Vick was the first QB to ever rush for 1,000 yards in a season. He was must-watch television every week and when we talk about “video-game players” Vick is the prime example. He was so good in Madden 2004 that many players banned the Falcons because he was so unfair 😂
Like Jeremy Shockey in Madden 08 where any time you threw him a slant you just started hearing large stomping feet and he was running past DBs who had the angle on him like they were standing still.
Vick had one of the strongest arms ever and was the best athlete to ever play QB. I understand that some people will never forgive him for his crimes, but he seems to have truly changed since, at least as much as any athlete I've seen. He was a genuinely incredible player to watch.
Fun fact, the guy mentioned at 0:53 "block by Ferguson" played with me in high school - D'Brickashaw Ferguson, 3x Pro Bowler for the Jets. One time during practice he legitimately smashed me into the ground so hard while blocking that I blacked out (probable concussion) and it took him no effort at all. He barely fit in my car by senior year being over 6 foot 6, we all knew he was going places Edit: sponsors?! hell yeah guys, you've really made it now

It's hard to tell but the game from #2 waa represented 3 or 4 times on this list. It was Monday night and his first game with the Eagles after serving a jail sentence several years. Probably one of the greatest games for a QB
I was watching that at work with the guy I was playing against in fantasy football. Monday night down by like 55 points with only my man Vick left to play, one of the funnest nights watching football I ever had. 😂
It was an absolute nightmare for defenses to stop Vick, running the ball tires out the defense. Especially very long runs to extend drives. And Vick had incredible pocket awareness and speed to compliment those attributes. His arm was also insane even while throwing off balance. Vick was my favorite player to watch. Players can still play like he does, but are taught to slide to evade big hits from defenders. A Quarterback Sliding stops the play. Lamar Jackson is an example of a recent player that rushed for over 1,000 yards as a Quarterback breaking Vick’s single season rushing record.
You’re not wrong about him running so much being detrimental for his longevity, but he was so unique, especially at the time and so dynamic that his legs were deadly especially when he was with Atlanta
Vick was probably a first to bring a whole new dimension to the quarterback. NFL teams look for these type of quartbacks now because of him. When your can throw and run it gives defenses more to think about.
You brought up the question of whether or not you’d like to see him run so much and potentially risk getting hurt. For dual threat quarterbacks, this will always be a point of contention. It is a double edged sword, exciting to watch, and can create amazing plays. But yeah, it does increase the chances for serious injury. Coaches and General Managers are always sort of fighting what to do when they have one of these players. It will be a debate topic any time a player like this enters the league. They also are hesitant to give long-term contracts to players like this because of the increased chances of serious injury as well. Love your reactions.
Just consider some of the good QBs who had longevity, Brady, Roethlisberger, Rivers, Mannings none of them runners by any stretch. Running Qbs are exciting and tough to gameplan against but they dont last long.
Thanks Joe, we really appreciate the support, love that you’re loving the content! Great context here, makes complete sense too, really is a double edged sword scenario.
What you do is you build your team around your best players strengths and get backups who fit that mold, like the Ravens have. The last few seasons they have made the playoffs running the same system while Lamar has been getting hurt. The offense is disciplined and blocks fantastic and the backup quarterbacks all run well. The falcons issues were they had statues like Matt Schaub backing Vick up so the offense was completely different without Vick.
I had a teacher in high-school who played on the falcons with Mike Vick. He told me if an average person could run as fast as Mike Vick and dove like he did, would destroy your body from what he does
Vick's combine time in the 40 yd. dash was 4.33 seconds, which was and is unheard of for a QB. He was not a puny guy, either. He was muscled out. His speed was spectacular. I can't say he was elusive as a runner. He just sped by tacklers and could not be brought down by an arm tackle. Some players are just special due to having physical talents that make them shine when compared to the other great athletes they play with and against. Vick was one of those special talents. He also had the ability to toss the football 50 yeards down the field with just a flick of his wrist. It is too bad he felt dog fighting was an OK hobby.
