love this. I'd love to see you work with our decks and see if they make it to your list. We have 19 so far. thanks for all you do. Love your deck talks!!!
Love this, would it possible for you to post this a a list? I didn’t even know about Hilda tarot and I’ve loved her forever. Unfortunately it’s out of print.
OMGoddess! Thank you Lisa ! Such an amazing list…. and what a thrill to see Goddess on Earth ORACLE amongst the other spectacular Wowza decks. Thank you!!!🙏
Enjoyed watching you rank all your decks for the year! You are always coming up with great ideas for videos. Now you've got me thinking about where I would place my own decks.
I really like the visual chart organizer you used!!! Also nice to see this in a visual way to help you look at which decks may be re-homed or maybe the choices and how you got to the purchase of the deck. I think there will always be decks that you think will be great and then for whatever reason, card stock, lack of satisfaction with the images, or just doesn't fit you or your needs and you end up re-homing the deck.
So happy to see The Gentle Tarot land in the Wowza category. I stumbled onto it and Mari at the Alaska State Fair and totally fell in love with the artwork. I’ve been playing tarot for a few years but this is the deck that’s truly gotten me interested in learning more.
OMG! This video was so good! I am always wondering how decks play out with people over time. You do a great job of letting us know in some of your other videos but I think the concept of this video was a wonderful idea to just kinda put them all in one place! Thanks!
Gorgeous video! I love hearing your perspective and wrap-up on why decks did or didn't work. It looks like several decks didn't make it into the video description; the 'nope' decks (Chakra Healing tarot, Space tarot, etc), the Chubby Bun oracle, the Cute Little Lenormand, maybe others.
Yes, to create the list I used my spreadsheet which only includes decks currently 'in' my collection (and obviously is a little out of date - oops LOL).
Wow .. I am surprised you don't feel overwhelmed with that many decks. I truly would be. Since I only returned practicing by May this year .. I still missed a lot of these decks coming out or being talked about :) .. I won't lie .. this video was so hard to keep track with early in the morning especially since I don't get coffee. Congratulations on having the tarot of Delphi .. that's a gorgeous deck! It's been on my wishlist for years too but it is more of a deck I wish I could have not actively seeking to :) Also, this video didn't feel as 44min .. you went fast through these decks! I am not surprised many of these flipped because if all of these came in one year .. this is too much content! But it is good because that means, there is a deck for any personality :) .. I also blame allergies though because I started watching this video with a foggy head. I am sure going to look at it again to look at all these decks I don't know about or didn't ever consider :D .. you k now, nothing is better than window shopping :)
This was so much fun! (and made me nervous once I realized my deck is gonna be on the list XD but I'm so happy you're enjoying it still. ♥) Can't wait for everyone to do this next year XDD You started something for sure!
Wow! One vowel really makes a lot of difference... Hey I have a little bit of dyslexia and while scrolling down on youtube your title (the one I read) really made me stop for a second. Thanks for giving me a chuckle, just clicked on the video to post this comment.
Really cool to hear your review of your 2021 decks after you've had a chance to work with them for awhile. My surprise Wowza deck of 2021 was The Future Ancestor Tarot. It has blown me away, and also become a workhorse deck doing readings for others. And my Reclaim Oracle as well.
This was SUPER fun and as always I am amazed by your organization and ability to remember ALL the things. I honestly couldnt tell you all the decks I got in the past year. That would take some work. LOL
Love this wrap up! I've seen this tier system used in Sims videos all the time (and a bit in fandom) so I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it brought into a tarot vid. :D Your categories were great and made a lot of sense! I could totally follow your line of thinking. I was definitely surprised to see Chakra Healing Tarot in the Nope category. Although thinking back, I'm pretty sure I've heard you mention not connecting with it in a previous video? idk my memory is garbage this pandemic lol D: I still haven't gotten to work with my copy of the Chakra Healing Tarot so it would fall under the TBA category for me. Same with Cosma Visions Oracle. I've played with one of the past life spreads in the book, but I still haven't determined how I'm going to work with that deck. Prisma Visions was also a big question mark for me until right at the end of December when I ended up using it for year-end wrap up readings. The wintery blues and dreamy artwork turned out to be perfect for my end-of-year reflections.
