When i first started van life i build a stealth camper van with the mindset the you had to live a stealth van life and i soon discovered that you can just live the city van life and boondock in the countryside and as long as you are respectful of the backcountry and cities you live in. I'm doing the same with the shower setup. I have a dedicated 10 gallon piquet bucket mounted on the wall, set on a shelf at the back inside the van with a food grade tube with a valve, from a pvc pipe routed from a set of tubes on the roof originally used to store pipes (my van was formally a plumbing fleet van) I'm using to collect rainwater. I can remove the shower bucket, fill it up, disinfect the water with a teaspoon of bleach and set the shower feed into the bucket. Add an immersion heater for a hot shower and a huka hoop to hang up the shower curtain from the rear hatch doors, I set up a foldable dog wash pool to stand in,and route the run off with a hose tube out the side into the nearby bush. Leaves no mess and no one can roll up and see me shower 👍🏾

I usually watch my YT on my phone but tonight I used my small computer and my beat headphones. Wow wow your background music was the greatest sound. Enjoyed it so much!!!!! the video content great too. Never realized what I was missing till now.
While traveling from Alaska to Colorado.. I stopped at the Heritage Site.. Nice and peaceful there. I took a short nap, before getting on the road again. My dog enjoyed stretching her legs there as well.
With every addition to the van,it adds some versatility and more uniqueness to it...

And a 2 seater so one is composting while the other is in use... Plenty of sawdust or similar after each use so it's awful but not horrid.
I've used that same shower pump/sprayer when my hot water heater went out....I used a five gallon bucket...it was enough for me, and when I had to wash my very long hair I just had a second bucket near. I fed the water back into the bucket while sudsing up to make it last...loved it and can't wait to use it again camping or maybe one day vanlife!

It's the small things in life that keep us going. That "old" town is amazing. Very cool place and if it makes you feel any better, that did look like a fire truck. Chrome, this old lady made those same shutters (in black) for the 2 sides of my red brick house that shows to the public: front and garage side. Also hung a pretty curtain in the garage window.
Whoa!! How awesome!... My papaw told me that back in the day.. You were put in ranges of how much you were worth... and it went by your outhouse lol... If you had 1 hole you were poor, 2 holes meant you were well off, 3 meant you were rich... lol..... Man that is beautiful!

My father in-law was Bornean 100 mile house. The homestead pictures look similar to the place you were filming. He was a chuck wagon racer in the Calgary stampede. Thanks again for sharing
That’s my setup for a shower too. Usually takes about 20% water heated to boil & it’s a hot shower. And leave shower head in bucket to recycle water when soaping up. And that last bit is great soaker isn’t it.
Loved the trappers cabin with the Hudson's Bay blanket on the bed. Also noticed several scrub boards beside the bed.