Love the channel, been binging over the past couple of days. Would love to see a reaction to Gale Sayers! He could run, catch and return……. The Kansas Comet!

Vick's pro career lasted from 2001 through 2015, with two years off in prison (07-8) for running a dogfighting ring. The Falcons released him after his conviction, and he managed to get going again with the Eagles. He spent five years with the Eagles (09-13), a year with the Jets and a year with the Steelers before sitting out 2016 and retiring in 2017.
Hi guys. Damo I agree with you that you would think the owners would have wanted him to play more conservatively and use his arm. However, I don't recall Vick actually getting hurt that often, which was surprising. Maybe near the end of his career, but from the time he started playing at Virginia Tech in his college career to the time with the Falcons and Eagles, he was always running like this and I don't recall any serious injuries that kept him out for long. He was an extraordinary athlete. Great review as always guys!!
Thanks Bryan, really appreciate the comment as always 🙏 That’s great that he managed to avoid injury playing the way he did. Definitely an exceptional talent!
@@DNReacts He was Vick before Vick. But if you want to watch who Vick was before Cunningham, watch Fran Tarkenton. He's part of a much older generation, so the video is limited and old.
Your instincts about running QB's being a point of contention for coaches, GMs, and owners (I'll add in fan bases and sports talk shows as well) was spot on. When they are healthy and firing on all cylinders its extremely exciting to watch and hard to defend. But the big problem is staying healthy. Vick was plagued by injuries his entire career. Lamar Jackson is a modern day example, who seems to miss games and be banged up in the playoffs every year, but plays at an MVP level when he's actually out there. Numerous other dynamic running QBs have had the same issue. None have ever really just stayed healthy from my memory. The issue of staying healthy through a 16 (and nowadays 17) game season, and then being able to be at your best for the playoffs at the end of it is probably a huge reason why there are only 2 Running QBs to even reach the Super Bowl in Modern History (Cam Newton 2016, and Jalen Hurts this year). There are a bunch in the list of QBs that did make/win Super Bowls who could make big plays with their legs like Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Russel Wilson and Steve Young. But they were all Elite Passers who only ran opportunistically. They aren't viewed as running QBs. There's no official metric or distinction to decide who is a Running QB and who isn't so these lists are all subjective of course. I personally draw the line at whether or not that team's offense features a significant amount of plays that are designed QB runs from the start or not. By that metric, Jalen Hurts and Cam Newton are the only running QBs in modern history to make it to a Super Bowl (Both Lost).
Great comment Deano, thank you for this. Sums it up really nicely and these were the lines I was thinking along with this discussion. Really appreciate it 🙏
The difference between a running QB, like Lamar, Kyler Murray, Josh Allen and a QB that scrambles like Rodgers, Mahomes is that a team with a running QB designs play where the option is for the QB to run the ball. When Mahomes or Burrow run the ball, it is almost always because the play has broken down.
You should watch the video of him throwing a football out of the stadium. That's how strong his arm was. He played for 4 teams during his career: the Falcons, Eagles, Jets, and Steelers.
That video is fake bud. Even a decent southern high school football stadium is going to take the ability to throw 100 yards to get it out of stadium because of the elevation of the stands. They did the same fake commercial type thing with Josh Allen except he was throwing from the start of the stands to the end of the stands. That Vick video he is throwing from the opposite 30. He would have had to throw the ball 100 yards just to get it to the stands. Also, do you not see the ball just keep rising as it leaves the stadium? Physics don't work like that.