Wow this was interesting Lisa - and some of these definitely surprised me but wow you did so well with this. I don't know if I could do this for mine for 2021. I think I will try to keep a list of the 2022 decks as you have done just so I can at least look back. So organised and inspiring 👏 💓 Xxx
I love this idea, Lisa! I looked up the Charmcaster and I see that there is a metal version on Kickstarter- I found it intriguing. And this is a BUNCH of decks! I'm impressed that you can keep them all straight!💜 Happy New Year!
Prisma Visions is pretty but only in my OK category until I got Cosma Visions. In my opinion, the two work together amazingly well and it made me excited to work with both of them. Forest Fae is one I intend never to part with. It hits some part of my psyche just right and it has a place of honor on my tarot desk. It even outranks Roots and Wings, although to save my life I couldn’t tell you why. I bought Shaman’s Dream after seeing you anti-haul it and haven’t been sorry. I have to admit, though, that a good part of that is that I fell hard for one particular card in the deck (the crazy creative cat). I agree with you on at least two of your Wowzas. Healing Waves and Gentle Tarot are both balms to my soul. Reclaim I’m giving one more try. I’ve paired it with Playful Heart and a cute affirmation/self-care deck I got from MPC. I think third time might be the charm. Two of your Nope decks at least are in my deck lust category. I haven’t yet found the One True Plant Deck, and Seed and Sickle looks promising. I can’t remember the name of the other one, Nature Spirit, I think? That’s what I get for letting myself get distracted halfway through writing. I’m curious - do you know how many decks you own? And I almost forgot, when you do your review of Coastal Curiosities, I *really* want to hear what you think of the guidebook entries.
Loved your video, as usual. I was surprised you did not mention the Somnia Tarot, because I thought it came out this year and I would have thought Dustin might have talked you into it. It so seems like a deck that would appeal to him and possibly Dani. I would really like to get your thoughts on it however since our taste more closely align (not on all decks obviously, but on most).
@@isawhat8712 thank you. When i first saw the deck I didn’t think it was my style either. However, after watching more reviews It appears to be growing on me. Lisa always does such wonderful reviews and has the ability to cut to the chase on a deck, so I was hoping for a more in-depth opinion from her.
That's a great chart! It's fascinating that you can keep all those decks straight in your head! You're not the first person I've seen to have a Meh reaction to the Green Witch Tarot. I guess some think it's too gentle or wimpy, but I think it has some rather subtly empowering cards (especially for females). The 3 of Athames has the woman actively choosing how she will move on. The 10 of Athames likewise has the woman preparing a ceremony to release her pain. So too in the 5 of Chalices, where the woman is actively dumping out the emotions which no longer serve her. The 8 of Wands looks weird at first, but she is preparing her stuff for when the big favorable wind shows up. And in the 7 of Wands, the young woman is either hanging up her wand after a success or taking it down but, either way, her hand on her hip and the confidence and determination on her face portend a good outcome (as opposed to the RWS guy who looks determined but also kinda scared). I'm new to Tarot and have acquired a mere 7 decks, which suit me fine for now, maybe forever. But it's amazing to see all the decks out there and how diverse they are in imagery and overall "feel ". If you read for clients, you obviously need a fair choice of decks, and there sure are oodles to choose from!
I'm surprised The Witches Tarot didn't make it on here! It's a deck that really surprised me, love it! You inspired me to get it😃 It's different, so will take me a bit to "get used to" it.....but it's so wonderful! Love these videos!!!! So awesome seeing and hearing your thoughts on decks🤗❤️🦄
@@Lisa_Papez ok whew! That makes sense Haahaa! I was hoping! 😂😍 I wish I had half the ambition and creativity that you have in making these fabulous videos👏
This was interesting. I had no idea how many decks you acquired in a year and considering the number of nopes, think maybe you might want to strive for greater discernment in 2022. But I was thrilled by your Wowza choices and glad you recapped them. I kept anxiously waiting to see if Dream Vision was going to make it and was glad it did. Seeing all these, I don't know how you find enough time in the year to use them all. You must spend every waking hour shuffling cards. I think I must have acquired a dozen decks in 2021 and only use about 4 at a time (but everybody know that I am quite the card curmudgeon). lol. I think reselling and having to deal with the post office is enough to keep me from acquiring too many decks I won't use, so I definitely check out walkthroughs before each purchase. Where do you list your decks you're re-homing?
This was hard to see and you spoke a little fast and I couldn't catch all the names of the decks. A list to read in the description would have helped. But its a great theme for a vlog!
