Had a nice couple of new ones recently. Made by 'brugse whisky company' belgium. Wasn't expecting to much from belgium whisky but must admit the taste was very very nice. Rogia canasta sherry cask and rogia champagne cask sold out in 13 seconds and i know why..really nice. Try to get them and try it
I bought a bottle just to give this a go but have seemingly lucked out (maybe). I paid for the 2022 release but have to 2021 version (40%). This seems to be double the price now (MacAllen effect?) so this question is, Open it and see or stick it on a shelve with fingers crossed
I do (truly) wish that he was exaggerating, but I'm afraid he's not. I'm a regular Macallan drinker, so I have to say with some angst that this is the most disappointing bottle of Mcallan I've ever purchased. Embarrassingly low ABV. Zero complexity. Short-medium (mostly short) finish. It improved a bit at the shoulder pour, but not by much. I periodically rate expressions for tastings, and have long believed that every single malt expression was at bare minimum an 80/100. This one honestly struggled to get there, if it ever truly did. Fine if you're sipping at a party. Not so much if you paid out of pocket, which I did. This was a pretty big miss, IMO.
Thanks for the review. Won't be rushing out to buy this one.
My pleasure. Unfortunately not one worth chasing. I wish it was
Mate, I love the shelving.
Thanks mate appreciate it 👊

Thanks! I guess that unless I'm going to lottery into getting a Macallan M, I might as well just bypass Macallan
There are still plenty of Macallan releases you can consider without lottery but yes the M ain’t a cheapie

I wouldn’t be in a rush to open this one mate
Thanks for this.
My pleasure. You bought a bottle or were considering?

Macallan overall is just not worth it anymore... It's good, but it's soooooo overpriced and there are so many better whiskies for less.
Hard to argue that point. Was epic. Some releases from time are solid but many are lacklustre and disappointing for the money paid
This is what poor people say just because you cant afford it dosent mean is bad product buddy
Why on earth would they release it again in 2022 if 2021 sucked?
Because it ‘Macallan’, that’s why