Y’all should react to The Miracle at the New Meadowlands! As an Eagles, and a Michael V fan, truly one of the most remarkable comebacks in sports history
Y’all are one of my favorite channels now. Keep it up boys! Also, please do the Stafford number 1 all time mic’d up video: ua-cam.com/video/QaJlARIsLek/v-deo.html I know it’s short, but it’s two of the best game winning plays in mic’d up history. Not only one of the great fake spikes of all time, which had the whole Cowboys team fooled, but also his own team had no idea (I don’t know how far you guys are in your American football learning’, but when a quarterback spikes the ball on the ground, it’s like an incomplete pass directly into the dirt in front of them. It wastes a down, but it also stops the clock. Mainly used in late game situations, when the game clock is your biggest obstacle) but also one of the best injury moments of all time. Dude literally has his shoulder separated, got pulled from the game with one play left. Lions put on their backup, the other team calls a timeout. Because they called the timeout, that meant the Lions were able to make a substitute. Just like some movie-type shit. No rush, just add it to the docket if you could. It would make me sooo happy! And who likes to make people happy? You guys, that’s who!
Thanks Benjamin, really appreciate the comment 🙏 Thank you for the link, always handy. I’ve got it onto the list and as it’s a short one we’ll have a look at when we can do it. We did have him on our list as well so got be a double winner. We do like to make people happy 💪
Your observation is spot on. A head coach, and the entire team, constantly has to walk the line between taking advantage of what a QB like Vick can do with his legs vs his arm. The answer ends up being "get as much yardage as you can, then either get down or out of bounds." I will say, however, as good as Vick was, there was one team that he played twice in that rookie year that really had his number: the Buccaneers. The '02 Bucs had a defense that year that was probably in the top 3 of all time. I think, if not for Ray Lewis, who was great, everyone would refer to Brooks as the greatest in that position at that time. Both were great linebackers, but there were stark differences in the types of team defense. I personally think this gave Lewis the numbers edge.
Mike Vick was one of the players who was an inspiration to an entire generation of players, like myself. In the 6th grade I had a pair of the "Michael Vick" Nike cleats.
Obviously he's mostly known for his running ability, but his arm strength isn't talked about enough. He just made it look so effortless. A quick flick of his wrist and all of a sudden the ball's going 50+ yards
When he first came into the league all the analyst criticized his throw form. It looked too effortless to be affective. However I thought is was a thing of beauty.
When you talk about him running alone the problem is that Vick was a legitimate 4.2s/40 runner, and adrenaline always makes game speed a bit quicker at times. He wasn't running alone because he had no team, he had the speed to outrun everyone on the field, and while he had great vision, he was too impatient to set up blockers in some situations. He just wanted to hit the gas and go, fuck a motorcade.
You hit on the age old QB debate - the prototypical 6'5", 230 pound pocket passer that only runs when he has to (Tom Brady), versus the 5'10" 200 pound mobile QB that is prone to injury. Pocket passers get injured too, from being sacked, but they're not moving 15 MPH when they get sacked, and the sackers, while large, aren't moving that fast either.
That's what made him dangerous for defenses. His ability to throw bombs and also his scrambling. No other quarterbacks were running like that. He was super slippery and they never knew what the man was going to do
Hey Guys! Enjoyed the video. How about finding his college days highlights. Also,The question of should you allow your quarterback to play that way? The game of football here in America has different types of quarterbacks. We have scrabbling running QB’s like Vick,Jackson and Mahones and some others. Then there is just the stand in the pocket and throw QB. So a coach gets the quarterback he wants.
Thank you Kenneth, we really appreciate the comment 🙏 We’re still very small but hopefully we keep growing and all your fantastic support helps us there
As a quarterback some of the most horrific hits come while we are in the pocket, when we’re running around we kind of know it’s coming and can brace for it. A blindside or a Roll out sack?? nightmare😢
Vick might be the most talented, but he underachieved in the league. Lamar already has had a better career, tbh, and I say that as someone who was a massive Vick fan as a kid.,
@@kdsburneraccount7476in that context, Lamar is better now because he plays in todays NFL. If Mike Vick played in an era with zone reads and designed qb runs he’d be one of the greatest qbs of all time. Of course, he is the reason this era exists.
@@TheChillShill Lamar is still a far more accurate thrower than Vick ever was and navigates the pocket a lot better than Vick did so that's a moot point. Obvs today's offenses are more QB friendly, but I'd also wager that Lamar would have more success as a passer running the offense Vick did in Atlanta
That OT game against Minnesota, I had bet Atlanta (-3.5) and was pissed because once it went to overtime I assumed it was over. Then Michael Vick saved my bacon.
