Ermin's book Systematic Mixing Guide is the sole reason my mixing chops massively improved. Highly recommended. Anyway, great to see him on the show. The dude is a legend.
Just joined “Kohle Audio Kult” and started my education at the academy with taking Ermin’s mastering metal course! And this one is truly amazing course , really very well done and very well explained! I’m sure “Kohle Audio Kult” will be a great place for all metalheads who want to learn how to produce metal on a really high level! Thank you Ermin for creating your wonderful course for the academy! Really great interview Warren! Thank you so much Warren for promoting amazing people like Ermin on your wonderful channel!
I remember when the systematic mixing guide dropped! I also remember not having any money to buy it lol! Now that it's 10 years later and I have a job, maybe I should look into purchasing it....
Ermin is such a well-spoken dude and a killer mastering engineer. I've worked with him a number of times and I always trust his ears to deliver the final sheen.
Love Ermin and although some think he comes of dickish I don't see it and really think he has a great mindset and way of approaching things. Great interview!
The mic on Hamidovic is ironically difficult to listen too, it sounds like a call from Moscow to Havana circa 1977. It gets worse the closer he gets to the diaphragm so I guess he's got a hot mic.

Yes I do. I mostly just get level, maybe a touch of compression, mono the low frequencies and maybe some tape saturation.

Yes, very well said!
I wish I had coined that but it has stayed with me for many many years. My voiceover mentor John Galt (RIP) told me that in the very beginning.

Hot, compressed, and too close.
