone receiver attached?
I would just suggest putting everything on the scale, but if we do the math.

The way they added this sublte details on the Osmo Mobile 6 but makes the user experience much more fuss-free is brilliant. Nice touch right there.
i have watched like 10 osmo 6 vids and this one is the best so far explaining every single feature top to bottom. thanks for the vid
well done, probably the most accurate vlog regarding use and functionality of the OM6
Just received dji 6 as an anniv present from my hubs and currently learning tricks from you! This is amazing !!!!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I needed these tips for my Osmo Mobile 6. Loving how fast and convenient this gimbal is.

Great review, just got my OM 6 and nice to see the detailed features, such a cool device/app.
Got some neat tips and tricks right here. Going to make the most out of my OM6. Definitely elevates my footage. Overall, an awesome tool!
Excellent job! Very helpful and we'll explained. Thank you.
You are welcome!
Nice! I need this for my first DJI gimbal.
Thanks for the tutorial. Just went out and got one!

How fast is the tracking arm? Does it tilt if you are moving up & down?