Guys you need to do reaction video's to Barry Sanders and Randy Moss, they are literal highlight reels for American football. Love your channel, only been able to watch a few video's so far but I can feel your passion for football. What are your favorite teams and players?
Also, great point about owners not wanting their quarterbacks to take risks like Vick did. There have been many cases of this especially in recent years with the recent wave of more versatile quarterbacks.
I dont remember who said it, but saw in a old NFL highlight video, Vick wasnt the first running QB, but it was the first time in the modern era that the QB was the FASTEST player on the field, the best athlete on the field. That was something defenses really were not ready for. They were used to 'mobile' QBs yes, that would scramble to make nothing into a 5 yard gain, to bite them on 3rd and 4th down...they were used to that. They were NOT used to that acceleration getting around the edge, juking their best tacklers, and running 40 yards.
That game you guys kept seeing against the Redskins was probably the greatest game I’ve ever seen by a quarterback. He had something like 400 yards passing and 70 rushing with 5 passing tds including that 95 yard throw to desean
You should react to LeSean McCoy. Similar to Barry Sanders in the way he got away from people and was shifty. Definitely an all time great Running Back
To answer the question about teams: He was drafted by the Falcons. After returning to the league after legal troubles he was signed by The Eagles, and after a few seasons joined The Steelers as a backup for one year, then I believe was his one year stint in New York with the Jets before retiring. And when it comes to injury potential: Yes. He was injured often, and rarely played a full season. One contributing factor into why he did not see a lot of success in his career. The team was built around him, but if he wasn't playing 100% or playing at all things derailed quickly. Had a much more solid team in Philly and had his most succesful run there.
He got injured a lot 😢 but he was so dynamic at times played thru injuries but he played for 4 teams falcons being his draft team then eagles Jets and finished his career in Pittsburgh
Great vid! I've mentioned it before, but I think a fun reaction would be to James Harrison, from the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a part of the same defense as Polamalu, but he was one of the scariest players to ever play. Great story too, he went from undrafted to possibly being in the Hall of Fame.
Not sure how much video games you guys play but in the older Madden football games Vick was unstoppable. You could run all over the field with him and then throw darts at any point. I think he was even voted most unstoppable player in Madden ever
Thanks for the comment Michael, we really appreciate it! Had a lot of questions for us to play Madden, when it’s the off-season for most sports we might do some live streams around Madden. We’d have to see what happens time wise 🤞
If I’m not mistaken they sometimes called his throw a the Vick flick because it was like and effortless flick of his wrist and that ball zipped. Also he played for the Falcons, then after his prison sentence the Eagles signed him and he also played for the Steelers and Jets. Don’t know if you guys know the storyline surrounding his Jail time, it’s still a hot button topic but I think it worth checking out to see how he revived his career after his darkest days.
Being here since the beginning makes it all so special man, really excited for you guys getting what I believe is your first sponsor!! Keep it up y’all, from seeing your guys knowledge of sports improve to the improvements in quality videos. Keep it up y’all. Your absolutely killing it!
It's interesting to see the difference in speed from Falcons clips to Eagles clips. He was still fast as an Eagle... but those early Falcon years his speed was ridiculous.
No that's the thing his number-one primary game was running that's what's so incredible is that he had an arm like a f****** Cannon but once again he did not study and take much of it seriously in his first years he still made it to the NFC championship game he just didn't have that great A Team around him but he did around a lot a lot who else knows where else he did
As a Virginia Tech alum/fan, you definitely need to watch Vick's highlights from college. He was simply the fastest player on the field and has some iconic moments.
The real issue was Vick came into the game like 15 years too early. If he’s played in the offense of today he would have been able to run and pass without as much injury, but in the day he played in he was mostly running when he had no option and that leads to wild plays where injuries happen.
If you guy's noticed, Michael Vick did most of his running during his rookie contract with the Falcons. He became more of a passing / improvising QB after Andy Reid the guru got his hands on him. Coach Reid utilize the arm talent of Vick. Check out Justin fields 22 highlights. Keep up the good work.
Hey, thanks for this. We have completed a reaction of Justin Field’s 2022 Season Highlights. Unfortunately the NFL blocked 🚫 the reaction and we cannot upload to UA-cam. We have added it to our Patreon where there’s a ton of content we’re unable to put on UA-cam.
He had all the arm strength and agility/speed in the world, but that doesn't mean he was always consistent as a passer. Regarding your question about protecting a running quarterback, Robert Griffin III was a very highly regarded quarterback out of college. His team traded multiple 1st round draft picks just to move up in the draft to get him, and he had a great rookie season, but the play style took a toll on his body. By the time the playoffs started, his knee was already hurt, and despite all logic his team had him play with a knee brace in muddy field conditions. Unsurprisingly, he hurt his leg even worse in the game, and his career mostly got derailed after that.
Vick became a much better passer after he went to PHI, he admitted he didn't really work until he got there, he was just using natural ability for most of his career. Also he dealt with rib injuries multiple times due to his size and running, so much so he started wearing flak jackets later in his career. Everyone wanted to be like Vick in his prime and it was well warranted. Edit- #2 was on the first play of the game and they blew them out that game so badly it is referred to as the Monday Night Massacre. Vick also played for the Jets and Steelers as a backup primarily towards the end of his career.
Thank you for the suggestion, really appreciate this, will check it’s on the watch list, thanks for the comment. We run regular polls on our Discord for all members to have a say in what videos we do next if you’re not already on there 🙏
when madden turned that corner and had better franchise mode create a characters and legends you could unlock. mike vick and barry sanders won 13 straight super bowls for me
Whether or not to minimize your QB running is always a point of contention. The thing about Vick was (and you won't really get a sense of this from a career highlight reel), he wasn't super accurate on short and intermediate throws which are essential to having true success as a QB. He threw one of the prettiest deep balls you'll ever see, but he struggled with touch and timing on shorter throws. But his rushing ability was such a threat that defenses often lost receivers because they were so concerned about him taking off. And that created much wider windows for him to throw the ball which sort of mitigated his relative lack of accuracy. So his ability to run and the threat of him running made him a much more effective passer than he would have been without it.
the more options the quarterback has during the course of the game is determined by the variety of options he has taken to this point in the game as well as historically. a stationary quarterback will get extra pressure then one who is a threat like this, you need to account for his options.
Love your channel! Been watching since your first video. To answer your question.. there are LOTS of young running quarterbacks... but no old ones for a reason.. it only works for so long until a serious injury usually
In addition, most "mobile" quarterbacks are not successful pocket passers and lack accuracy when heir feet are set, and fail to make the adjustments needed. Vick however was an exception.. when he lost a step from age and injury he was able to develope the pocket passing skills needed to continue winning.
And also the Falcon's receivers weren't the most reliable, that's one reason he had to run so much too. And while his arm maybe wasn't the absolute most accurate -- I'd have to see stats -- I think the amount of effort the defense has to put in to stopping his running game gives him a bit more room for error. Plus, how accurate would Tom Brady or Peyton Manning have been if they took the hits Vick did?
Thank you for the comment and the suggestion, really appreciate this, will check it’s on the watch list. We run regular polls on our Discord for all members to have a say in what videos we do next if you’re not already on there 🙏
Vick is currently on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame for the first time. He's been eligible for years, but a player's post-university life is a factor, so the dog-fighting thing was a factor for his consideration, and his restitution will be a factor in his potential induction.
@@Kim-427 , You’re right. I don’t think of him anymore as the guy who did those deeds - but I know, like _he_ has acknowledged, that it’s part of his story. He’s atoned in my mind and I enjoy him on Fox Sports, the _Colin Cowherd Show,_ etc. Seeing they’ve put him on the ballot shows most folks see him in a positive light as a person, not just a phenomenal footballer. ✌️👍
@@Darmesis It was just something that I knew would happen. And I guess a part of me didn’t want strangers knowing our dirty laundry in a way. Lol I wanted our visitors to just admire one of our greats. Lol
@@Kim-427 , P.S. If I was watching just a Vick highlight I wouldn’t have brought it up (unless the vid was about his potential induction to the CFHOF). Because these guys are new to FB (and I believe they knew about Vick to some extent, but vaguely) I was adding context and, because the news just broke recently, info to all. ✌️
To your point at 9:14, the thing is Vick was not just the best running QB, he was one of the top 5 most elusive and fastest runners in the league at ANY position. So to just take that out of his game would be like telling Roberto Carlos never to join the offense or something. It’s a special instance… he wasn’t just a good running QB, he would have been one of the best players at any “skill” position… but he could throw with the best of them and had an effortless cannon for an arm. All this together made him one of the best QBs of all time. Also, you should see what he did in college… yeesh.
Sponsorship! Let's gooooo!!!! Anyway, yeah, the question of whether or not you want your star QB taking or risking hits is a question that has been asked since QBs started making millions of dollars. He was much tougher than most QBs and, while getting a little bit of a rap for being injury-prone, he did not miss a heck of a lot of time due to injury, he just was playing banged up a lot. He probably didn't play as long as he could have if he was a pure pocket passer but he had such a strong arm and ability to evade the pass rush that he did last longer than some other speedster, run-first QBs. You definitely have not seen anyone like him but you haven't watched Cam Newton yet. I personally think Vick was still better but Cam had a very similar style and skillset. He did start with the Falcons but they cut him when he ran into some very unfortunate off-the-field issues that eventually landed him in jail....I can't condone anything he did, in fact, it was all quite abhorrent, but I do get the sense that he has fully repented and all accounts of him since have marked him as a model citizen. But, damn, just damn....Anyway, he served his time then revived his career with the Eagles and finished it off with a whimper with the Jets (as most QBs who play for the Jets do).
Mike Vick was Lamar Jackson before Lamar Jackson. An absolute LAZER of an arm. Paved the way for athletic QBs of this era. Crazy thing is he would be much much better had he played in this era compared to the 2000s. The NFL was trying to turn him into a QB that he wasn’t because the league wasn’t that evolved with the RPO scheme yet. Put Vick in this era with the RPO and golly he would be unstoppable.

@@elishuk9942 Rodgers could run.
@@6mcneills But the ravens fall apart.
This man could absolutely spin it!
100%
It is too bad he felt dog fighting was an OK hobby.
vick was crazy talented. Insane athlete with a rocket launcher for an arm.
One of my favorite players growing up, a lot of qb’s nowadays play like him… can throw and run. Truly ahead of his time

Hallelujah you have done it ❤, keep this going love nfl reactions 🔥

He was called “the human highlight reel” ran like 4.3 in the 40, and threw absolute lazers
If you haven't watched Randal Cunningham. Watch that guy.
Thanks Kevin!
Your guy's knowledge of football has grown a lot and you make a lot good points and comments. Im a proud viewer lol
Appreciate that! Thanks for the support!
Agreed. It has been a ton of fun watching them learn the game.
Thank you Steve!

Smooth transition into the sponsor spot. Great job, guys. This is a good channel.
Appreciate that Tony, you can tell we are new to it 😂 but it was fun!
Y’all are one of my favorite channels now. Keep it up boys! Also, please do the Stafford number 1 all time mic’d up video:
ua-cam.com/video/QaJlARIsLek/v-deo.html
I know it’s short, but it’s two of the best game winning plays in mic’d up history.
Dang its been quite some time since I've seen some Mike Vike highlights, I forgot how beautiful of a ball he threw deep.
Vick is still very collectable in the hobby...great athlete
He really was!
Your observation is spot on. A head coach, and the entire team, constantly has to walk the line between taking advantage of what a QB like Vick can do with his legs vs his arm. The answer ends up being "get as much yardage as you can, then either get down or out of bounds."
I will say, however, as good as Vick was, there was one team that he played twice in that rookie year that really had his number: the Buccaneers.
Thanks for the comment Chaz! It’s good to know we are starting to talk sense 😂
Mike Vick was one of the players who was an inspiration to an entire generation of players, like myself. In the 6th grade I had a pair of the "Michael Vick" Nike cleats.
MV is one of those players you love to watch when he's not playing against your team.
Can definitely imagine this Brian, really appreciate the comment.
mike vick is the truly the nfls michael jordan nobody has influenced and changed the game like him
When Vick was on he was so much fun to watch
Obviously he's mostly known for his running ability, but his arm strength isn't talked about enough. He just made it look so effortless. A quick flick of his wrist and all of a sudden the ball's going 50+ yards
Guy had an absolute cannon, maybe stronger than Farve
When he first came into the league all the analyst criticized his throw form. It looked too effortless to be affective. However I thought is was a thing of beauty.
Ayy you got a sponsor let's gooo! Happy for y'all, you deserve it
Appreciate it Seth 🙏🏼
Awesome video, vick forever changed the qb position. Yall should check out james harrison soon, Deebo was a scary dude
Hey Kim, really appreciate the context and comment, thank you 🙏 Will make sure it’s noted on the list about College Highlights too.

As a quarterback some of the most horrific hits come while we are in the pocket, when we’re running around we kind of know it’s coming and can brace for it. A blindside or a Roll out sack?? nightmare😢
No, you haven't seen a running quarterback better than this. Nobody has. I don't know if anyone ever will.
Cam and Lamar were/are both better so...
Obvs today's offenses are more QB friendly, but I'd also wager that Lamar would have more success as a passer running the offense Vick did in Atlanta
wish there were a few mike vick steelers plays in here😢miss the short time he played with us
Yeah Vick was crazy, he definitely had that dawg in him.
The 88 yard touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson was incredible. Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson was the best Quarterback-Widereciever Duo in the NFL!!!

That OT game against Minnesota, I had bet Atlanta (-3.5) and was pissed because once it went to overtime I assumed it was over. Then Michael Vick saved my bacon.
As a Vikings fan, I'm still traumatized by that game.
Guys you need to do reaction video's to Barry Sanders and Randy Moss, they are literal highlight reels for American football.
Love your channel, only been able to watch a few video's so far but I can feel your passion for football.

Love the cheeky segue into the sponsored ad ;) Great video as usual, guys! Congrats on the continued success!
Also, great point about owners not wanting their quarterbacks to take risks like Vick did. There have been many cases of this especially in recent years with the recent wave of more versatile quarterbacks.
Really appreciate your support Don, thank you for the comment! Lol, that was a first take as well 😂 Appreciate everything
Double threat.
Great Arm.
Great Legs.
Absolutely!
They were NOT used to that acceleration getting around the edge, juking their best tacklers, and running 40 yards.
love to see the passionate boys across the pond enjoying some good old american breakneck football :D
Thank you, we really appreciate that 🤝
That game you guys kept seeing against the Redskins was probably the greatest game I’ve ever seen by a quarterback. He had something like 400 yards passing and 70 rushing with 5 passing tds including that 95 yard throw to desean
That TD to Celek against the bears is the most accurate pass of all time
True definition of threading the needle.
You should react to LeSean McCoy. Similar to Barry Sanders in the way he got away from people and was shifty. Definitely an all time great Running Back
SPONSORSHIP!!! Congrats guys!!!
Ayy let’s go!
To answer the question about teams:
He was drafted by the Falcons.
After returning to the league after legal troubles he was signed by The Eagles, and after a few seasons joined The Steelers as a backup for one year, then I believe was his one year stint in New York with the Jets before retiring.
And when it comes to injury potential:
Yes.
Thank you Conor! Appreciate the suggestion!
James "The Hitman" "Silverback" "Deebo" Harrison.
The man had so many nicknames, lol.
Love Harrison.
Agreed 100%! Pittsburgh Steeler Nation is here for it.
Hey, first time ever one of my suggestions was done. He did break his leg costing him a season with Atlanta from playing so hard and not sliding.
Thank you so much Evan, really appreciate your support for the channel. 🙏
It's interesting to see the difference in speed from Falcons clips to Eagles clips. He was still fast as an Eagle... but those early Falcon years his speed was ridiculous.
Congrats on the sponsor!
No that's the thing his number-one primary game was running that's what's so incredible is that he had an arm like a f****** Cannon but once again he did not study and take much of it seriously in his first years he still made it to the NFC championship game he just didn't have that great A Team around him but he did around a lot a lot who else knows where else he did
There has never been a running qb this exciting
As a Virginia Tech alum/fan, you definitely need to watch Vick's highlights from college. He was simply the fastest player on the field and has some iconic moments.
The real issue was Vick came into the game like 15 years too early. If he’s played in the offense of today he would have been able to run and pass without as much injury, but in the day he played in he was mostly running when he had no option and that leads to wild plays where injuries happen.
Vick led the eagles to one of the greatest comebacks In nfl history vs the giants in 2010 it's awesome
Sounds like a great story!
The same people that had a problem with Vic usually have big band jerseys lol…
Mike Vick ran a legit 4.27 40yard dash. He could also throw the ball almost 100yards.
If you love this style of QB...Steve Young is who Vick modelled himself. Steve Young is Aaron Rodgers and Micheal Vick mixed into one body.

when madden turned that corner and had better franchise mode create a characters and legends you could unlock. mike vick and barry sanders won 13 straight super bowls for me
Whether or not to minimize your QB running is always a point of contention.
Great comment, thanks Nick. Really helps to read comments like this to see the bigger picture, appreciate it 🙏
the more options the quarterback has during the course of the game is determined by the variety of options he has taken to this point in the game as well as historically. a stationary quarterback will get extra pressure then one who is a threat like this, you need to account for his options.
Love your channel! Been watching since your first video. To answer your question.. there are LOTS of young running quarterbacks... but no old ones for a reason.. it only works for so long until a serious injury usually
Thank you for your support Jay, we really appreciate it 🙏 Thanks for the comment
In addition, most "mobile" quarterbacks are not successful pocket passers and lack accuracy when heir feet are set, and fail to make the adjustments needed. Vick however was an exception.. when he lost a step from age and injury he was able to develope the pocket passing skills needed to continue winning.
GO BILLS !!!!
His arm was strong, but not consistently accurate. Also the threat of him running softened up the secondary giving him better coverage to throw at.
And also the Falcon's receivers weren't the most reliable, that's one reason he had to run so much too. And while his arm maybe wasn't the absolute most accurate -- I'd have to see stats -- I think the amount of effort the defense has to put in to stopping his running game gives him a bit more room for error.
Plus, how accurate would Tom Brady or Peyton Manning have been if they took the hits Vick did?
thats mostly right. . but somehow after prison with the eagles he was a bit more accurate
Better than watching highlights of Vick's 50 greatest dog fights.
you guys have to watch his college highlights!!! it's will blow your mind!!!!

A flick of the wrist without stepping into the throw accurately for 50 yards. First play of his career was a 80 yard TD
Vick is currently on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame for the first time.
He's been eligible for years, but a player's post-university life is a factor, so the dog-fighting thing was a factor for his consideration, and his restitution will be a factor in his potential induction.
I don’t know much about the case. I know he spent time out of the league, came back, and still had defenses respect.
C’mon guys I knew someone would mess up the good vibes of this video. I’m not saying cover it up but let’s enjoy the man playing ability.

Vick is by far the best Scrambling QB to ever do it, period.
Vicks arm was extremely strong!
My boys got the sponsor!
Put Vick in this era with the RPO and golly he would be unstoppable.
unlike Lamar, Vick was purely a scrambler. They werent doing designed runs or option plays in 2003.
